Best Life Music is a an afrobeat music group that hails from Bujumbura, Burundi. It is made up of three members namely G Kiboko, Young Jpy and Mc Vitaa. Founded in 2009, the group is one of the most exciting music groups in the Burundi.

Their music combines elements of hip-hop and Afro-pop. They rap in English, Kirundi, French and Swahili languages to reflect their origins in East Africa and connect with the eastern people. Best Life Music uses influences from global, African and local engineering in the creation of their music.

Ay Wing's latest release 'Ego' is a beat driven feel-good anthem that speaks to the part of oneself that is capable of rebirth, of rising above challenges, and letting go. The musicality flaunts a Hip Hop House inspired beat and dreamy hook, along with Ay Wing's inspiring lyrics - taking listeners on a journey through their own psyche.

The song also calls listeners to zoom out to the wider lense of the universe, to see themselves as a part of the bigger picture and realise that we are just one tiny fragment in the scheme of things. 'Ego' is all about perspective, the upward turn and acceptance that occurs when we rebirth ourselves and are part of the 7 stages of grief.

‘Higher’ was written and performed by ELLE L, with production courtesy of ARH at Tileyard Studios, London. It was subsequently mixed by Dan Vinci (Ed Sheeran, Jessie Ware) and mastered by Chris Gheringer (Dua Lipa, Selena Gomez) at Sterling Sound.

ELLE L further explores the themes behind the song with its official video, a beautifully kaleidoscopic animation from Jack Zhang, one of the team behind the Dua Lipa x Elton John ‘Cold Cold Heart’ video. The narrative focuses on a young woman and a rabbit, who both dream of escaping far into the stratosphere above us. It adds a new string to her creative direction after the release of the striking, stylised aesthetic she first revealed with the video for ‘Hoping’.

Outside of music, ELLE L unites the worlds of fashion and sustainability with the aim of inspiring a more positive, eco-conscious future for the planet. She is a newly appointed Kindness Champion for UNESCO MGIEP’s #KindnessMattersglobal campaign. This year has also seen her address and showcase her music at the Frankfurt Fashion Summit and the UNESCO MGIEP’s 3rd World Youth Conference. This song was written recorded and produced by Kacey Who in their home studio in Bristol. The songs lyrics were inspired by Kacey's belief that most people conceal their true thoughts. The song touches on the confessions of peoples true nature and feelings.

An anthem to feel comfortable in your own skin, regardless of your sexuality, your desires, your weight or your body shape.

I think there’s a lot of pressure on people to present themselves in a proper, gentle and socially acceptable way and because of this people often feel the need to hide their sexual diversity and desires. Sometimes only feeling safe to truly express themselves in closeted or underground environments, even when there’s a risk of being “discovered” and shamed.

For me, being assertive when you’re a woman is often misconstrued as being bossy or bitchy and talking about sex or showing off your body opens the door to having your morals criticized.

I wrote Vixen as a way to shed my own fears around my body and my sexuality. People sexualize me all the time, it’s my body so why can’t I do the same?

I’ve come to a place where I no longer want to refine myself into less than I am just to make other people feel more comfortable. As long as you aren’t hurting anyone there’s no reason to be ashamed of who you want to be.

I think it’s important to feel empowered and confident in your skin, manifest good things for yourself, communicate what you need and want, to always maintain personal boundaries, have safe sex, it’s your body and your happiness.

Life is too short not to take what you want from it.

“Shot A Friend” came out completely out of nowhere on a rainy day in the studio. Because it was so sudden, I don’t think any of us thought of a storyline, we simply let the inspiration guide us through all sorts of deep feelings such as betrayal, guilt, love, pain, forgiveness, obsession and everything in between. As per usual, I got some inspiration from all my personal experiences, you guys know I do that a lot in my songs.

It’s about how you can fall in love so deeply and unexpectedly that you’re not able to realize that the one you fell in love with is your best friend’s lover.

I’m glad to be able to express my feelings in a different way and this is what “Shot A Friend” gave me: the opportunity to have a different mood on my music, to unleash Maria out of Holy Molly and to let her talk on this song. So here it is, enjoy!
