Already drawing the attention of A&R's around the country for singles due to come out later this year, Jessie Spartano is starting to earn lofty comparisons being called "the female version of NF." Jessie wants to be a female representative for rappers that addresses deeper topics than some of her female rapping peers. This first song "Are You Mad," is doing exactly that. Mental health spans from anxiety, to self-hate, to suicidal thoughts. It can silently creep into so many of our lives. The best way to fight these so-often unaddressed killers is to bring these conversations and thought into the open. This is Jessie's attempt to do so in her life.

Full Scale SF Action is a breakbeat single that leads the listener into a futuristic atmosphere. It combines synthesizer, rhodes and zither samples, kicked by an heavy rhythmic section ! The track is built as a journey that ends with an overing last part.

Misaïdu

A fraternal duo created by Thomas and Nicolas Beau, Misaidu stands out with its hybrid music. Through "Tiger Lily" and "How To Change", featured on U.BABA Vol.1, and a single titled "Half Light", we discover a generous and powerful sound, with multiple influences, sonorities and textures. This is no accident.

On the influences side of things, both brothers have bathed into the CDs, cassettes or vinyls of their parents. Quickly, they became independent music lovers and soaked up many genres ranging from hip hop to metal, from house to jazz and IDM.

The variety of processes sculpts the landscape of Misaidu’s music. The duo mixes sampling, analog and digital synthesis, drum machines and acoustic instruments such as bass or piano. The result is a colorful and bewitching electronic music and the duo wishes first and foremost to share their emotions and love for electronic music.

“Wasted” is the first track from our upcoming debut LP Midnight Island. Think of “Wasted” as an electric dream… flowing through you with a sense of hope, warmth, and belonging.

Produced in collaboration with the brilliant Matt di Pomponio, who will burst into the room and shout something like “Ok! Here’s what we are going to do: James is going to wrap a frayed patch cable around an old telephone, face north, and bite a pretzel into a microphone!” And yes...that is buried in the track somewhere.

Each of us has our own story of living through a powerful, but toxic relationship. The moment you realize that you deserve better, you reclaim your agency and the whole world opens up again—like when you were a child or a teenager discovering things for the first time. Once you know it, you can’t turn back.

What’s next is anyone’s guess, but for now life is an adventure again— and it’s all yours. Embodied in the lyric “Finding the sun means you need to leave home”, this track takes you on a trip of romantic nostalgia, forcing you to look deep and look ahead -- to find your own sun, wherever that might take you.

In August 2013, Zachary released his debut album, Before the Rain, which reached #37 on the New Age charts. Kathy Parsons, of MainlyPiano.com called the collection of original solo piano pieces “amazing music and an extraordinary beginning to a very promising career in music.” After being introduced to piano lessons at age 6, music composition almost instantly caught Zachary’s interest. And it wasn’t long before he was attempting to scribble down melodies and riffs onto homemade staff-paper. While composition came naturally to Zach, it took the constant encouragement of family and friends to finally persuade him to record his first album of his original compositions. Finally, after over 4 years of practicing, composing, and putting the final touches on the pieces, Zachary released his debut album of 12 original piano solos out into the world. The album would be titled, Before the Rain (2013). It did not take long before he saw an interest for his music, and a year later, he released his second album, Dawn Light (2014), which was promptly nominated and awarded 2015 Album of the Year by Whisperings Solo Piano Radio (2016). Zachary is currently working on his third solo piano album scheduled for release in late fall of 2018.

"This track was created after a free form recording session with friend and cellist Raphael Weinroth-Browne. I recorded Raphael improvising for a couple hours in several different keys and styles and then compiled the recordings into a sample library. I then chopped and layered sections of the of the recordings to create a rich soundscape of strings and pads that float gently underneath bubbling arpeggios."

Based in Toronto, Ontario the music of Sun Rain is an opportunity for composer/producer Chad Skinner to explore the sounds of modern classical, ambient, and downtempo. The main focus for this project is to create thoughtful music conducive to feelings of contemplative stillness for the calmer moments that life has to offer.

The fundament for this track was a rather hateful speech by one of our angry world leaders which I sampled an tried to turn into something beautiful. The result is this peaceful piano piece, which is essentially a loop, supplemented by drifitng synths, haunting cello’s and guitar. We can turn hate into beauty. Because we’re all together in this world and we’re here to love.
