In “vermilion”, SIKADE tells a fragmented story of obsession, intoxication and decay, revolving around the symbolism of a beautiful, but highly toxic red pigment. Harp arpeggios, brushed acoustic guitar, cinematic strings and ethereal vocals blends into a hypnotizing and rhythmic whirlwind. Inspired by artists like Björk, Soap&Skin and Agnes Obel, SIKADE’s combination of alt-pop and conceptual songwriting is already gaining traction after just two singe releases. “”vermilion”” is her third single from an upcoming debut album.
