“I’m not Pretty” initially exploded on Tik Tok when JESSIA introduced an acapella hook of the song by sharing, “I don’t know if this is total trash, or if it’s actually a bop.” Turns out, it was the latter as the clip racked up 1 million views in a day. The candid lyrics describe a journey towards self-love and the emotions one can feel while on its path – a message that has instantly resonated with audiences all over the world. Manuel David Vasquez, also dubbed as Mv among his friends and followers, is a fantastic musician, songwriter, and artist. While he lives in Melbourne, Australia, he was born and lived a significant part of his life in Colombia. Earlier as a child, he learned to play the violin when he was hardly five years old. Later as he grew older, he learned to play guitar and piano as well. Ideally, he mastered these instruments during his teenage years. But he understood the need to transition and that it was a crucial time to bring some significant change in life to make his work known. He decided to pack up and leave Colombia and migrated to Australia .

He is also an avid reader of Sci-Fi and CyberPunk and on a lazy day. Hence, he has recently started working on a Graphic Novel, Dusk Crisis. He has also combined Synthwave music that complements the genre of the novel.

In addition to these hobbies he pursues, Mv likes to travel and visits the historic and landmarks of each country. While touring new countries, he also explores history and culture of the music and observes the contemporary shift in music trends.

Philly Billy’s musical journey started at the age of ten. His first recollection is his father playing jazz on an old piano. By fourteen-years-old he handled the guitar so well, that he became the musical director of the local rock band Pale. His life in those days mainly revolved around a Gibson Les Paul guitar, a Marshall amplifier and a record player. By age 18, Philly Billy discovered his talents for producing and songwriting. He has been part of the Norwegian music scene ever since. After high school, he moved to Oslo to work at Disclab Studio.

His first official release was a UK remix of Lene Marlin’s debut hit single “Unforgivable Sinner.” Shortly after, he founded the Audioklinikken Studios – a complex consisting of five different studios located in Norway.
