“Neoclassical piece with absolute balance and airy piano melodies. Sophie Hutchings has the ability to capture our attention and affect the mind. Sometimes melancholic, sometimes mysterious "Light Over the Moor" definitely worth a listen.”

Sophie Hutchings is an Australian composer who flourishes in an outdoor lifestyle. You can experience this in her utterly jaw-dropping visuals, linked here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u8C0ABRhsGc , that embrace rugged nature, with director Mu Tunc. Or perhaps, the way Sophie conveys her feelings about her natural surroundings, both verbally and musically. Sophie’s epic, forward-thinking piano-centric music has been noticed by tastemakers like Radio 1’s Chillest Show and Jorja Smith’s stunning Tearjerker podcast and more. Light Over the Moor is the last single before the Love & Keep EP is revealed. It gently explores an unpredictable expanse of land. It may be interpreted as a vulnerable reflection of our current lifestyles and the constant, unexpected, adaptation to the world we’re living in.

"Light Over the Moor is a kind of symbolism which equates to the tentativeness that has been surrounding our lives, yet appreciating and preserving beauty. Moors can be beautiful yet unpredictable places with hidden perils. You can see the sun disappear behind a cloud, to then be followed by a sudden storm only to find a few moments later the sun is shining again ... It’s kind of how we’ve all been living from day to day the past year, perhaps not knowing, yet still set on seeing the sun peaking through again." - Sophie Hutchings

Instead of leaning towards the (arguably) traditional outlets of a teenager, Sophie grew up drawing on the mindful, meditative benefits of the ocean and the environment around her. It came naturally to Sophie to weave elements of this medicinal effect through her work. When Sophie wasn’t riding the waves, or absorbing the changing scenes of the horizon, Sophie was thrown into her Father’s vast jazz collection or her older brothers’ love of heavy indie rock.

Although creating, crafting and tweaking her music comes naturally, Sophie prefers to work internally, immersing herself in sound, rather than launching herself into the world of the stage. Her music has been described by The Guardian as holding “an intimate contemplative quality; sometimes melancholic, often with an exhilarating beauty.”

The upcoming Love & Keep EP will be dropping on the 28th of May. It’s a body of work that brings tranquillity into an uncertain space and looks at the value life and friendships can bring no matter what you are facing. Love & Keep exposes a profound self-discovery journey that analyses connection, embracing the unpredictable, sometimes volatile, nature of the world, and how sleep is fundamentally intertwined in everything we do. Recorded in the dead of night, this six-track EP looks at the sometimes expanse of sleep as a quiet, reflective beauty, through the unique lens of the insomniac, Sophie. The delivery holds a reminiscent feeling, a longing for the support of your loved ones, rather than another soulless, endless, scroll through the social universe.

“With incredible ease, -Open the Door- manage to reach all the closed doors of our souls. Its piano sounds can reach the most secret places of our wounded hearts, soothe and uplift them to the clouds. There in the sky, with the warm sun, where they belong.”

“-Open the Door- с невероятной лёгкостью удаётся достучаться до всех закрытых дверей наших душ. Звуки пиано проходят в самые тайные места наших раненых сердец, успокаивают их и возносят до облаков. Там, среди тёплых лучше солнца, им самое место.”

A piano composition about Opening the Door to knew possibilities and renewal. Recorded in 1994, released in 2021.

Chrystal Für – Memory Of A Fading Home (Spotify)

Categories: Audio, Neoclassical, The Latest|Tags: , , , |

“It was a dark, rainy night. The moon, like a cold light source, illuminates the noisy streets of the city. Empty road ringing silence and black-and-white picture of the field from the broken asphalt. The melodic composition -Memory Of A Fading Home- is full of stuffy and atmospheric colours for a particular mood.”

“Была тёмная, дождливая ночь. Луна, словно холодный источник света, освещает шумные улицы города. Пустые дороги звенящей тишины и чёрно-белая картина полей из разбитого асфальта. -Memory Of A Fading Home- это мелодичная композиция в душных и атмосферных тонах для особого настроения.”

-Nagamag.com

Chrystal Für’s upcoming album Elusion (out 5/28) is an elegy to the cycle of loss, acceptance, and the promise of restored life. Christopher Vibberts' reflective piano interweaves with droning waves of sound and intermittent shards of static that is equal parts nostalgia and hope.

The music operates in a mind-frame occupied by like-minded artists Colin Stetson, Christopher Willits, and Tangerine Dream, with slow-moving pulses, orchestral flourishes, and ambient ebbs and flows, including an unforgettable 11-minute collaboration with Belgium's Echo Collective.

To kick off May, Vibberts has released the new single “Memory of a Fading Home” -- a reflective, almost Max Richter-esque piece led by piano and subtle orchestral support. He’s finalizing a video that was shot in Guanajuato, Mexico too, where he was living when he first began recording as Chrystal Für.

“An ideal composition with a strong mood, where a bright light emanates from the detached piano keys. -We Meet Again- gently takes the listener's attention and and guides him to a place of calm and goodness.”

“Идеальная композиция, обладающая ярко выраженным настроением, где за отрешенными клавишами пиано источается яркий свет. -We Meet Again- бережно берёт внимание слушателей за руку и направляет его в места, где ему всегда было хорошо и спокойно. ”

Chafa – Abyss (Spotify)

Categories: Audio, Neoclassical, The Latest|Tags: , , |

“Melodic, momentary creation with spiritual and atmospheric colors, bursting with your soul. To describe the beauty of the composition -Abyss- are not enough any words. It is worth to dive into it but is so deeep that return will not be easy.”

“Мелодичное, сиюминутное творение в душевных и атмосферных тонах, распирающее вашу душу. Чтобы описать всю красоту композиции -Abyss-, не хватит никаких слов. Стоит погрузиться в неё и вернуться будет совсем не просто. ”

-Nagamag.com

Abyss is a piano & strings piece which I wrote after going through a very difficult phase in my life. It is a minimalistic, yet energetic piece of music which builds into a crescendo near the end of the song. The melodic swells and buildup are meant to capture the feeling of being lost - much like being stranded in an Abyss - and eventually finding your way back.

Like an ocean – Domenico Quaceci (Video)

“Magical compilation of classic piano melodies from the hands of Domenico Quaceci. Energy shifts and Very smooth transitions, which can pull like magnet and lead us through the vast ocean waves. A truly excellent piece of sound.”

-Nagamag.com

The song is a moment in which perhaps unconsciously we perceive something, a sensation, an intuition, but this escapes us and we are therefore unable to understand but aware of having something more. There is so much to discover and so little time.

Innocenzo Genna – The Leopard (Spotify)

Categories: Audio, Neoclassical, The Latest|Tags: , , , , |

“Initially ispired by the movie "Leopard", the artist created his homonymous piece. Original classical style with strictly organized pattern build up. Give some true meaning to your listening time by choosing this unique sound.”

-Nagamag.com

Artist shared few words about this song with us:

"This composition was inspired by a couple of notes I heard when watching the movie "the Leopard" of Luchino Visconti in February 2012. Because of this, I named the music with the temporary name "The Leopard" but, as often it happens, the temporary title became the final one. After some time, I watched the movie again, however I was not able to recognise the scene with the inspiring notes. It is not unusual to get inspiration from a few notes giving rise to a fully autonomous composition, with the result that the the final outcome appears completely different from the inspiring notes."
