(Spotify)

‘Nothing to Hide’ merges folk and contemporary pop worlds through its lyric-driven melodies and quiet intensity. The song is at once meditative, pensive, and catchy. Harmonies melt over melodic synth riffs, and the song delivers the message that we must cultivate the courage to shed the layers of who we think we should be in order to find the freedom to be who we truly are.

'Nothing to Hide' showcases a new contemporary sound and follows Of Candor's 2021 single 'Won't Go Away' and debut EP 'Heart in Many Places' (2016).

LYRICS:

Where do I go from here?

Every step forward is all clear

Think it’s a right, then it’s a left

You get near but disappear

Remember me, I’m here

Further down the line

I’m feeling, feeling trapped in time

There’s never enough to change the past

It’s always there in my mind

I’ve got nothing to hide

So, why don’t you strip all of the colours

That you hide behind

I can’t hide in mine

Every time I try I just

Come undone

Did you even know

That not everything that

Glitters is gold

Not everything going on

Shows

I’ve got nothing to hide

So why don’t you strip all of the colours

That you hide behind

I can’t hide in mine

Every time I try I just

Come undone

Strip all of the colours

Why don’t you strip all of the colours

I’ve got nothing to hide

So why don’t you strip all of the colours

That you hide behind

I can’t hide in mine

Every time I try I just

Come undone

Francis Aud – Used To
(Spotify)

“"Francis Aud" strikes with a groovy Nu-disco production, made for all broken hearts out there. Alive and kicking rhythm, addictive bassline and vocals that easily catch your attention. Another gem for your music collection.”

-Nagamag.com

“Used To” is a cheeky and groovy anthem for all of the broken hearts out there realizing that they’re the best their ex will ever have. Existing in the same sonic space as Dua Lipa’s “Don’t Start Now” and Amber Mark’s “Dance Alone” what “Used To” lacks in bravado, it more than makes up for in confident lyric delivery and swagger along with polished and slick production. With a catchy hook, infectious harmonies, and one of the grooviest basslines you’ve ever heard, “Used To” was made to dance to.

-Nagamag.com

About the composition of the song, Emil says:

Viktor and I wanted that chill kind of driving-at-sunset mood for the summer nights. The highlight for me, was the fact that the lyrical meaning could go hand in hand with the melodic built-up, so the feeling each listener gets increases as each drop hits. And the vocal being crazy catchy is just a big plus.

With Viktor Rosenberg as a co-writer on 'Back Before', the song is the perfect mix of chill vibes and late night feelings. Using references from Meduza, the song almost takes you on a golden hour carride with the windows rolled down and no set destination. Along with the driving beat that is too inviting to resist, it is indeed a dance-able song for this summer.
