WITH HER BOLD NEW BREAK-UP TUNE, EMILY CLAIR ASKS NEWLY-SINGLE WOMEN TO “KISS STRANGERS” AND LEAVE YESTERDAY’S HEARTBREAK BEHIND

Canadian country artist Emily Clair is celebrating the release of her new single, “Kiss Strangers” – now available on all digital streaming platforms. The first single to be released from her first full-length album, “Stealing Hearts”, “Kiss Strangers” will be released to Canadian country radio on March 18th.

“Kiss Strangers” was co-written by Emily Clair along with Bobbi Smith – of Canadian country trio The Heels – and seasoned songwriter David Borys (Wes Mack, Kadooh).

Speaking about “Kiss Strangers”, Emily Clair says, "In country music, women are often presented as dwelling on past relationships by drowning in a box of ice cream or a bottle of wine. I wanted to break away from that perception and offer a fresh take on the post-relationship mindset. With Bobbi and David, wrote a sassy and empowering break-up anthem for all the strong, single women out there who want to let go of yesterday's heartbreak. Starting over doesn’t have to be so sad. The thrill of indulging in new adventures can also be fun and liberating."

Produced by Emily Clair's frequent collaborator, CMAO-nominated Shawn Moore, “Kiss Strangers” builds on Emily's country music foundation, but adds a more upbeat, pop-influenced flair that matches the adventurous theme and energy of the song.

The release of “Kiss Strangers” follows the artist’s well-received debut live-off-the-floor EP “Stripped” in 2021, along with five consecutive Top 40 singles on CBC Country/Sirius XM in Canada – the most recent ones being her 2021 efforts, “Drive Me Home” and “Limousine”. Two of the other Top 40 singles (“The Sobering Truth” and “Me or the Whiskey”) also made the semi-finals of the Unsigned Only Music Competition.

For Emily Clair – who grew up in Ajax, Ontario but is now based in Greater Napanee – the bold artistry behind “Kiss Strangers” is poised to usher in a new chapter for her, as the first single from her debut album, “Stealing Hearts”, which is in the early recording stages. Known primarily for her heartfelt ballads, “Kiss Strangers” shows more diversity, and the rest of the album promises to showcase more artistic depth and creative risks from her as an artist. In the meantime, Emily Clair wants the women who connect with “Kiss Strangers” to feel understood and uplifted after listening to her new single.

She says, “You don't have to be that girl who is grieving over heartache. We’ve all been there before. If your ex can move on, you have the strength to move on, too."

“Kiss Strangers” is now available on all streaming platforms. It will be followed by a Canadian country radio release on March 18th and an official music video release in the weeks ahead.

“Pure enjoyment of musical drinks that Ryan Keen pours generously into invisible glasses, intoxicating us with his music and performance. A rhythmic, acoustic ballad that can dissolve any sadness and give an ocean of positive emotions.”

“Чистое наслаждение музыкальными напитками, которые так щедро разливает по невидимым бакалам -Ryan Keen-, опьяняя нас, простых слушателей, своей музыкой и исполнением. Красивая, ритмичная, акустическая баллада, способная растворить любую печаль и подарить океан положительных эмоций.”

-Nagamag.com

After having announced his anticipated comeback with “Every Time”, co-written by Ed Sheeran, followed up by the pop ballad “I Won’t Give Up”, Ryan Keen returns with the new single “Muscle Memory” - a break-up song, wishing the best for someone else but feeling like the hurt is etched in your subconscious.

Written in LA with his friend Corey Harper, Ryan recorded it in London. He comments: “We wrote the song after discussing how strange it is that you can have your life so intertwined with someone, and then it all suddenly disappear “I find it strange we’re strangers, we were so close not so long ago"

Singer-songwriter, surfer, and mental health advocate, South Devon-born Ryan Keen has written and toured with Ed Sheeran, Newton Faulkner, Leona Lewis, and Tom Odell, to name a few.

‘Room For Light’ - his debut album - ranked in singer-songwriter iTunes global charts, which led to a sell-out UK tour and two headline tours in Europe.

Ryan’s passion for mental health led him to work with I Am Whole and later lead Movember’s music and mental health projects. Ryan started a charity specifically focused on mental health within the music industry, which will be launching this year.

Ryan co-wrote Noah Kahan’s single “Animal”, as well as writing with Corey Harper, Jasmine Thompson, Jacob Banks, and Kolidescopes. Today he’s happy to be releasing new music for himself, “leading up to an album release in 2022.”, he adds.

“"The Gods of Rita" sounds so atmospheric that it feels like you are canoeing downstream a cold, mountainous river. A charming combination of acoustic Folk and Chamber Pop, with the singer's warm vocals.”

“Звучит настолько атмосферно, что создаётся ощущение, будто плывёшь на каноэ по течению вдоль холодной, горной реки. Очаровательное сочетание акустического фолка и chamber pop, а тёплый вокал исполнителя согревает и успокаивает.”

Today, British duo Ferris & Sylvester share their debut album ‘Superhuman’. Preceded by a string of evocative singles, including fan favourites and live staples, it sees the pair deliver their first full-length project.

Between much loved singles ‘Sickness’ and ‘Flying Visit’; the hymn-like “Darkness I Feel”, and today’s sumptuous focus track “This Is How My Voice Sounds,” which is released with an accompanying video recorded live in London; this musical union plays into symbiotic harmonies and life lessons as they wrestle with light and dark, and everything from existential crises to the vulnerabilities of allowing someone to get close to you.

They say; ‘This record is our story. It unravels all that we have come to know and understand about being human. The messy parts which we all share and experience, though often we keep them safe behind our armour. Heart ache, rage, jealousy, loneliness and a need to be something more. Also, the wonderful parts, the things that shape us. Self knowledge, friendship, love, understanding, sacrifice. Our hope is this: you will feel connected, inspired maybe even empowered by our writing and will go forward with a new sense of courage and self belief.’

Described as ‘rage-ridden brilliance, one of the best bands of the last five years’ (BBC Introducing), ‘a masterpiece of Brit Folk’ (Mojo Magazine) and an ‘alt Simon & Garfunkel’ (The Guardian), Ferris & Sylvester’s punchy genre-mashing sound lands in a truly unique space where they fuse blues, folk and rock’n’roll sensibilities. Prolific live performers, clocking in over a hundred shows a year, pre-pandemic. Alongside sold-out headline tours, Ferris & Sylvester have played festivals like Glastonbury, Isle Of Wight and Sziget and shared the stage with everyone from Robert Plant to George Ezra and Jade Bird.

The 12 track album was recorded at Bear Creek Studios, Seattle USA with Grammy nominated producer Ryan Hadlock (The Lumineers, The Strokes), and at Sawmill Studios, Cornwall UK with producer Michael Rendall (Pink Floyd, Youth). Superhuman takes the listener on a journey through the duo’s world where genres intertwine and emotions are stripped down to the core with their timeless songwriting as your trustworthy guide. With singles ‘Superhuman’, ‘Golden’, ‘Breadwinner’ and ‘Darkness I Feel’ already unleashed, the duo have continued to sell out tours on both sides of the Atlantic, land coveted spots on Spotify tastemaker playlists, earn a place on BBC Introducing’s ‘Best of 2021’ list and receive support from the likes of Sunday Brunch, The Independent and Clash Magazine.

Heading out to SXSW for their first US shows since 2019 in a couple of days, there are more live shows and appearances set to be announced soon. Written over the span of two years across hotels rooms, splitter vans and every nook and cranny of their globetrotting existence, Superhuman’ was brought to life as they escaped to the countryside, embraced the charm of Cottagecore and discovered a life away from touring, where writing and recording was sandwiched between hiking, knitting and growing their own food. As they share the album with the world, they’re set to resume life on the road.

Jackson Emmer – Can’t Take It With You

“We strive to make wealth, get everything that we need -and many more- for a better life, but what's left in the end? Jackson Emmer states the truth in his new Folk song and communicates his wise message in a direct and effective way. Just lay back and concentrate in this acoustic sound.”

-Nagamag.com

Artist said about this song:

"I wrote this song with folk legend, Tom Paxton via Zoom. Tom really liked our initial approach to the song, which was based around a Travis-Picking groove. I liked that too, but wanted to try something different for the studio version. Honky Tronica sounded about right."

Banditos – Here Tonight

Categories: Audio, Rock, The Latest|Tags: , |

“An incredible song that reveals his sincerity, the variety of his emotions and the brilliant talent of "Banditos". Live instrumental sound, happy and very emotional vocals and a huge bouquet of impressions. A success without a doubt!”

“Невероятная песня, которая дарит свою искренность, разнообразие чувств и глубину таланта группы -Banditos-. Живая, инструментальная музыка, жизнерадостный и очень эмоциональный вокал и огромный букет впечатлений. Хит? Без сомнений!”

-Nagamag.com

We’re entering a room full of tropes & that’s why we land on one for the refrain. A callused woman scorned snaps contempt. A morose picture of a man left alone after his family has been estranged. What’s the commonality? A familiar lyric grounding them to some sort of hope, and, for a moment, they see it in each other. The smallest glint of happiness has the possibility to move you however far you want to take it. It’s one about allowing ourselves to be moved.

The anti-genre indie pranksters SeepeopleS have been a band for 22 years. The band, which is the brainchild of bandleader/songwriter/producer Will Bradford, has released 5 full length albums and 2 EPs on their own imprint, RascalZRecordZ. It would be an accurate statement to say that there isn’t a single band on the planet that covers as much ground musically, or traverses through as many musical universes as SeepeopleS does. Musicians have long since taken notice and members of Morphine, Spearhead, Dave Matthews Band (Tim Reynolds), and even members of Parliament/Funkadelic are featured on previous albums. All seven records were co-produced by Will Holland (Pixies, New Pornographers, Dead Can Dance) The band has toured ceaselessly, playing over 1500 shows in 46 states during their long career. Most importantly, SeepeopleS features songwriting that is the definition of timelessness and lyrically have been busy writing the most important musical anthems of our generation. It may be long after our lifetimes before this band gets their due, but they certainly will. Nothing this good can remain hidden forever.

As far as “hype” goes, the band was recently nominated for “Best Live Act” for the 2016 New England Music Awards. Other nominations include “Best New Artist” (Relix Magazine Awards 2007).The band has shared the stage and toured with such acts as Death Cab for Cutie, Franz Ferdinand, Cracker, De La Soul, The Pharcyde, Ben Harper, Kula Shaker, Presidents of the United States and have even had Jon Fishman (Phish) join the band for a SeepeopleS set during a Bernie Sanders rally. They have been featured in Paste Magazine, Datyrotter, Pop Matters, Magnet, Exclaim, High Times, Relix. DRUM Magazine, Blue Walrus and Daytrotter, to name a short few. Their music has been used on Judging Amy (TNT), The Gates (ABC), and in feature films such as ‘Canvasman,’ and ‘Wheels Over Paradise,’ as well as on the Discovery Channel and NASCAR broadcasts. They provided most of the music for the Headcount (voting registration) documentary ‘Call To Action’ and have played CMJ, SXSW, as well as a major music festivals’ Wakarusa, Trinumeral, Bear Creek, Smilefest and Allgood Music Festivals. In 2017 SeepeopleS released the “New American Dream” music video animated by Pete List (Celebrity Death Match/MTV, Marilyn Manson). The video would end up being nominated for “Best Video” for the Independent Music Awards in 2018, and won a Pixie award for the animator for “Best Short Video,” in the same year. Also in 2018, unfortunately, Facebook and Instagram banned the video and removed the video from their platforms, sealing the band’s place forever as a true underground cult favorite and confirming their role as artistic provacateurs. Currently SeepeopleS is back in the studio finishing their eighth studio release entitled Field Guide For Survival In This Dying World (RascalZRecordZ 2021).
