"I wrote this song on a true adrenalin rush during a songwriting camp session at Hilversum’s Wisseloord studio (Netherlands). I was into that exhilarating energy that songwriting camps can provoke. The song had to be finished at 7 pm… and the day had started at 9am.
We were three persons in a studio in front of a blank page, starting the session. I had never met the two other composers with which I was supposed to spend the day. I knew Rico was a great R&B singer, I knew he could perform wonderful vibes. In fact, me the french girl, I was under pressure, I was challenged, so I counted on my own adrenalin to give me the words… that is why this song IS about adrenalin. "
"J’ai écrit cette chanson sur une véritable montée d’adrénaline lors d'une journée de création au Wisseloord studio à Hilversum (Pays-Bas). J’étais dans l’énergie grisante du song writingcamp, la chanson devait être terminée à 19h… la journée avait commencé à 9h.
Nous étions 3 dans un studio avec la page blanche du début de séance. Je n’avais jamais rencontré les deux compositeurs avec qui je devais passer la journée. Je savais de Rico qu’il était un superbe chanteur, plutôt R&B, les vibes bien assumées et parfaitement exécutées. En fait, moi la frenchy, j’ai eu la pression, ça m’a boosté, j’ai donc compté sur ma propre adrénaline pour me donner les mots… et c’est d’adrénaline que j’ai voulu parler. »"
