Goya – Yesterday (Spotify)

“Yes, we found a miracle in the face of -Yesterday-. The composition that completely justifies its name. Empty showcases in the pale night light, barely noticeable drop of rain and a rainbow of sound effects mixed with a simple, but very catchy melody.”

“Да, это чудо в лице композиции -Yesterday/Midnight Alley- полностью оправдывает своё название. Бледный свет догорающих в ночи витрин, едва ощутимые капли дождя и радуга из звуковых эффектов наложенными на простую, но очень запоминающуюся мелодию.”

-Nagamag.com

Canadian country artist Lisa Nicole is pleased to release her newest single, “Count On You”, which is new on all digital platforms and will go to Canadian country radio on April 19th.

Written and recorded prior to the pandemic, the song’s modern retro-pop country canvas is an inviting backdrop for an honest and heartfelt lyrical journey that is especially timely and meaningful in present times.

Lisa Nicole says, “This song was about how the support of one person – whether it’s a partner, a family member or a trusted friend – can light up the room and pull you through when everything else seems to be going wrong.”

As the third single to be released from her 2021 fall album, Where the Wild Hearts Beat, “Count On You” was originally written by Lisa Nicole and star songwriter Dave Pahanish in Nashville, where she lived in the spring and summer of 2018 after a once-in-a-lifetime duet with Keith Urban at a Music City pop-up concert inspired her to move there.

Upon returning to the Canadian Kootenays, the artist integrated new ideas from her longtime guitar player Jason Thomas along with her producer – CCMA award-winning Jeff Johnson – to further enhance and complete the finished product.

For the artist – who grew up in Castlegar, British Columbia and now lives in nearby Trail – the memories of living in Nashville, writing with the likes of Pahanish, and recording with Johnson back in British Columbia have added fuel to her artistic spirit and only increased her desire to leave a lasting impact through songs with meaningful purpose mixed with a current sound.

“Count On You” offers hope through connection and comfort but also shows the power of how we can each make a difference for anyone close to us.

“We all want someone to count on, but we can also be that someone to count on,” says Lisa Nicole.

“Count On You” is now available on all digital platforms. It goes to Canadian country radio on April 19th.

flyckt – One Day (Video)

Categories: Pop, The Latest, Video|Tags: , , |

“How much magic can be hidden in just one song? One day you’ll find out! Listen to “Flyckt” fresh piece of true art. His advanced vocal skills give a personal character to this Commercial sound. For an even better experience don’t forget to watch the video clip too.”

-Nagamag.com

flyckt is an utterly modern artist from Sweden that blends pop melodies with big, sentimental and euphoric productions.

flyckt says “One Day and the upcoming EP is a step in a different direction. My new music sounds happier and more hopeful in a way. At least sonically. I guess I´m feeling better about myself?”

His new video, One Day, represents a humorous time of longing for hours, days and weeks to pass. It’s a knowing that things will get better, you just have to be patient. flyckt states that “One day we will make it right. One day everything will be fine. One day she will love you. One day you will love her. One day is a song about that one day.”

flyckt is an artist that grew up surrounded by his family’s equally creative journeys. His father, a world-renowned, Grammy awarded mixing engineer, threw flyckt into the studio at a young age and encouraged risk and experimentation. Due to this early musical nurture, flyckt has gone to thrive in multiple projects in the industry. flyckt was a member of the band Urban Cone that’s recognised for hits like Old School and Urban Photograph. He also flexes his production skills in the dynamic musical trio named Moodshift, that’s grown alongside fellow members Lucas Nord and Oliver Nelson. It marks another successful project for flyckt that’s garnered millions of streams on Spotify alone with singles Chemistry and What About My Love.

“In the One Day video, we aimed to capture the feeling of making time pass while waiting for the day when everything will be different. There is desperation and boredom but also hope for a change! The imagery relates to the track but also to the times we all are going through now. The obvious darkness in the not self-selected isolation turns humorous when emphasized on camera, right?” – FLYCKT

“"Pretty Pink" unfolds her artistry for one more time, in this excellent track. The German producer and dj captivates your attention and keeps you awake and mentally active with the secret power of Melodic Techno.”

-Nagamag.com

“Awake” might be the most surprising release of Pretty Pink since her debute on Found Frequencies. Introducing darker sounds, the record starts off with an obscure synth that keeps on evolving until the last seconds of the track. Definitely a highlight of Lost Frequencies’ set for the Tomorrowland New Year’s Eve Livestream, “Awake” is one not to miss!

Risen from the deep & dark woods of the Harz in Germany, Pretty Pink made her way through the steaming and raging international club zone to manifest her belief into the most intimate basement raves and the biggest festival stages – ultimately settling into an exclusive group of DJs that have the skill to work both levels of the scene. Her unique performances cultivated a great following across Europe and continue to broaden the horizons of dance music. Pretty Pink never shies away from a challenge as she continues to grow and evolve in her career and in her sound.

Through a regular stream of high quality mixes in her radio show ‘DEEP WOODS’ she has begun to turn heads in underground circles. Within the span of two years, it landed on 30 leading radio slots worldwide and reached 1 million streams via her socials. ‘DEEP WOODS’ consists of DEEP SENSATION and KLING KLANG, Pretty Pink’s self-branded residency and well known event series that have attracted over 8,000 festival guests. After playing alongside respectable tastemakers at a myriad of revered venues in her homeland – Nature One, Sonne Mond Sterne, Airbeat One, New Horizon, World Club Dome and more – her loyal fanbase and bookings began to skyrocket. Pretty Pink has garnered a devoted fan base across the globe through her diverse productions, radioshow and stirring live shows, which launch listeners on an unforgettable musical journey. On stage she is known for her galvanizing stage performances as she continues to impress crowds with her dynamic natural ease, serenity and expertise.

Shifting her focus toward production, Pretty Pink has amply proved her serious talent in the studio as well as behind the decks. Whilst Pretty Pinks DJ sets are very energetic, she also manifests her wandering soul on the producer side. Pretty’s own music has provided her with the chance to reveal a kinetic combination of dark, pulsating house and tech-house, driven beats, and natural energetic melodic compositions paired often with her own vocals. Pretty Pink had her recording debut in 2013 with an unforgettable edit of Daft Punk’s ‘Get Lucky’, which demanded the attention of the scene with massive national and international support. With her clearly uncanny ability to create instantly astounding records she extended with ‘GUNFIRE’ her follow-up EP on Suara, which climbed to #2 on Beatport Deep House Chart of 2016. Pretty Pink possess a long list of high conceptual tracks like RUN, MY KICK, FLURAMA, TRICK, CHANGE on captivating sounding labels like Suara, Armada Deep, Sony, Warner, and Universal. Forming tracks to uncommercial club anthems was her mission, which allowed her unique signature sound to make remixes for Armin van Buuren, Lost Frequencies and also for 90’s tastemakers. Gracing the pages of notable electronic publications such as DJ Mag Mexico, EARMILK, Magnetic Magazine and more, Pretty Pink is quickly becoming one to watch on the fronts of the electronic scene.

Things aren’t slowing down anytime soon as Pretty Pink’s most recent single ‘PURE’ topped the Beatport charts for over six weeks at #3 on Progressive House. The single has even caught the ear of uber tastemakers such as CamelPhat, Lane 8, Josh Butler, Monkey Safari and more who have all featured the single in their sets. On a hunt to envelop and solidify her sound, she jump-started her own record label, Wanderlust Music.

For now, with her upcoming releases, studio sessions, ongoing radio show to residencial performances, record label and a packed tour diary, Pretty’s showing signs of becoming a unique individual artist. Pretty Pink blends a tasteful sound with a twist of madness that elevates the crowd to new heights. With years of experience under her belt, the multi-talented workaholic has created a brand built to last. She will stop at nothing to continue cultivating and developing her sound. Time may pass and trends will fade, but the Pretty Pink’s sound will never cease to impress. Her massive accomplishments only mark the beginning of her future conquests.

Peter Aries Interview on Nagamag

Categories: Electronica Features, Electronica Interviews, Features, Interviews, The Latest|Tags: , , , , , |

Nagamag:
What are the genres that describe better your music style?

Peter Aries:
I'm quite "genre-fluid", but I mostly identify myself with electronic genres such as synthwave and trance, which is why I chose "This is the 80s" as my signature track. I do however mix in other genres, and have been incorporating quite a bit of classical themes in some of my tracks. Which for me made it feel quite natural to try out a classical only themed release. Thus "Stories" came to be.

Nagamag:
Few words about your musical background and career?

Peter Aries:
I've been playing the piano since I was 10 and I started making music on the family's first computer when I was 14 (I used Fasttracker back then). My first official (or known rather) release was in 2006, an EP called "Finally" which was only released on CD. Since then I've released over 100 tracks in various genres and styles. I've mostly worked by myself, but I have also made some collaborations with artists such as MarsTv and Social Ambitions. My most streamed track of all times is currently "When All Things End", a collaboration I did with the very talented vocalist and artist Karin My. She has recently released a new album, so definitely go check it out.
Unfortunately the music doesn't pay the bills yet, so I work as a product manager as my daily job. I have great colleagues and it's quite a challenging job. I still feel like I learn new things every day. However, if money was not an issue, if I'd have to choose occupation between music creation and product management, music would win every day of the week. :)

Nagamag:
Do you remember your first connection of love to music that was the right impact to be a music artist now?

Peter Aries:
For sure. It was at my day care, when I was 4 or 5 years old. Someone played Super Mario Bros 1 on Nintendo while at the same time someone else played something on a keyboard in the room. I thought the sounds I heard were so incredibly cool that it sparked something within me. So there and then I knew I just had to play the synth when I got old enough. So it's my one true call in life you could say.

Nagamag:
Most artists have a favorite song from a different music genre than the one they are producing music for... Which is yours?

Peter Aries:
Vangelis "Tears in Rain"

Nagamag:
Of Course Nagamag would love to listen also which track from a similar artist you admire?

Peter Aries:
Pylot "The Return"

Aidan & the Wild – It’s Alright (Video)

Categories: Rock, The Latest, Video|Tags: , , , |

“This track took us back to the heady days of Laurel Canyon. A gentle, tuneful blend of southern rock, folk & country that would not have been out of place alongside the greats that graced the stage of the Troubadour in West Hollywood. A nostalgic journey back to the good old days!”

-Nagamag.com

It’s Alright is a folky guitar-explosion filled with jumpy melodies, multi-layered soundscapes and an ear-catching hook. The song was inspired by the phenomenon of the poppy flower, which blooms particularly well after the ground has recently been disturbed. Aidan & the Wild subtly draws the analogy to his increasingly difficulty coping with society’s ignorant attitude towards the current climate crisis. By talking about the heavy topic in a light-hearted way he hopes to keep the conversation going and perhaps even inspire some change, however small that may be.

https://www.instagram.com/aidanandthewild/

Being fascinated by the guitar at the early age of eight Aidan & the Wild, the moniker by which Eindhoven based musician Diederik van den Brandt tells his musical tale, holds a deep passion for the instrument that has only been growing ever since. While his folky open-tuning guitar style can be linked to influences such as Ben Howard and the Tallest Man On Earth the singer-songwriter looks towards the direction of Nashville just as often. Packed with an intrinsically unconventional play style and disarmingly honest voice his songs result in a timeless blend of folk and americana that has a unique freshness to it.

Over the years his love for the guitar branched out to a wider range of instruments such as the pedal steel guitar, banjo and mandolin, which he can be found playing as a side man for various other acts almost as often as at the front of the stage. This skill reflects back to his work as a producer for his own records, on which he arranges and plays the better part of the instruments.

With over 450 shows in the past the 25 year old musician has ran a fair share of millage. Some highlights include airplay on NPO Radio 2 & 5 and 3FM, shows at the Naked Song Festival and Ilse deLange’s Tuckerville and various support shows for artists amongst whom Hiss Golden Messenger and Dan Owen.
