Can't Say (Word Like That) is a song describing the fear of telling someone you love them for the first time. It focuses on unrequited or one-sided love, a universal and frequent subject in pop culture. The song considers the anxiety of potential rejection from expressing these true feelings.

It was selected as a top 10 finalist for the 2020 NSAI Song Contest presented by CMT and Martin Guitars. My last single "Paradise" was featured on multiple playlists and blogs such as Reignland Mag., Popmuzik, Talk About Pop Music, etc. and was shared across social platforms by influencers like Juliana Hale, and Grow with Jo. I have a release show on 2/28 in Nashville and a live performance booked on the TV show, Today In Nashville.

New pop artist, Drew Schueler is a master at creating unique yet familiar songs full of vibrant vocals and melodies, electro-pop synth textures, electric guitar and programmed beats, similar to Lauv, Justin Bieber, and LANY.

Drew cut his teeth in Cincinnati and Nashville fronting and producing alternative pop bands but is now breaking into the pop mold. He not only wrote his entire debut EP (New Perspective), but also played all the instruments, produced and mixed the entire project himself.

“I have always been fascinated by all aspects of creating music,” Drew said. “As with any kind of art, every tiny detail matters and I love knowing everything that goes into my music.”

Along with his growing artist career, Schueler is a thriving songwriter, instrumentalist and producer, working out of his studio in Nashville.

DYNAH, a new name, a new pop costume tailored especially for the singer-musician Melody LINHART. Two syllables taken from her actual name in order to make her metamorphosis as smooth as possible and let the magic begin! With these five letters, she becomes a freer version of herself.

Originally from an acoustic background where she played jazz, folk and soul music, Melody Linhart is currently undergoing a new beginning, a blank page – « PAGE BLANCHE » is the title of her first single – and starting a new musical chapter, in French this time, propelled by sometimes minimalist electro pop music. Her style lies at the meeting-point between Clara Luciani and James Blake.

Throughout her collaborations, from Paris to London, through Spain and the Netherlands, Dynah has been adopting a new, more efficient, more strait forward, way of writing. She seeks simplicity: “Songs have to come self-evidently.” Melody Linhart has been refining her touch. Her trademarks are: describing a scene in a song as precisely as if it were a movie, composing as if she were weaving an outfit for a character, including unexpected words in her lyrics such as “chrysalis”, or “koala”, hidden poetry.

In this new playground, Dynah is exhilarated and liberating herself: “Pop music is a good excuse to talk about love and sensuality.” Here, a few notes of synth reveal a woman feeling blue. There, desire springs out through programmed beats. Weaknesses, dreams, pleasure, motherhood, Dynah explores pop as she does her life, confronting her lyrics to electronic sounds.

Added to this vindicated sensitivity, are the fantastic meetings with French and international producers such as: Nicolas Gueguen, Martin Chourrout, Guillaume Martial or Lionnel Buzac, all of whom collaborated to this first EP: DYNAH (Finalistes/Musigamy).

Electro music gives her impulse, the stage will give her wings.

Nashville native, Hank Compton, goes for the gut with his rich storytelling, creating music that dives beyond the surface level exposing his greatest highs and lows. Compton’s music blends his influences of classic rock and 80’s pop devising a modern sound with a nostalgic feel. At 20, he has toured and opened for country legend Loretta Lynn, played at historic venues such as the Troubadour in Los Angeles and the Ryman in Nashville and signed with Warner Chappell Music in March of 2019. His sound is versatile and comes from many different influences. After releasing “Judge Me”, “Call It What It Is” and “Can’t Be Loved” he is back with the fourth and final track off of his new EP via “Loser”. Icelandic duo HUGAR release a new single & music video “A New Renaissance” from their upcoming sophomore album on Sony Music Masterworks – The Vasulka Effect: Music for the Motion Picture set for release October 2nd. The new track is the emotional album opener, with a piano melody that falls like wistful tears on a lonesome vista of electronic chords.

The music video comes from their recent livestream from the Nordic House Session Live in Reykjavík and was directed by the duo themselves. In the video they are backlit by mesmerizing projections inspired by the video-art from The Vasulka Effect film, while director of photography -Blair Alexander Massie- captures the mood with hypnotically intimate camera work.

What are the genres that describe better your music style?

Sigesmundsen:
I love classical music and film scores. they are relaxing and have many harmonics and feelings. thats why i love to create chillout and ambient music. i love rhytmic music aswell, and are very inspired by both genres.

Nagamag:
Few words about your musical background and career?

Sigesmundsen:
started out on flute as a child, playing classical music (i hated it at first) then i moved on to organ and piano, for a few years. got my first guitar at 12, and started to play in groups in music school. did the whole rock thing, and learned to play bass and drums amongst other instruments. around 1995 i started to listen more and more to electronical music, and has never left. released at cosmicleaf a few years back, an album with an electronic band called kill the geek, with a good friend Gitte thusgaard hansen. cosmicleaf is my main label as the artist Sigesmundsen, and have released there in a few years now.

Nagamag:
Do you remember your first connection of love to music that was the right impact to be a music artist now?

Sigesmundsen:
music is the soundtrack of our lives, and remembered the first Star wars movie as a young boy. I absolutly love that theme. remembering i wanted to play that, or at least sing the theme :D

Most artists have a favorite song from a different music genre than the one they are producing music for... Which is yours?
