“We fell in love with this full of life track. Liked the big room build ups and a voice to match the quality of the build. ”

2 minutes and 38 seconds of pure synth force – that’s what the power track No More promises. From beat one, the song describes the struggle with oneself and one’s own mind games, only to call out to the world with powerful hits in the chorus: «I don’t wanna fight this war no more. Everyday I try to let it go. I know that it’s all just in my head. So, I don’t wanna fight this war no more.» Questioning yourself, rethinking, not feeling like you belong. «So damn hard for me to be okay.» The complexity of the subject matter and its musical background was a great challenge for the band, which is why the three can look back on the process with all the more pride today.

“"Saxongroove" new delivery in Deep house style. The old masters always know how to keep us active and ...awake! The track has a strong kick and a huge variety of sound FX, pretty enough to start the dance. Can you hear it?”

Merunisa Interview on Nagamag

.

Nagamag:
Which are the genres that describe your music style better?

Merunisa:
Alternative R&B, R&B, Pop, Indie

Nagamag:
Few words about your musical background and career?

Merunisa:
North West singer/songwriter Merunisa, takes inspiration from the likes of Kehlani, Abel (The Weeknd) and Jhene Aiko creating her own unique sound and adding twists to the alternative R&B genre. Better described as a cross genre artist, Merunisa has demonstrated her ability to own sounds outside of her 'range' like on drill infused track, 'JET' in contrast to her meloncholic vibes on 'Broken & Bruised'. Currently, performing unreleased tracks live, Merunisa is constantly appearing across the UK underground scene. Working on new music at every opportunity she gets, the singer/songwriter is patiently waiting for the right time to release the rest of her discography for the world to hear.

Nagamag:
Do you remember your first connection of love to music that was the right impact to be a music artist now?

Merunisa:
My first connection of love to music would definitely be my love for The Lion King soundtrack. When I was a child I was obsessed with the theatric's of the vocals each character had and how much feeling they had in their voice. My love for music has grown since then as I've ventured into other avenues as I've searched for what my sound is, genres like Alternative R&B and R&B/Soul

Nagamag:
Many artists listen to genres that they are not producing music for. Which track is your favorite that is NOT similar to yours?

Merunisa:
Rema "Iron Man"

Nagamag:
Of Course Nagamag would love to listen also which is the track from a similar artist you admire?

Merunisa:
Kali Claire "Bad Habits"

Marza Panther – Falln Angel (Spotify)

“Marza Panther strikes with her unreal synth patterns, offering a track full of mystery. Discover a sound with plenty of electronic effects and hypnotizing vocals... get ready to explore a hidden wild beauty.”

-Nagamag.com

Marza Panther is a cellist, composer and songwriter in Los Angeles. Her music is tethered to the natural world, yet also draws from the dark synthetic sounds found in a mechanical heart. She performs the daily ritual of trying to make something beautiful out of the sorrow-void.

“The rhythm in "Not A Doctor" is unlikely to keep you from the desire to make a few energetic movements ahead. You immediately feel in your breast all the power of sound, fall in love with the mix quality and amazed by its variety of sound elements and the vocal approach!”

“Ритм этого трека вряд ли удержит вас от желания сделать несколько энергичных движений головой. Сразу чувствуешь в груди всю монолитность звучания, влюбляешься в качество сведения и поражаешься разнообразием звуковых решений и подходу к семплированию вокала!”

This is the second release for us (we have just signed another 6 tracks to three different labels, including some quite exciting ones) and the first on our own new label. We plan to release one new release on our own label every 6-8 weeks. The next is scheduled for release in November. Our production ethos is simple - combine the best of old and new technology to make music that is inspired by - but not a copy of - classic late 80s and early 90s house music. To do this we combine genuine 12-bit samplers (modern and original 80s models) and analog synths with modern production and mixing tools (Live and Pro-Tools), topped off with some not-so-secret 90s production weapons, like our beloved 90s Alesis 3630 compressor, the machine that gave Alan Braxe and Daft Punk that distinctive pump.

“Like an avalanche that descends from the snow-covered mountains, Thomas Hewitt Jones music slowly and gradually affects the listener with its emotionality. Cinematic composition, packed with full neoclassic energy.”

“Словно лавина спускается с заснеженных гор, музыка -Thomas Hewitt Jones- медленно, постепенно и неторопливо поглощает своего слушателя своей эмоциональностью. Кинематографическая композиция, чья энергетика впитала в себя всё самое лучшее из жанра неоклассика.”
