Neo & Neo – Light Me Up Again (Video)

Categories: Rock, The Latest, Video|Tags: , , , |

“We all have good memories from past years and sometimes bring them back in mind to smile again. This is the concept in “Light Me Up Again”; A fresh Indie Folk single with characteristic feathery vocals and listener-friendly approach.”

-Nagamag.com

In retrospect, the song describes the year 2015. A perfect year, in which the protagonist experienced a series of events that can only be understood as pure happiness and love. However, from the present perspective, when the song came to life the protagonist finds himself in a more troubled period of time, and therefore wants to be lit up by the year 2015 again.

Light Me Up Again was written by Dominik Robin and Raphael Schneider, long-term collaborators and friends that have been touring with Neo & Neo from 2016 to 2018 in Germany, Switzerland, Lebanon and Russia. The song was recorded and produced by Stefan Huber in Zürich.

Light Me Up Again is also the title of the upcoming LP, which will be released on March 11th 2022.

“Good friends can be like brothers. They're always there to give their support without asking them. "Daniel Schamroth" is here to remind us this truth. Sings with his guitar, bringing hope and positive thoughts in a quite acceptable way.”

British, Devon born singer-songwriter Daniel Schamroth, releases his new EP ‘Friends & Brothers’.

The stripped back, five-track acoustic project was released Friday (February 4), via So, Let’s Talk. The recording of four tracks took place at Propagation House in Cornwall, with producer James Bragg, whose credits include Sports Team and Jack Steadman, and another track was recorded with Danny Hembrow, in his living room.

Described as "simply incredible" by BBC Introducing South West, Schamroth cites influences such as Ryan Adams and The Beatles, behind his folk infused lo-if indie style.

Schamroth, who is also lead singer of Indie band The Loft Club, has previously supported Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds, and shared the stage with the likes of The Charlatans, and Ben Ottewell from Gomez. His catalogue with The Loft Club, has been streamed over one million times on Spotify alone, and includes co-writes and collaborations with Grammy Award-winning folk singer Lisa Loeb, and two-time Grammy Award winner Pras Michel of the Fugees. The bands single “Flicker,” last year reached Billboard’s Adult Alternative Airplay chart in the US.

The artwork for ‘Friends & Brothers’ was both shot and designed by Alice Schamroth, and taken at Frankfurt's new hotel, Lindley Lindenberg.

The Waymores – Even When (Spotify)

Categories: Audio, Rock, The Latest|Tags: , , , , , |

“We all have loved ones and cannot imagine ourselves without them, but is this true for every single person? "The Waymores" may have the answer in their new song. Our favourite Country sound with roaring guitars and catchy lyrics, full of supportive spirit.”

-Nagamag.com

“Even When” reflects upon losses: People and situations that you thought you couldn’t live without. As time passes maybe you realize you were wrong and other times maybe you weren’t. Some people really aren’t worth missing but no matter how many times you tell yourself that, it still stings when they go.

When we started writing “Even When,” we weren’t in this place of anguish over lost loves but more of a spiteful spot taking the approach of “I don’t need anybody” but also “don’t you miss me?” The lyrics came rather quickly but the dynamics were born later, in the studio. In the breakdown, Willie asked our steel player to pick the steel like a banjo and it wound up being one of our favorite little album secrets.

“Travels along the American countryside where the skies shine bright with new opportunities and old roots. Its poetic energy sweeps us away into a gentler time where guitars set the mood. ”

-Nagamag.com

“Gaslighted,” infuses a new dimension to their storytelling by adding Banjii’s children, Edwin and William. The song follows the journey of Edwin’s toy llama across the landscapes of Georgia. Edwin and his llama, accompanied by Banjii and Mayuri and big brother William are on a mission to find his llama a new home.

Banjii is a multi-instrumentalist and singer-songwriter from the mountains of Georgia, with four successful albums in his portfolio (published as Jason Kenney). Mayuri is an Indian classical dancer and a business strategy expert with nearly a decade of experience advising Fortune 500 companies. They met during the pandemic in 2019 and naturally allowed their relationship to progress over time, taking shape through their passion for songwriting. They also founded the independent record label and production company Kahani Records. Banjii and Mayuri are taking off quickly in the music industry, receiving a tremendous outpour of support from independent film and music festivals worldwide. In just the first 45 days of “Copper Lines” release, they were given prestigious awards at Tracks Music Award, Jaipur International Film Festival, India, and Hong Kong World. International Music Video Underground awarded them “The Best Band.” They were also a finalist at Oniros Film New York and Cannes World.

Morning Crush – Constant Light (Spotify)

“How can we shine with all this constant light? The words are strong on this gently flowing track with a great momentum. Its simple yet deep and musically rich with quality production highlighting the guitars. ”

-Nagamag.com

Artist said about this song:

"This is about damaging the modern world is. With endless content, I half felt like i was drowning in a sea of mediocrity and banality, and half felt like I my work was completely insignificant in comparison to the sea of beautiful work relentlessly uploaded to streaming platforms. I felt like the great critically acclaimed counter cultural pieces of art I love, are now just more content for the tech giants, they were just another tool to keep anyone glued to their devices at all costs. Authenticity felt impossible. Everything was for sale at an unprecedented scale. I began feeling grateful for my depression and my demons, they felt like the only real thing happening in my life, the only thing that was mine."
