“Gaslighted,” infuses a new dimension to their storytelling by adding Banjii’s children, Edwin and William. The song follows the journey of Edwin’s toy llama across the landscapes of Georgia. Edwin and his llama, accompanied by Banjii and Mayuri and big brother William are on a mission to find his llama a new home.

Banjii is a multi-instrumentalist and singer-songwriter from the mountains of Georgia, with four successful albums in his portfolio (published as Jason Kenney). Mayuri is an Indian classical dancer and a business strategy expert with nearly a decade of experience advising Fortune 500 companies. They met during the pandemic in 2019 and naturally allowed their relationship to progress over time, taking shape through their passion for songwriting. They also founded the independent record label and production company Kahani Records. Banjii and Mayuri are taking off quickly in the music industry, receiving a tremendous outpour of support from independent film and music festivals worldwide. In just the first 45 days of “Copper Lines” release, they were given prestigious awards at Tracks Music Award, Jaipur International Film Festival, India, and Hong Kong World. International Music Video Underground awarded them “The Best Band.” They were also a finalist at Oniros Film New York and Cannes World.

“How can we shine with all this constant light? The words are strong on this gently flowing track with a great momentum. Its simple yet deep and musically rich with quality production highlighting the guitars. ”

Artist said about this song:

"This is about damaging the modern world is. With endless content, I half felt like i was drowning in a sea of mediocrity and banality, and half felt like I my work was completely insignificant in comparison to the sea of beautiful work relentlessly uploaded to streaming platforms. I felt like the great critically acclaimed counter cultural pieces of art I love, are now just more content for the tech giants, they were just another tool to keep anyone glued to their devices at all costs. Authenticity felt impossible. Everything was for sale at an unprecedented scale. I began feeling grateful for my depression and my demons, they felt like the only real thing happening in my life, the only thing that was mine."

Acclaimed songwriter, Dana Cooper has returned with the second single from his upcoming album, I Can Face The Truth, which will be unleashed on the world on February 18th of this year. “Bluebird”, a song written with Tom Kimmel, was released Friday January 14th on all streaming platforms. Cooper’s smooth vocal delivery lays atop a joyful and rocking bed of sound provided by the top notch band that Dana and co-producer Dave Coleman assembled for the album sessions. Cooper wanted the combination “to convey a wry sense of hope for us humans.” Kimmel offers these words about the track, “I think sometimes a song can say in a few words what would take a volume to write. It seems like this one bubbled up from a deep well and wide perspective on a world that can be pretty tough on a tender heart and a bright spirit.” As always Cooper is right at home in conveying these feelings to the listener in an amazingly uplifting way. So put your dancing shoes on and get ready to groove your way through the cold of the winter and the clouds that seem to insist on hovering over the world.

Dennis J Leise – I Only Do It Cause I Have To (Video)

Categories: Rock, The Latest, Video|Tags: , , , |

“Melancholic, but with a sense of humour song that reveals how our life sometimes turns into a routine of monotonous and repetitive actions. Light music and nice voice from -Dennis j Leise- who will not leave you indifferent.”

“Меланхоличная, немного грустная, но с изрядной долей юмора песня, которая повествует о том, как порой наша жизнь превращается в рутину однообразных и повторяющихся действий. Лёгкая музыка и приятный голос -Dennis J Leise-, которые не оставят вас равнодушными.”

-Nagamag.com

Dennis J. Leise doesn’t mince words. When you’re listening to his tightly-written throwback country-folk songs, you’ll know exactly where he stands — he makes sure of that. His language is straightforward, his couplets are clever and memorable, and his observational eye is unsparing. That’s especially true when he turns his wit on himself. “I Only Do It ‘Cause I Have To,” his latest single, is an exercise in pithy poetry; it’s also an honest confession of exhaustion and a protest against the dullness of routine. It’s that sort of incisive writing that has made the Northwest Indiana farmer-musician a favorite of the Chicago Reader and other Midwestern arbiters of artistic and literary excellence.

But what, you may wonder, is it that the weary Leise is doing because he has to, not because he wants to? While he couldn’t be any franker about his emotional state, he’s not telling us its precipitating cause. The title of his album, however, provides a clue. The World That You Grew Up In Is No More is a collection of hard-time ballads and country stompers, Cash-style barnyard rave-ups and wry, plainspoken Guthrie-like protests. The sound is classic, but the sentiment is urgent and forward-looking. Dennis J. Leise is no nostalgiac. He’s got a voice that could be coming from dusty old 78s, but he uses it to deliver broadsides against smug moralists, in-the-way politicians, unapologetic consumerists, and even a drunken Santa Claus. He’s got a farmer’s impatience with authority figures, in other words, and he’s no fan of mindless conservatism or tradition for its own sake.

So when he tells us that he’s only doing something because he has to, it has a particular force. It comes from an artist who has mastered the old ways of doing things but deemed them insufficient and who isn’t afraid to face a changing world. In the clip for the song, we’re shown Leise at his grind, on his very real farm, pitching hay to the animals and attending to grueling chores. Don’t worry — he’s not disenchanted with his rural existence. He’s just as committed to sustainable agriculture as he’s always been. Instead, it’s a metaphor for the sort of automatic labor that keeps a thinker stuck in his ways and that Leise, a broadminded person, is determined to transcend.

Little Lore – Sleep Again (Spotify)

Categories: Audio, Rock, The Latest|Tags: , , , , |

“"Little Lore" sings with her mesmerizing voice in this wonderful story-telling production. Soft guitar chords mixed with violin and light drum patterns. Americana sound magic that's going to change the way you select your music!”

-Nagamag.com

https://littlelore.uk/

Sleep Again: This song is really about what happens to people when they become truly informed about the horror of the climate emergency and how it will impact all of us. We saw it so clearly during the climate assembly in the UK earlier this year, when a hundred or so individuals from all walks of life were educated on the issues, and how they transformed their views and their behav- iours accordingly. Once the genie is out of the bottle it can’t be put in and I liked the play on cli- mate anxiety too - can you sleep again once you understand the impacts on so many innocent people from the rising temperatures? The production treatment we were aiming for is a lullaby feel I love the idea of taking pretty melodies with beautiful musical treatment on the bleakest of topics. I think this song has the most indie / alternative feel to it while holding on to the Americana roots.
