Friday 22nd January, London, UK: Today sees Madison Beer release the official video for her latest single “BOYSHIT”. The single is taken from Madison’s forthcoming debut album, Life Support, out February 26th.

Drawing inspiration from David Lynch’s glamourized scenes of Americana, the “BOYSHIT” video finds Madison portraying the perfect girl next door who teaches a group of young women how to deal with their relationship troubles. The video premiered on YouTube after a livestream chat with eager fans, waiting to see the rising pop star deliver another glimpse into the world of Life Support.

“I wanted this video to be a tongue-in-cheek nod to dealing with toxic masculinity while playing with the aesthetics of cult films ‘Blue Velvet’ and ‘The Heathers’”, says Madison. “At its core, ‘BOYSHIT’ is about knowing your worth and taking back your power in a relationship that clearly has its problems. I’ve been there and that isn’t always an easy thing to do, so I hope this song serves as a reminder for any of my fans out there who need it. You’re worth so much more than someone’s BS.”

Upon release, Billboard said “BOYSHIT”, “makes a late case for one of the best pop chorus openings of 2020.” The track is the latest single from Madison’s highly anticipated debut album, Life Support, out 26th February. In new single “Things Changed,” driving guitars meet shades of twinkling alt-pop and indie rock while radiant vocals take center stage. The Sunshine State delivers a message about naïveté and a blissfully reckless youth. As she reconciles with her past and how things could’ve gone, she counts her lucky stars for the way they turned out.

Skyler shares, “‘Things Changed’ is about where I was in my life and where I could have gone. It’s about who I was with and where they ended up.It’s about the different roads you can take and the ones you choose to leave behind.”

Born in Las Vegas, Skyler moved to Los Angeles shortly after graduating high school to pursue a career in music. However, a breast cancer diagnosis put things on hold for a little while. After successfully battling the disease, Skyler’s experience, determination, and gusto became a clear catalyst for her burgeoning career. “[Breast cancer] doesn’t define me,” Stonestreet shared with Ones To Watch. “But now I want to help other people who are going through it. And I want girls to know that they should feel okay in their own skin.”

The Sunshine State feels like a true representation of Skyler as an artist in her own right. The LA-native creates an altered state full of dreamy landscapes and distorted guitars by diving into her roots of live instruments and ambient vocals. “It’s taken me a long time to figure out exactly what I want to do with my music and I feel like this crazy 2020 has actually helped unlock that (but more it’s because of the help of two of my favorite humans. I feel like I have honestly lived a lot of different lives, some that I have never really looked at, or acknowledged. I think I got too good at pretending they didn’t exist, so I felt like writing about them all.”

With the first release of 2021 Estella is in a reflective mood. Like many of her previous releases she touches on the intricacies that most people face in their daily lives.
