“Very dynamic and detailed work, also preserving melodiousness and harmony. Music that is firmly entrusted to your brain and does not fade away. Its waves run through the body one after another. Big and enchanting Dream Pop rhythms.”

“Детально продуманная работа, очень динамичная, но при этом сохранившая в себе мелодичность и гармонию. Музыка, которая прочно въедается в ваш мозг и не даёт передохнуть. Одна за другой волны пробегают по телу, всё большое и больше очаровывая ритмами Dream Pop.”

Palmaria – Ocean (Spotify)

Categories: Audio, Pop, The Latest|Tags: , , , |

“We'd like to highlight the emotional vocal part, which so perfectly fits with those guitar soundscapes. Colourful sound palette with deep blue, irradiating on the sunny water surface of the vast ocean. True pleasure!”

“Сразу же хочется выделить эмоциональную вокальную составляющую, которая так отлично вписывается в гитарные пейзажи. Красочное полотно, как синяя, переливающаяся на солнце водная гладь бескрайнего океана. Истинное наслаждение!”

-Nagamag.com

Palmaria are an Alt Pop duo from a small town in Italy, currently residing in London. Members Giulia and Francesco have been making a name for their distinctive sound, poetically transporting listeners on a journey of dreamy landscapes and uplifting experiences. Think The xx meets Sylvan Esso, meets Little Dragon on a field trip to the Italian coast.

Their latest single “Ocean” is off of their upcoming EP, Crystallize. Co-written and produced with B-CROMA (Yendry, Fia Moon), the single stays true to their sound of delicate, hypnotizing vocals with a mix of organic sounds and utopian guitars. Taking sonic inspiration from the drums on James Blakes’ “You’re Too Precious”, the duo re-interpreted the sound through Francesco’s classical guitar.

The song is inspired by the legend of Colapesce, the magical story of a man that sacrifices his life on earth, turning into a fish to save his island, but also highlights the problem of the pollution of the ocean. “Ocean” is a call for help. The duo confides, “We wanted to give voice to our frustration; it’s been hurtful to see what is happening, especially growing up in a town almost surrounded by the sea. The ocean has always been such an important element in our lives, inspiring and healing us everytime we were in need, so it’s now our turn, we have to protect it.”

“Ocean” takes you to a surreal, idyllic, safe place, where you can feel free and you can be yourself, inspiring creativity and kindness. In this particular case, kindness towards nature, in a time where it’s pivotal that we stop ignoring the dangers we are already facing and start taking action. The single release sees the duo partnering with OGYRE - an environmental organization that protects oceans and collects plastic waste from the shores, turning it into products.

Palmaria have garnered acclaim from publications such as Complex, The Line of Best Fit and CLASH and have been playlisted by numerous official Spotify and Apple playlists including New Music Friday, Fresh Finds and many more, amassing over 3 million streams across DSPs to date.

Scoobert Doobert – I’m an Idiot (Spotify)

Categories: Audio, Pop, The Latest|Tags: , , , |

“Really feeling the plush beat here, warm fuzzed out Bass sounds so good. Words echo beautifully in this well through out easygoing track. ”

-Nagamag.com

"I'm an idiot is a reflection of self-doubt turned into self-love. A negative affirmation becoming a statement of freedom. It's a song lamenting and celebrating the fact that everyone on this planet is an idiot, each in their own special way. To me, the people who don't view themselves as fools, are the biggest idiots of all. But that's a pretty stupid statement." — Scoobert Doobert

Indie-pop's boy wonder Scoobert Doobert is sharing "I'm an Idiot". A toe tapping self-deprecating reminder of the absurd nature of our collective existential dilemma, in the form of a sonic hug to the self-aware. The more our island of knowledge grows, so does our vast shoreline of what we don't know. We would adore any support you are open to, Scoob is also happy to do interviews, guest playlist curation etc. We are really open to collaboration.

The newcomers Wallners - four young siblings from Vienna - feel comfortable while dreaming and playing with thoughts. The story of Nino (20), Max (23) and the twins Anna and Laurenz (25) almost sounds like a dream itself: After years of tinkering in the living room, they sent demos to various labels without any great expectations. Never ever would they have imagined that they would land straight at Universal Music. But you can hear why: The quartet's debut single compares to a gaze into an enchanted kaleidoscope, presenting itselfas an unmistakable and highly polished sound. Wallners’ hypnotic dream pop will take theirlisteners on an exciting journey somewhere between illusion and reality.

Jenny Kern – Where Did The Time Go (Spotify)

Categories: Audio, Pop, The Latest|Tags: , , , , |

“The sound in -Where Did The Time Go- is like a transparent river or a small waterfall. The likes of Indie and Dream Pop genres with charming vocals of -Jenny Kern- contribute to this. The mood is exciting and at the same time calm and serene. A real gift for hungry listener souls.”

“Звучание в -Where Did The Time Go- похоже на прозрачную реку или небольшой водопад. Этому способствуют жанры Indie и Dream Pop и очаровательный вокал -Jenny Kern-. Настроение волнующее и в то же время спокойное и безмятежное. Настоящий подарок для изголодавшихся душ.”

-Nagamag.com

Few words from the artist about this song:

“Where Did The Time Go” is a relentlessly honest song about a constant struggle with anxiety. "I started writing this song in the midst of the pandemic while having an existential crisis of not knowing what my purpose was or why I was existing." The production is layered with lush synths and vivacious rhythms all while addressing the decidedly heavy search for life’s meaning. It strikes the listener with a kind of honest confusion. In a gentle tone, Jenny throws questions into the universe (“Where did the good go?/Where did it go?”) and seems to give up before they’re answered (“Cause I don’t know, I don’t know where to go anymore,” and later, “Maybe there’s nothing left/Maybe there’s nothing left”). Ultimately this song doesn’t put on a front or filter the darker thoughts and shows that with each release Jenny’s sound feels bigger and brighter than the last.

Golding, Cailin Russo – Boxing Underwater (feat. Cailin Russo) – song by Golding, Cailin Russo | Spotify (Spotify)

Categories: Audio, Pop, The Latest|Tags: , , , , , |

“The present indicator of musicians talent, whose genius is to create music that will not fit into the framework of a single style. Here, in -Boxing Underwater- we can find genres such as Electro Pop and Indie Electronic, but -Golding- and -Cailin Russo-, turned out to create their own special atmosphere.”

“Настоящий показатель таланта музыкантов, их гениальности - это создать музыку, которая не будет вписываться в рамки ни одного стиля. Да, безусловно, в -Boxing Underwater- присутствую такие жанры, как Electro Pop и Indie Electronic, но у -Golding- и -Cailin Russo- получилось создать свою, особую атмосферу. ”

-Nagamag.com

“Boxing Underwater” sees the pair – comprising Jay Bainbridge and Matt Bartlem – working with US artist Cailin Russo to create the uplifting, melodic single which sees razor-sharp production, slick musicianship, and clever lyrical turns coming together to create an impressive pop tune. Co-written with Jarryd James, Golding explains that its arrival is something of a special moment for the pair, having admired James’ work for many years.

“Jarryd has always been a huge inspiration and someone I’ve looked up to as an artist,” Bainbridge explains. “He’s always encouraged me to explore my musical freedoms and demonstrated the idea of ‘you can do anything’, there’s no rules in songwriting. To finally be creating in a room with him was a special moment for me.”

Likewise, Bainbridge looks at their collaboration with Cailin Russo as the missing piece that the track needed, with her almost ethereal voice managing to seamlessly lay atop a hypnotic instrumental bed, taking it from an impressive tune to a world-beating classic.

“We didn’t realise that the song could grow even more until Cailin came on to feature,” Bainbridge explains. “I’ve been a fan of Cailin’s music for years and have always had her in the back of my mind as someone I’d like to work with. Her vocals really helped set the tone and the mood of the song, all the pieces fell into place.”

With the meaning of the track itself is kept somewhat vague on purpose, the accompanying video clip adds something in the way of context. With Nicholas Stevens on filming and directorial duties, the video is a beautifully engaging piece of work that complements the track perfectly.

“It was really important to us to show varying sides of relationships, not just the good but the bad too,” Bartlem notes. “We wanted to capture the emotion of a real relationship so we were lucky enough to have real-life couple Mikalah and Zohar star in the clip, you can truly feel the love and chemistry between them as you watch the video unfold.”

“In the track -Like You Do-, the composer's and performer's talent is mostly pronounced. Soft bits, acoustic instruments and fascinating vocals, which seems to hug you by the shoulders. Pour a cup of tea, open the windows and feel the smell of meadow colours.”

“В треке -Like You Do- наиболее ярко проявляется талант композитора и исполнительницы -Lennie Rayen-. Мягкий бит, акустические инструменты и завораживающий вокал, который словно обнимает вас за плечи; наливает чашечку горячего чая, открывает окна и впускает в дом запахи луговых цветов. ”
