Rêve – CTRL + ALT + DEL
(Video)

“A funky hip nu-skool electro groove that captured our attention. Its clean and danceable, her voice is inspiring, and we loved the muffled out techno vocoder approach. This one will surely rock the dancefloors across the globe. ”

Breakout pop-EDM songstress Rêve unveils her latest track, “CTRL + ALT + DEL,” produced by Montreal production duo Banx & Ranx (Dua Lipa, Sia, Little Mix, Sean Paul). Drawing inspiration from the heydays of 90s sophisticated Euro sound, the lyrically clever “CTRL + ALT + DEL” arrives just in time as the 2021 anthem. “CTRL+ALT + DELETE ‘EM. Ain’t got time for this on the weekend.”

The track is released today alongside its video, imagined by Anthony Hachez and directed by Adem Boutlidja. Highlighting Rêve’s flair for surreal aesthetics, the futuristic visuals show a series of versions of Rêve in a continuous, déjà vu-like loop. Who clicked CTRL C and CTRL V? “Drawing inspiration from the song’s name, we created a never-ending loop, inviting listeners to dive into Rêve’s surreal world,” said Anthony Hachez. “The song’s 90s-era sound is also reflected in the video’s aesthetic, bringing it to life in a futuristic way.”

Ellur – Innocent (Dreaming)
(Video)

“”Ellur” shares her strongly emotional Dream Pop creation and we couldn’t resist to listen. Hypnotizing, sensual vocals mixed with bold hihats and some twisting electronic loops. The perfect combination has a name… and this is “Innocent”!”

-Nagamag.com

Emerging Halifax indie-pop artist Ellur releases ‘Innocent (Dreaming)’ as the final track from her faithfully nostalgic forthcoming EP. Shimmering synths, sleek slinky guitar lines and a driving pulsating rhythm imbues this emotionally introspective anthem with a powerful and theatrical Kate Bush sensibility. Embraced by the likes of DORK, Gigwise and Indie Shuffle, plus a feature on Made In Chelsea, Ellur is set for a Leeds headline to celebrate the launch of her 80’s pop-inspired ‘Moments EP’.

Holy Molly – Bang Bang
(Spotify)

“"Holly Molly" has delivered a real bomb which is about to explode. The perfect combination of an expressive voice and groovy electronic loops can guarantee your amuzement in less than three minutes of Electro Pop magic. Boom, bang bang!”

-Nagamag.com

"I think “Bang Bang” is probably one of the strongest stories I’ve ever written a song about. Imagine this picture: a very toxic relationship, addiction, obsession, domestic violence and everything in between. And in some cases, love is so strong it makes you blind to all those signs regarding your partner’s real character. This is how you can end up in the wrong place with no way to escape from it. From time to time, I think it’s important to talk about the world's real problems, and domestic violence affects people all around the globe. Of course, I had an amazing team helping me create this song and outline the concept." says Holy Molly.

Holy Molly is a singer, songwriter and actress known for her powerful voice and intriguing lyrics. Growing up as a musician, she learned how to play piano, guitar, took music theory and canto lessons at a very young age. She had her first video at the age 13, becoming a pop sensation in her country. Her strong collaborations with LIZOT, Alex Parker, Cosmo & Skoro and Shanguy, made her music included in significant Spotify playlists, Main Stage, SLAP !, Dance Bandeau, Bangers, Power Hour. “Twinkle Twinkle”, had amazing performances in Poland, airplaying in both major radios and musical TV channels. Moreover, the track peaked at #27 in Top 200 Romania, entered EDM DANCE TOP 100 on Deezer and TikTok Dance 2021 on Apple Music. While doing her own songwriting, she compliments her sensual and feminin voice. Her newest track "Shot a friend" was featured with cover on Dance Alert and was placed in Dance Brandneu, Hit Dancefloor, and Fresh Dance Pop. Keep close as there are more surprises coming your way from Holy Molly!

Bad Lori, Yaran – Zvezde
(Spotify)

“For those who seek something different in music, "Zvezde" could be the right choice. Two artists have combined their skills for this Electro Pop track. Distinct dynamic shifts in sound result in unpredictable flow and its vocal variety will surely make you listen again.”

-Nagamag.com

Zvezde is a fast-paced pop track with strong present vocals and guitar-heavy verse arrangement contrasted by synthpop vibes with sampled Amen break during the chorus. The beat is in 7/8 time signature, so it has a soft balkan feel emphasised by lyrics in two balkan languages, Slovenian and the rap/sing Albanian part.

The lyrics are an introspective story about loss.

Lyrics highlights:

Hook: Plavam skoz zvezde, plavam se utapljam v zvezdah / Swimming through stars (universe), drowning in them/it.
Ne povrne, dno ne vrne, izgubljenih ljudi / Hitting the rock bottom doesn't bring back those who were lost

Brazilian Singer-Songwriter Thaís Gulin Makes U.S. Debut with Sultry New Single ‘quar3ntine – a valentine in the quarantine’
Gulin Addresses Politics, Love, and Social Issues with Artful Video Filmed by Neighbors During Quarantine in Copacabana

Renowned Brazilian songstress and actress Thaís Gulin has released her quarantine-inspired single “quar3ntine – a valentine in the quarantine.” The avant-garde video for her American debut was filmed remotely in May of 2020, during a time when the once lively city of Rio de Janeiro, became deserted due to the coronavirus pandemic. Gulin channels her free spirit in her first release since her 2013 hit, “Cinema Big Butts.” Gulin was lovestruck at the beginning of the pandemic, but also disgusted by the outlandish behavior of her country’s president.

https://links.altafonte.com/quar3ntine

“When COVID-19 first hit Brazil, we watched President Bolsonaro carelessly mishandle the pandemic by allowing the virus to rapidly spread throughout the country. He seemed to enjoy it,” explains Gulin. “He would encourage people to disregard public health guidelines such as wearing masks and staying six feet apart, and would publicly mingle with his supporters by shaking their hands and hugging them. This is a political song disguised as a love song. It’s like if the emergency of love was running in parallel to the despair of political happenings.”

Gulin appointed her neighbor as director of photography, who also doubled as her cameraman. The video cascades through various scenes of Gulin intimately singing to her audience of one, while creatively layering in stunning backdrops of the vacant coasts of Rio de Janeiro, giving the video both a multidimensional and observational feel.
