The ladies of Krewella make a strong return to the scene with their new original release – “Never Been Hurt,” in collaboration with the Asian-American duo BEAUZ. The sisters take an exploratory approach to their traditionally hard-hitting sound with a pop and deep house style on the track, which begins with a groovy and yet grimy bassline reminiscent of UK garage sounds. The subtler melodies let the song’s vocals shine through as Krewella brings their A-game with sultry lyrics and a distorted vocal chorus. Krewella’s previous independent single was “Rewind” with Yellow Claw in July of 2020, though they also collaborated with Illenium and SLANDER on “Lay It Down” as a part of Illenium’s album. “The inspiration of ‘Never Been Hurt’ comes from the feeling of the body and heart slowly opening its doors again after being calloused by the pain of love. Surrendering to intimacy is a leap of faith, and in a way, memories of past loss or trauma become erased when we are ready to experience love again in its pure innocence. We wrote the song a few years ago and have been waiting for the right vibe to bring the song to the finish line. As sisters, we found it sweet to be collaborating with brothers Bernie and Johan Yang, and despite being confined to the internet during the pandemic, we managed to have a seamless flow of sending versions of the song back and forth.” – Krewella

Sisters Jahan and Yasmine exploded onto the scene in 2012 with their debut self-released EP “Play Hard,” which has now been streamed almost 150M times on Spotify alone; additionally, their single “Alive” from the EP has been certified Platinum. American duo BEAUZ composed of Bernie and Johan is a group of versatile, classy rockstars who decide their own destiny. RIAA and ARIA platinum certified Australian music writer, producer, remixer and DJ Ryan Riback has released his original single ‘(Just Can’t) Hate U’ featuring Dotter today via New Tribe Music/Sony Music Entertainment Australia.

Hailing from Johannesburg but calling Melbourne his home, Ryan Riback is one of the most in demand remixers, having worked on remixes for Kelly Clarkson, Clean Bandit, Maroon 5, Kygo, LAUV and Khalid to name a few. Most notably, his remix of Starley’s ‘Call On Me’ is now certified ARIA Triple Platinum and RIAA Platinum, hitting the top of the charts around the globe, when at the time, both were virtually unknown artists. The quiet achiever has amassed well over one billion streams.

Although he loves remixing records, Riback’s passion is in his own releases and collaborations and now he's back with his next single, ‘(Just Can't) Hate U’. An anthemic pop record about break ups and not being able to let go, the track was produced by Ryan in Melbourne. On how the track came about, Ryan says, “My team sent me the demo of this record and I immediately fell in love with the concept. I loved the vocal delivery and the feel of it. It feels super current, so I took it, laid down some Riback vibes. Honestly, it came together quickly!”

The track follows on from Riback’s original single ‘Wrong’ (featuring Olivia Noelle), released in June 2020. Fusing pop sensibilities with an infectious midtempo club beat and buoyed by Olivia’s melodic vocals, ‘Wrong’ highlighted Riback’s talent to produce immediately recognisable pop bangers, amassing over 1.5 million worldwide streams.

Ryan Riback is not your average pop/dance music producer. He prefers to lock himself away in his Melbourne studio collaborating remotely, playing video games, laughing at memes/dad jokes, and considering the reality of extra-terrestrials infiltrating the upper echelons of government.

Words4Luv is the title track from the EP "Words4Luv". It is the 1st track on the EP and tells the story of first attraction. The EP tells the story from the first attraction, to how the love blossomed, through to the breakup and finally how you can get through a breakup and feel good.

All 5 of MACY's previous releases have gained attention from the BBC Wales Radio A List and MACY has continued to have support from the local BBC INTRODUCING teams. MACY has started live shows again and has already had Autumn headline shows in Cardiff and has another Headline show in December, in London. "The past year something in me sort of snapped. I’m not sure if it was from the intensity of the pandemic, or the move back to my home state of California and reconnecting to my roots. But a lot of my beliefs about myself and the world have changed drastically.

I always lived with this anxiety like something horrible was just around the corner, but I started asking myself “What if it turns out better than you imagined?” Honestly, I really don’t know if it will! And for the first time in my life I feel so content with not knowing. It’s freeing- I wanted to weave all of it into a song.

And it was one of those days in the studio that felt electric. Daniel Pashman (producer) and I were paired to work together for the very first time and just really hit it off. I remember laughing the whole time, so happy about the melodies and sounds we were playing with.

Since then, “On My Way Up” has become such a familiar friend to me—on hard days, it literally helped me get out of bed and remember all of those realizations from the last year. Like I would blast it in my headphones and just laugh and dance around while making my morning tea. I hope listeners get to feel that too."

Pirate's Blind Date is a journey to the old worlds. My inspiration for this song comes from my own passion for old tales, mystery, and adventure movies. I made up the story when I was in France this summer, and I got inspired by the old villages, ruins, and wild nature. It made me think of a place with villains and heroes. A place where the forbidden can be law, and only the imagination sets limits. I hope this song will help you get a closer look into my head and see where my passion, thoughts, and ideas can take me.
