I wrote Lucid Lullabies cooped up in my fathers attic where I had to live just after the world shut down in 2020, amid grieving the loss of my mother months before, and while Id love to say those feelings of wondering and the unknown are behind me, its 2022, and "Holding it together just for everybody else," are still the lyrics that find their way into theme of my life when the pressure of being who others perceive me to be bares its weight. I wrote this song to soothe my mind, not putting to much thought into the words, it was always about how the sound of the riffs and sounds flowed out of me that brought me the most comfort. As time as passed, the parables and hidden meaning within the once “thoughtless lyrics” now make more sense to me than ever before.
