Andrea Sertori is an Italian pianist and composer of instrumental music. He started his first classical piano studies when he was 9 years old and his first keyboard experiences when he was 15. He had the opportunity to play in different rock bands and at the same time to continue studying piano in order to improve his piano technique and sensitivity as much as possible. Beyond the piano he has the great passion of synthesizers. The study of synthesizers allowed him to learn how to combine classical piano music with electronic music. His first solo work was 'Mosaic Room' (2017), a 5 track EP where piano and synthesizers overlap. From this moment on, in succession, he released a series of tracks that are characterized by a fusion between neo-classical and electronic music.

"Stranger is a moment of reflection on the strange experience we all went trough recently. The lockdown.

The lockdown was like a surreal dream. A blanket of solitude and quietness that just felll on us. Rythms changed, patterns changed. We changed. And yet, in this silent storm I found something good: I found this person in my empty home that I had lost a little along the way.

Myself. I was a stranger to myself.

But suddenly there was enough time and space to look inwards and it felt good. It felt like meeting an old friend after a long time.

Writing this piece, this intimate conversation with my very own soul, was liberating.

Maybe it will feel the same for those who listen as well.”

Dove Nicol is a west African musician whose turbulent life has been marked by the enduring of not only civil war, but a debilitating spinal injury. His story encapsulates music’s ability to act as a form of escape, and this is evident in his inaugural release, ‘Calm Down’. The track premiered on 13th September 2021, under her own imprint ‘Revolutionary Records’. It was accompanied by a music video, self-directed and produced by Dove herself.

The track introduces itself as a chilled Afrobeat stepper, imbued with soulful vibes that echo elements of Jazz and RnB. "I wrote this song after I had gone for a walk during a rainy night in Berlin. In my neighborhood there wasn't much going on anymore except for a few people in a bar waiting for the rain to end while having a drink. I thought it’s just incredible how many different life stories and experiences take place in a single city. Music can completely change your perspective on what you perceive in that moment. This song is a little film music of life with which I tried to capture the feelings of that night."
