Friday 26thMarch, London: Multi-instrumentalist writer, vocalist and producer Daniel Blume enlists critically acclaimed Manchester producer TCTS (Haim, Years & Years, Jonas Blue, 220 Kid) to collaborate on his latest banger to bring heartbreak to the dance floor, ‘Out Of Time’.
‘Out Of Time’ is released today via Positiva Records alongside a captivating visualiser showcasing the expertly-crafted dance floor filler, the strength of Daniel Blume’s songwriting, as well as his distinctive, soulful vocals.
Hot on the heels of recent collaboration ‘Rapture’ with Brazilian superstar producer Alok (which has racked up over 15 million streams in under 8 weeks), ‘Out Of Time’is another red-hot collaboration perfectly interlocking the production styles of these two rising forces at the forefront of the electronic scene.
For Daniel Blume, ‘Out Of Time’ is the latest in his already impressive portfolio of sad songs that bang, which includes global smash and Cheat Codes collaboration ‘Who’s Got Your Love’ (which has racked over 85million global streams topping the US Billboard Dance charts), singles ‘Nights Like This’, ‘Catch Feelings’ & ‘Heartbreaker’, a songwriting credit for Ella Henderson and acclaimed remix of Dermot Kennedy’s hit single ‘Giants’. His energetic production style and natural knack for a soaring pop chorus has earned him comparisons to Calvin Harris and The Chainsmokers, as well as accolades from the likes of MTV (‘One To Watch’), RTÉ and The Sunday Times.
‘Out of Time’ was made in collaboration with Manchester producer, artist, remixer and DJ, TCTS. Daniel Blume’s reputation as one of the most exciting breaking artists in his native Ireland is well-established. With fast rising Spotify streams, placement on taste-making playlists like Spotify’s ‘Dance Revolution’, and a sell-out tour with Jax Jones under his belt, it’s only a matter of time before his shimmering, emotional bangers become chart fixtures.
Given his talent for creating modernist dance, Blume’s background might come as a surprise. His classical training began as a child when he earned a place at the world-renowned Yehudi Menuhin School. He studied guitar and piano, his education funded via a scholarship set up by The Rolling Stones. At the age of 15 he won the BBC’s Young Composer of the Year award and a glittering career in the world of classical music seemed to be his destiny.
