Back by popular demand, JB Stark is releasing 2 more collaborations with soul singer Kestra. Their last 3 singles together have become fan favourites with over 4 million streams combined.

The second of the two singles is Your Sweet Power, a soulful and upbeat tune with a strong funk bassline. The song’s story reflects on a lost loved one, who still looks over your shoulder. Everyone can remember their greatest teacher or mentor, and years later you can still hear them chastise you and tell you off in your head. But it’s always done with love, and it’s always welcome as a guiding light.

London songwriter and producer JB Stark makes vibrant pop tunes which are more than the sum of their parts. Since his debut in February 2020, his songs have racked up over 5 million streams, been playlisted by Spotify (Indie Pop, Trending Hits) and Apple Music (Future Hits, Friday Feeling), entered the Spotify Viral 50 charts and received support from BBC Introducing, EARMILK, Alfitude, and many others.

JB Stark also produces and writes for other artists. In 2021 he co-wrote and produced the track ‘Tattoo’ for K-pop idol AILEE. Previous tracks have featured on BBC Radio 1, BBC Radio 2, BBC Radio 6, XFM, MTV and SB.TV. He has also landed sync placements on major TV networks including Fox, CBS, E!, BBC Three, Channel 5 and BRAVO.

Residing in the creative hub of East London, and drawing inspiration from artists such as Mark Ronson, Paul Epworth and Max Martin, JB Stark's array of influences allow the producer/writer to curate a rich tapestry of unique sounds and textures.

Marjorie - New York-based vocalist Melodie Stancato and multi-instrumentalist Zachary Taube - share the eponymous lead single off their upcoming debut EP Doesn’t Exist, out January 21 on Whatever’s Clever.

“Doesn’t Exist” is a Broadcast-esque track that hinges on a choral round shared by lead singer Melodie Stancato and multi-instrumentalist Zachary Taube: “Time was wasted. So were we, my friend,” the pair sings. It’s an atmospheric tune built around keyboard block chords and finished with bell-like, arpeggiated synths and zoned-out saxophone.

‘Simple Loving’ by VIKI TSAI is out now and available to stream on all major streaming platforms! The single lasts around three minutes and sits at 125bpm. The track commences with a seven-second intro that builds a sense of anticipation for the verse. The foundational bass combines with the rhythmic beat and atmospheric synth to provide the perfect platform for the vocal. VIKI TSAI’s clean and emotive vocal color seamlessly synchronizes with the upbeat vibe of the instrumentation.

The subtle layering of backing-vocal elements adds a depth to the vocal line without detracting from the lyrical prominence. A partial breakdown section from around 2:26 to 2:48 delivers just the right amount of dynamic diversity to ensure that this single is engaging from start to finish. By the time ‘Simple Loving’ draws to a close, you’ll find yourself humming along with the catchy hook and in need of hitting that repeat button for another listen.
