Fading Memories is an ambient piece that combines elements of post-rock and cinematic music. The song is about someone who slowly starts seeing the memories fading away and is desperately trying to recover them. It was inspired by my grandmother who in the last years of her life suffered with dementia. The song is divided in 3 parts that represent states of dementia: early, middle and late. The last part features all instruments in an unusual way to express total confusion.
