MAD RIVER are a Canadian folk-rock band with blues and country influences...Swamp Music!

MAD RIVER released their debut album, ‘Swamp Music’, in 2017. Neill Lanz, singer/songwriter, resides in the Duntroon Highlands, Ontario, home of MAD RIVER Recording Studio. Previously, Neill and Rick Garner released a folk country album, ‘Tickler’; of which four songs received radio play in Canada, USA, Europe and the U.K. Neill was formerly in the band Butterfoot in the 80-90’s playing cover tunes and original music locally and throughout Ontario, Canada. Rick Garner, multi-instrumentalist and co-arranger of both the MAD RIVER albums also performs locally with his son in the Aaron Garner Band. Craig Smith, producer, has released 3 solo albums, performed internationally with various bands as well as a solo artist. After years of mastering studio techniques Craig is an in-demand music producer, mixer, and a creative music collaborator in the Georgian Bay region of Ontario, and well beyond.

The catchy and no-holdbacks "Confetti" is an irrepressible start to the EP, and frames the rest of your listening experience with a rare mix of excitement and authenticity. From emotionally tinged vocals and soaring falsetto to sexy guitar and drum sounds sampled from a New York crosswalk, "Confetti" is a personal confessional from Stevie about the emptiness felt after a heartbreak. "Oh I've been thinking about you, oh I've been thinking, drowning in memories of you," he croons. "Confetti" reads like a diary page out loud - from feelings of hopelessness, sadness, to indifference - Stevie manages to capture each feeling and effortlessly string it into a song you can't get out of your head.

There are number of tracks to sink your teeth into on Chapped lips, and "Confetti" is just one of the many ear-worms on the EP. A poet in his own right, Stevie explores themes of loneliness, dependency, and self-love in his music. "Ink" is addicting in all the right ways and will be on repeat for days, "Just The Rain" is calming, peaceful, and delicately crafted and "You Are Loved demo" is a vulnerable, raw addition. In fact, "You Are Loved demo" is the original demo recording from Stevie's phone. "I loved the performance so much I wanted that to be the version that was released, rather than produce it out," he shares. Noid, formed in Kanazawa, Japan. Their 2 compilation albums were released on Babyboom Records (UK) for worldwide in 2008. Their songs were played on the radio in so many countries like Scotland, French, Brazil etc.. 1st album "the space-elephant arrives at the moon" was released in April 2009. "wood world" o the album was No. 3 on the college weekly chart. They played at big summer festival in Japan called Summer Sonic in the same year.

Their activities have been based in their hometown Kanazawa. They have organized their own irregular events called Magical Colors Night. They have invited so many great acts from foreign countries like Of Montreal, Mineral, +/- {PLUS/MINUS}, my hawaii, TOPS , HAJK, Aiming For Enrike etc..

Their 2nd album was released on moorworks in 2013. The album received a local award of CD shop award in 2014.

In 2015, they released split 7" with Kyoto based band "my letter" on & records.

In 2016, "the most quiet singer songwriter" You-Can, the organizer of one of the greatest festival in Kyoto called Boro Festa joined the band. Now they consist of 8 people in flux.

In 2017, 3rd album "HUBBLE" was released on & records.

In 2018 single “Closing of the 80th theater” “moon” was released on & records.

In 2019 new single “paradiselost ” is out on May 17th via Trapped Animal Records（U.K）, Cargo Records, with &Records handling the release in Japan.

New York City, NY – Sep. 10, 2019 – The opening lines of BONES are the first words, “Nathaniel Paul” of “The Bergamot” shared with us: “I told my brother after he had checked out of rehab for the 2nd time. My family had to intervene in a suicide attempt on Christmas Day 2016. 3 months later, we sat together on the banks of Lake Michigan as he first listened to BONES. With tears streaming down his face he said, “I want to send this song to all my friends at rehab” My brother is alive to this day. BONES” speaks the truth with love; we can’t just run from our burdens. –
