Bruce has released a single called “Sakana” this year, which is in the Afrobeat genre. Adding to his new single Bruce also has a Playlist on Spotify called “Afro Tech” with other Afrobeat songs and he also has a new song coming out this summer.

DJ Bruce Blanchard’s roots lay in African beats and more specifically, Lingala music. During the first lockdown is when he created his first song ‘Sakana’ in collaboration with Enikao productions. ‘Sakana’ means ‘to play’ in Lingala, which directly refers to him starting his career playing as a DJ. He specifically created this song to lift people’s spirits during the Lockdown. Now he has curated a playlist called ” Afro Tech” which focuses on African-style songs, but provides a mixture with tech and house music. The list is for him his current favourite 30 songs which fall under the style of Afro tech. Soon, he will be releasing a new single which will follow the same African base. This song, which is a lounge party song in Lingala, will be focused on moving away from lockdown and restarting our future where we will hopefully meet each other again in the party scene!

After releasing her debut single "Too Late" just last month, the multitalented LA-based DJ/producer Sam Blacky returns with her follow-up release "Body," a smoldering vocal house track that was inspired by Sam's world travels. Opening with beats that call to mind a frenzied tribal drum circle, Blacky incorporates ethereal vocals for a touch of complexity and contrast. When the deep, driving bassline kicks in, you'll be taken to a beachside set in Mexico as the sun is going down and the dancefloor is heating up. Samantha Black is a multitalented DJ/producer, model, and influencer professionally known as Sam Blacky. life breath is a textural, instrumental meditation on collective loss and rebirth. It is the second track on my forthcoming EP "elegy" (due out March 12, 2021). Fun additional fact: I am a sound designer for Ableton, the Germany-based electronic software/hardware company. I design midi instrument pre-sets for their digital audio workstation, Ableton Live. One of my recent creations is a midi pre-set in the "Drone Lab" sound pack (which was released alongside Ableton Live 11) called "lifebreath." I designed this drone-y sound as I was indulging in this instrumental meditation, and I wanted to share it with Ableton users and music creators around the world.

Full Scale SF Action is a breakbeat single that leads the listener into a futuristic atmosphere. It combines synthesizer, rhodes and zither samples, kicked by an heavy rhythmic section ! The track is built as a journey that ends with an overing last part.

Misaïdu

A fraternal duo created by Thomas and Nicolas Beau, Misaidu stands out with its hybrid music. Through "Tiger Lily" and "How To Change", featured on U.BABA Vol.1, and a single titled "Half Light", we discover a generous and powerful sound, with multiple influences, sonorities and textures. This is no accident.

On the influences side of things, both brothers have bathed into the CDs, cassettes or vinyls of their parents. Quickly, they became independent music lovers and soaked up many genres ranging from hip hop to metal, from house to jazz and IDM.

“Wasted” is the first track from our upcoming debut LP Midnight Island. Think of “Wasted” as an electric dream… flowing through you with a sense of hope, warmth, and belonging.

Produced in collaboration with the brilliant Matt di Pomponio, who will burst into the room and shout something like “Ok! Here’s what we are going to do: James is going to wrap a frayed patch cable around an old telephone, face north, and bite a pretzel into a microphone!” And yes...that is buried in the track somewhere.

Each of us has our own story of living through a powerful, but toxic relationship. The moment you realize that you deserve better, you reclaim your agency and the whole world opens up again—like when you were a child or a teenager discovering things for the first time.
