Sharpson – 4 Ur Ma (Spotify)

Categories: Audio, Techno, The Latest|Tags: , , , , |

“Trance synths, acid and strong bassline, vocal effects and a banging kick result in a breakbeat success which you must not miss. Try not to move while listening to this rave hit and you'll fail!”

-Nagamag.com

Sharpson returns with a 90's rave banger '4 Ur Ma'. ‘4 Ur Ma’ is a love letter to the early UK rave scene. With influences from The Prodigy’s Jilted Generation album, 4 Ur Ma is a hard hitting breakbeat track with all of the hallmarks; trance synths, pitched up vocals and a hard hitting acid bassline. Starting off in typical breaks fashion, the track breaks convention by jumping into a hard, 4 To The Floor, techno beat. With vocal drops supplied by Wax White (Damien Guilfoyle / Gavin Furlong), two Irish Rappers, this tune has a local Dublin spin to it and definitely one for the Irish ravers. 4 Ur Ma is out now on ‘Choki Biki Records’.

“As the title "Imari" reveals, Jacana People focused on converting images into notes. Light, colourful, melodic and warm; This one will stick in your mind and possibly keep playing for hours!”

-Nagamag.com

Following a dynamic first 10 months together, Jacana People gained early access to the million-stream club, landing tastemaker & editorial support from the likes of Anjunadeep, Apple Music, Spotify, BBC Radio 1, BBC 6 Music, Amazing Radio and a #1 Hype Machine slot - on their first three releases since forming.

Jaguar, BBC Radio 1, ‘If you like your Bonobo, your Four Tet and your Tourist…you’re gonna like this a lot’

Constructed around thoughts of escapism and change - ideas and ideals that 2020 has given significant weight to - ‘Imari’ conjures an abstract location from which colourful and hopeful narratives emerge. Driven by warped and delicate vocal chops this forthcoming single connects the physical with the emotional, thanks to a backdrop of vibrant synths and cascading percussive textures. Confident in its sonic identity, ‘Imari’ emits a quiet energy from which mesmeric harmonies take the listener to a place of respite, where dusty beat loops and repeated synth pads mirror life’s circular patterns.

Jacana People have firmly positioned themselves amongst the new wave of UK electronic artists in the ascendance, including Barry Can’t Swim, Effy, TIBASKO, 1-800 Girls, and TSHA borne out through collaboration and remix duties as well as landmark releases. ‘Imari’ marks a new phase for these long- standing friends, bookending their first year together as Jacana People. - Lie to Me

Kepa Lehtinen – Nowhere (Spotify)

Categories: Audio, Features, Neoclassical, Neoclassical Features, The Latest|Tags: , , , , |

“Let yourself and your thoughts flow out of the endless stream of daily worries. The wounds will be healed, the heartbeat slows down, let the river of life take you on its waves. Kepa Lehtinen knows how to sound design a cinematic story, where the emotions fly around on all sides, to nowhere, like feathers in the wind and the bond of piano keys and theremin seems like a couple of angels who dance in the rhythm of wind.”

“Отпусти себя и свои мысли в бесконечном потоке наших повседневных забот. Раны затягиваются, биение сердца замедляется, пусть река жизни уносит вас на своих волнах.”

-Nagamag.com

The Maestro of the Theramin is out with a brand new song “NOwhere”... there is more to the instrument made famous by Scifi films from 50's.

The theremin, comes to life under the direction of the rising Finnish composer, Kepa Lehtinen on his new dark andante Nowhere.“The way i use theremin is quite unique. Together with double bass the theremin completes the piano like cello and violin does in classical piano trio.” The theremin is a electronic instrument which produces sound when your hands interact with the electro-magnetic field it emits without actually touching the device itself. It was invented in the labs of KGB by Russian engineer Leon Theremin in the early 1920s.

Strumming through the invisible electronic waves the Tonality play is unnoticeable. While harmonies are modern and complex; the overall feel seems to be nonetheless easily approachable and primitively hypnotic.

Insight to the world of the Theremin from Kepa….On the sound ”Retro but ultra hifi sound has been my goal at studio. Sound of sadness and past.” “Everybody wonders at my instrument,” ”but after all it is the most organic musical instrument there is. The sound is in direct contact with my breathing and the slightest movements of my body. I played the theremin part with a sore hand that I had hurt in a small skate accident i can feel the pain in my hand every time i listen to this track - lol”

-Nagamag.com

It’s a combination of Techno, Deep, Dark & Acid music. Song is quite short on techno, just something above 3 minutes, but it meant to be. Three minutes is enough time to show everything that Venom is all about. Primary tempo was set up at 125 bpm. Venom will definitely find a group of techno lovers who will enjoy the quality and uniqueness of the song and also a group of people with opposite opinions.

MESSERGEIST – Innermantra (Video)

Categories: House, The Latest, Video|Tags: , , , , |

“Our soul is designed not only to hear, feel and understand the world, but also to energize our bodies and minds. The new track Innermantra by Messergeist is a breath of pure energy. Solid production! ”

“Наша душа предназначена не только для того, чтобы слышать, чувствовать и понимать мир, но также ещё и для подпитки энергией наши тела и разум. Новый трек Innermantra – глоток чистой энергии.”

-Nagamag.com

New track from Messergeist, released on Vision Vol.2 compilation by Bring New Unity records. Really melodic and groovy track, with meditative vibes and Indian chants. A mix between progressive house and melodic techno, with strong kick, deep and wide bass, ethereal sitar and plucky melodies. Without being too long, the song is evolving into some trippy vibes while keeping the groove all along.

Melodic tech house, sometimes a bit lunatic. Travelling through light, darkness, hope and despair, Messergeist’s music is a journey towards the soul of a twisted mind.
