clear eyes – everything i’m missing (ft. Marian Hill)
(Video)

“Full of creativity Chillstep creation, just out from “Clear eyes”. We really enjoyed the synth sound layering, in a low bpm mix with remarkable clarity. Also the soft voice of Marian raises the overall production level even higher.”

clear eyes is the passion project of of producer Jeremy Lloyd, the non-vocal half of Marian Hill. Delving deeper into electronic layering and palettes, the clear eyes project is a way for Lloyd to tap into a different mood, making music with beauty as its first priority and conjuring feelings of serenity and peace.

Still in recovery from a traumatic injury to both his wrists that rendered him unable to make music for 4 months, Jeremy is positively overflowing with creativity and has executive produced 3 albums that will all release this year (Marian Hill, Reo Cragun, and Clear eyes). “everything i’m missing” features the always-crystalline vocal stylings of his Marian Hill partner, Samantha Gongol. The first adjective that comes to mind with this track is “breezy”. From the sampled acoustic guitar plucks to Samantha’s vocals, there’s an unassuming swagger that is only compounded by simple beats that know exactly what their duty is.

As Lloyd puts it, “As a producer, you always have so many ideas that never make it to a release.” clear eyes is his opportunity to finally bring those sounds to our ears.

With all these song ideas now taking fruition, clear eyes is releasing an album that is filled to the brim with features. Feeling for Two includes features from a diverse array of artists — Fifth Harmony’s Lauren Jauregui, T.H.E.Y.’s Drew Love, indie-pop duo Slenderbodies, Bay-area rapper Rexx Life Raj, pop crooner Ayelle, frequent Flume-collaborator Reo Cragun, Lorem-favorite Nolie, electronic producers Tennyson and Lophiile, up and coming songwriter Roísin Marie, and of course, longtime collaborator Samantha Gongol of Marian Hill.

“I love the idea that I can have a session with any artist, from any genre, and come away with a song that feels like them and also feels like me. It’s about the balance of creating a unique sonic world where there’s still room for everyone. ”

Libertad (Main Theme) | Far Cry 6 (Original Game Soundtrack) | Pedro Bromfman
(Video)

“Whether you’re a fan of Cinematic music or not, some productions can prove quite impressive. “Libertad” is surely one of them. Exceptionally built electronic track, with plenty of synth layers that form an addictive atmosphere from where we couldn’t escape!”

-Nagamag.com

For the new entry in the long-running Far Cry series, Brazilian composer Pedro Bromfman— known for his work on Narcos and Robocop — creates music that is drenched in lush soundscapes, driving percussion, processed organic instruments and a ton of synthesizers. The game takes place in the Caribbean island of Yara, and the music reflects its surroundings with roots in traditional Latin American and Caribbean music, while being completely free to experiment with contemporary sounds, elements and techniques.

Today “Libertad”, marked by a layered build of guitars and thick atmosphere, makes its way into the world as well. A theme Bromfman created for Yara’s revolution, it’s part of a greater body of work marked by expanding synths wrapped around dark-cloaked strings with a distinct pulse.

“We needed a powerful melody, full of beauty and longing like the island itself, that could also encompass the grit, darkness and pain of a bloody war,” he describes. “With heavy percussion and electric guitar, it quickly builds and explodes into an anthem for Yara’s, young and old, fighting for their freedom.”

Bromfman’s score for Far Cry 6 has a clear artistic vision, with distinctive, haunting melodies and character themes, fully immersing the listener. He calls it “a journey full of beauty, violence, adrenaline and passion,” and it’s hard to disagree with those descriptions once the entirety of the score is taken in.

The Far Cry 6 (Original Game Soundtrack) is out today, with the expanded Far Cry 6: Complete Music (Original Game Soundtrack) out 10/21 via Ubisoft Music.

Sea Girls – Sick (Youtube)
(Video)

“”Sea Girls” offer a taste of their future album release via this very promising song. Full of Electro Pop bright melodies and lyrics with deep meaning, it can easily attract your interest and bring in mind some true aspects of life. Don’t forget to watch the clip too!”

-Nagamag.com

Following a run of massive mainstage festival performances, including Reading & Leeds Festival, TRNSMT, Neighbourhood and Latitude, this summer, Sea Girls have revealed the brand new video for their infectiously honest single ‘Sick’. The track is taken from their highly-anticipated new album Homesick – out 14th January 2022 on Polydor. https://seagirls.lnk.to/HomesickPR

Directed by Joseph Delaney (Ashnikko, HMLTD) in Hackney, the stunningly shot video sees lead singer Henry Camamile reflecting in his gloomy room on all the things that make him sick. “It was very important that this video felt real and didn’t stray from the intended feelings of frustration and repetition I was feeling in my life when this song was written,” Henry said of the video. “Being a filmmaker Joseph our Director totally felt the song’s meaning.”

A band well and truly into their stride, Homesick sees Sea Girls, Henry Camamile, Rory Young, Andrew Dawson and Oli Khan, deliver thirteen measures of guitar driven pop brilliance including 2 bonus Deluxe tracks. A deeply personal record, lead singer Henry Camamile returned to his childhood home in Lincolnshire at the wake of the pandemic, finding himself having to address and reflect on events from his past, both good and bad. A cathartic process, Henry leaves nothing to the imagination with his astute storytelling and candid lyrics. Delving into some of his darkest moments, the uplifting album comes as a sense of relief, a gratefulness for survival. Lyrically raw and packed to the brim with hooks, the band step into new realms with an added sense of maturity and a bigger ambitious sounding record.

Teaming long-term producer Larry Hibbitt with Grammy Award winning Producers Jacknife Lee, Jonny Coffer and Cass Lowe to co-produce the record, Henry reflects on the process: “Imagine us locked down in the studio in rainy Brixton working with the producers remotely on the album in California’s Topanga Canyon. That clashing of worlds is the sound of this record, the DNA. Making an album this way, remotely and 5000 miles apart, was a crazy idea and shouldn’t have worked, but it did.”

Sea Girls, one of the most exciting guitar bands to have emerged in recent times, are the torchbearers for the next wave. Delivering sing-along anthems for the masses, the band’s journey is well and truly on its way.
