Cinematic singer-songwriter Hannah Schneider will be releasing her latest single, ‘We’ll Be The Only Sound In The World’ on the 5th of November. The single is the first to be shared from her upcoming album Ocean Letters which will be released in September 2022 via Midnight Confessions. Born and based in Copenhagen, Denmark, Hannah Schneider has previously both lived and toured in the UK. In 2014, her third album Red Lines was released on Mermaid / Sony and UK label Lojinx. Her atmospheric sound has also recently appeared in the international nordic TV series Ride Upon the Storm. As a daughter to two classical musicians, Hannah Schneider finds inspiration in a wide variety of artists including Hania Rani, Beach House, Satie, Björk, Hania Rani, Serge Gainsbourg and Debussy. The singer’s unique melancholic nordic sound calls to mind the likes of Olafur Arnalds, Aldous Harding and The Cinematic Orchestra.

Creating an intimate connection between the neo-classical and the modern, Hannah Schneider holds up a mirror to a melancholic world while gently decorating it with shimmering electronic embellishments and an escapable truth. ‘We Will Be the Only Sound in the World’ finds the balance between sensual and melancholic as the singer’s engaging charisma compliments her ambient Nordic soundscapes.

Speaking of the song, Hannah Schneider tells us: “This is the first single from my forthcoming album "Ocean Letters"- an album that is thematically inspired by Danish poet Siri Ranva Hjelm Jacobsen and her little book of the same name, that talks about the evolution of the world as it is seen by the Ocean. This song is written from the perspective of a conch shell, telling its stories of the grains of sand and the waves that indented it, playing with the fact that seashells actually are a kind of amplifier of ambient noise. The song was written during a lockdown in Denmark this January, and it reflects the feeling of pandemic stillness - the lack of aeroplanes in the sky, and traffic sounds that usually create eternal background noise.”

“This track begins with carefully selected chords, swaying on its melodic waves. The artist draws his voice so thin that you can hear a droplet of sadness, hope and an ocean of sincere emotions. Bravo!”

“Трек начинается с грамотно подобранных аккордов, которые покачивают на своих мелодичных волнах. Исполнитель рисует своим голосом настолько тонкую эмоцию, что в ней можно услышать капельку грусти, надежды и океан искренних эмоций. Браво!”

Elle L – Higher (Video)

Categories: Pop, The Latest, Video|Tags: , |

“Beautiful melody and Dream Pop rhythm, which introduce you in a fabulous story. It’s quite amazing how everything successfully fits into the musical pattern of the entire work, thereby creating a strong feeling of presence.”

“Красивая мелодия и ритм Dream Pop, которые подчеркивают сказочное повествование, усиливает акценты там, где это нужно. Самое удивительное, что всё удачно вписалось в музыкальный рисунок всего материала, создавая тем самым полное ощущение присутствия.”

-Nagamag.com

ELLE L’s official debut single ‘Hoping’ and introductory track ‘Circles’ received a groundswell of tastemaker support to establish her rising star status. Earning a first wave of critical acclaim from Noisey, The Face, Wonderland, Clash, The Telegraph and harnessing radio support from BBC Introducing. Diplo’s Sirius XM and Soho Radio, ELLE L has landed on key playlists at Apple Music, Shazam and synched her music to a worldwide TV / Digital campaign with Lacoste. Beyond her creativity as a musician, ELLE L’s multidimensional nature also reflects in her work as a regenerative fashion ambassador and as an environmental activist working on campaigns alongside the United Nations.

Now ELLE L’s skybound trajectory continues as she shares her brand new single ‘Higher’ along with its official video, released 5/11/21 with a premiere on VEVO US ‘Incoming Pop, VEVO UK ‘Emerging Artists 2021’ and ‘Study Sessions’. Early Editorial support has been harnessed by The Line of Best Fit, Wonderland Magazine and Apple Music, landing on ‘New Music Daily, ‘New in Pop’ and ‘Breaking Pop’ this weekend.

‘Higher’ channels ELLE L’s beautifully feminine vocals into a song that blurs the lines between dream-pop and dance-pop with searingly honest lyrics and euphoric, guitar-driven production. The result is an uplifting crowd-pleaser with international appeal. The narrative places a poetic slant on a universal experience: embracing the possibility that new love has the potential to go all the way, but that first you might have to put yourself into a vulnerable place and ‘let go’.

ELLE L says, “‘Higher’ explores the power of surrendering yourself to fearless love. I feel like we all need good energy more than ever, so I wanted to write a song that dares to be positive. It’s a natural progression from the themes of my debut single ‘Hoping’, which focused on the notion of opening up to new love. It takes a lot of bravery to be so Panglossian about the future and to let go of your vulnerabilities. Love has a glass-like fragility and at the same time the potential to be earth-shatteringly beautiful. For me, it’s always worth taking the risk to trust and love hard.”

https://www.instagram.com/ellel__/

‘Higher’ was written and performed by ELLE L, with production courtesy of ARH at Tileyard Studios, London. It was subsequently mixed by Dan Vinci (Ed Sheeran, Jessie Ware) and mastered by Chris Gheringer (Dua Lipa, Selena Gomez) at Sterling Sound.

ELLE L further explores the themes behind the song with its official video, a beautifully kaleidoscopic animation from Jack Zhang, one of the team behind the Dua Lipa x Elton John ‘Cold Cold Heart’ video. The narrative focuses on a young woman and a rabbit, who both dream of escaping far into the stratosphere above us. It adds a new string to her creative direction after the release of the striking, stylised aesthetic she first revealed with the video for ‘Hoping’.

Outside of music, ELLE L unites the worlds of fashion and sustainability with the aim of inspiring a more positive, eco-conscious future for the planet. She is a newly appointed Kindness Champion for UNESCO MGIEP’s #KindnessMattersglobal campaign. This year has also seen her address and showcase her music at the Frankfurt Fashion Summit and the UNESCO MGIEP’s 3rd World Youth Conference. Elle’s recent special projects have included curating and moderating segments at UNEA-4 for UNEP with Heron Preston and as a global ambassador for Fashion For Conversation, she has ventured to the depths of the Peruvian Amazon and curated a runway show at the Natural History Museum. She is also an ambassador for the regenerative-circular fashion brand and has featured this year in British Vogue and Harper’s Bazaar.

Her talents as a musician and director also resonate in her philanthropic endeavours. ‘Hoping’ was synced for the Hope For Earth Day 2021, a campaign with bio-dynamic brand Mude Drinks which raised over $15,000 for non-profit Hoja Nueva to rewild endangered species in Madre De Dios, Peru.

Jasper Sloan Yip – Blushing Autumn (Video)

Categories: Pop, The Latest, Video|Tags: , , , |

“Life has a main cycle which follows nature. “Jasper Sloan Yip” captures the spirit of Autumn in this magnificent single. Soft Rock sound, based on acoustic instruments in a mix with warm singing. Highly artistic result, which can attract almost everyone.”

-Nagamag.com

Jasper Sloan Yip’s latest offering is as moody as a rainy day in his hometown of Vancouver. The atmospheric double EP is full of ethereal harmonies and resonant strings while Yip tackles grief, heartbreak, and inevitable endings, all pinned to downbeat languid rhythms.

As with all endings comes new beginnings, and within this sense of struggle are edges of hope. Yip summarizes the album as “a meditation on learning to live with the death process,” as well as the birth of new life and a new chapter – specifically, Fatherhood.

The new double EP, Strange Calm / Blushing Autumn emerged from the liminal period after the Strange Calm sessions at the Noise Floor had been cut short by COVID. In the midst of isolation, Yip recalls how the second EP came to be.

“I felt that what we had made was finished, but also that there was more to say. So with nothing written and not much to go on other than a desire to create, I committed myself to recording a second EP at Afterlife Studio in Vancouver with producer and longtime collaborator John Raham (Destroyer, Tanya Tagaq, Frazey Ford). Almost immediately after doing this, my wife and I learned we were going to be parents the following summer, and from that point on there was nothing else to write about. What resulted was Blushing Autumn: four quiet songs about the anticipation of new life.”

The next challenge was how to go about making collaborative music in isolation. In the weeks leading up to the sessions, Vancouver’s COVID numbers were trending in the wrong direction, depriving Jasper and the band of an opportunity to workshop the material. Rather than fret, the band decided to lean into the circumstances, inviting cameras into the studio to capture whatever happened under the guidance of filmmaker Lester Lyons Hookham of C’est La Vid Productions. “That was an exercise in trust,” says Yip. “I was already nervous about recording untested songs, but we decided to embrace the opportunity for spontaneity in the hopes we’d capture something special on film, and I think we did.”

Jasper has hinted at a much larger film project still in the works for 2022. For the time being though, he is sharing footage of the sessions as a music video for “Blushing Autumn”, showing the band in situ, joyfully creating together in-studio again after a long separation.

Polymancer x Ronojit Bhuyan – formless, bundles (live in a hotel room) (Spotify)

Categories: Audio, Neoclassical, The Latest|Tags: , , , , , |

“Quite artistic Dream Pop approach with piano melodies and a main singing part. The artist focuses on feelings of sadness and dissapointment which usually occur after a break up. Whether this finds you in a similar phase or not, it really worths a listen.”

-Nagamag.com

https://fanlink.to/formless-piano

formless, bundles talks about heartbreak and a feeling of helplessness one can feel as they watch a relationship fade away into nothingness, as painless as you may try for it to be, still somehow pricking ever so slightly into your heart. A collection of different recordings, this release comes out as a live piano version of the song, featuring the acclaimed Mumbai-based pianist Ronojit Bhuyan on the keys.

https://instagram.com/ron_bhu

An acoustic version of the grand five variant release, the piano version captures raw emotion as the listener goes through the many phases of acceptance where they find themselves drowning in Poly’s deep vocals, swimming ashore every now and then when the piano hits a breather post hook. Ronojit’s smooth keys guide the listener into auditory extravagance as he glides across the blacks and the whites of the piano, much as life does through its many different phases, some filled with bright light and other darker.

This release is the first of five versions to be launched, and is accompanied first by a psychedelic audio visualiser on release day, and then by a music video the day after the major release on YouTube, iTunes Video, Tidal, and Deezer stores. With BBC Introducing showing support, Polymancer aims to break into the global Dream-Pop scene with a bang, spreading his releases across the next few months until the major sophomore EP hits.

Loulita Gill, Aron Bicskey – Will You? (Spotify)

Categories: Audio, Neoclassical, The Latest|Tags: , , , , , |

“Gentle Dream Pop work with classical influences and light, leading vocals. This track emphasizes on the importance of emotional support between people. If it happens to face a difficult situation when others could stand by and make things better with even a few words, will they do so?”

-Nagamag.com

We have all been there when we don’t want answers, fixes, good advice or helpful suggestions. In fact, we just need a person to be there, so we don’t feel alone in our hurt. But it’s often easier said than done. When we try

to help someone by ‘fixing’ them and their problems, it only minimises their pain and can lead to a breakdown in communication and ultimately silent resignations.

Will You? is a gentle, almost broken and anxious, request to just be there... not to try and solve anything but be truly seen and heard. It is an emotional plea for a simple act of kindness to make a person feel loved, to feel hope.

Set on a landscape of ethereal piano, the vocals and words stand out as the focal point of the track. The harmonies build in the bridge, and finally drops to

a tender chorus, which is the final admonition and agreement to just be there.
