Belgium-based artist WAYI [wa-yee] is no stranger to creating music with passion-filled R&B grooves. Now WAYI unveils her sultry new track ‘Chill’. With lustrous vocals and sublime harmonies that layer tantalising instrumentation and a swaying rhythm, ‘Chill’ is an enticing R&B track not to be missed. Lainey Dionne is a Providence based cover artist and singer/songwriter. Her debut record, Can't Refuse - EP, was released in 2016 and is available on iTunes, Spotify, and other streaming services. She writes the "sort of music that immediately makes you forget that you left a burning oven on, or should be doing something productive. Music that will make you forget about everything else and just listen" (Verge Media). Can't Refuse- EP is an honest and vulnerable look at love and life through a twenty-something singer/songwriters eyes.

Her debut album was featured on HomeBru'd, a segment for New England's leading alternative radio station, WBRU. In 2018, Lainey was nominated for Best Solo/Acoustic Act, Best Americana Act, and Best College Act at the Worcester Music Awards, along with Best Breakthrough Act at Rhode Island's famed, Motif Music Awards. She is also a 2016 Semi Finalist for the International Songwriting Competition. Laineys songs "Can't Refuse" and "Even If" have been featured in the Berklee Singer/Songwriter Showcase '14 and an independent film from Harvard University. As a performing artist, Lainey has been invited to play at famed music venues such as The Strand, regional festivals such as The Big E, PVDFest and the Newport Film Festival, private events & benefit concerts, and over 60 venues in Rhode Island. Her band toured the East Coast in the summer of 2017 debuting new material along with her EP. Originally from Smithfield, RI, she has been studying the piano since the age of six, and along the way, has picked up several other instruments including violin, ukulele, harmonica, mandolin, dulcimer, cajon, and guitar. Lainey provides private lessons of vocals and the instruments she plays at True Music Studios.

She graduated Magna Cum Laude from Berklee College of Music in 2015, receiving her Bachelor's Degree in Music Business with a minor in Music Production and Engineering. While attending, she had the pleasure of learning from industry professionals such as Grammy Award winning producer, Jason Stokes and Grammy-nominated hit songwriter, producer, and Warner Brothers Records executive, Kara DioGuardi. She was also accepted into Warner/Chappell Publishing Group executive, Judy Stakee's Songwriting Retreat in France and is currently working with a team in Nashville for her sophomore album. Lainey's music is inspired by the lyrics and compositions of Gabrielle Aplin, Vance Joy, and The Lumineers. From her notable education and musical inspirations, Lainey has acquired her own unique sense of artistry.

Reggae singer Anthony B was born Keith Blair in Clarks Town, Jamaica; after performing with church and school choirs throughout his youth, he made his debut as a DJ with the local sound system Shaggy Hi-Power. Relocating to Portmore in 1988, he befriended fellow aspiring DJs including Determine, Mega Banton, and Ricky General, issuing his debut single "The Living Is Hard" in 1993. Teaming with producer Richard "Bello" Bell, Anthony B notched a series of hits including "Repentance Time," "Fire pon Rome," "Rumour," and "Raid di Barn" before releasing his first full-length effort, Real Revolutionary, in 1996. Universal Struggle followed in 1997, with the single "Nah Vote Again" viewed as a key factor in preserving peace at the national elections later that year. Falling, at its essence is about a yearning for connection. Over the past year we have all felt disconnection; from loved ones, from nature. Written in 2020, during pandemic lockdowns Falling is my attempt to convey and counteract this sense of isolation. In order to do this I’ve incorporated natural elements into the sound design such as rain, sand, wind and even a fire crackling.

The track falling is heavy based around the piano in juxtaposition to the with super wide electronic saws synths and melodic bass throbs. I felt it was the perfect way to express such emotion, with a ’cinematic’ vastness; I wanted the listener to feel like they were floating in space euphorically.

Andi may be new on the scene but she's no rookie. Singing from the age of 6 and writing songs since 11, Andi has recently garnered nearly 1 million new Tik Tok followers since the start of the year and independently added 100,000 Spotify followers. At only 19, she has several anthemic pop smashes under her belt and is back with another hit.

Having moved to LA at 16, I was exposed to a very toxic culture surrounding fake wealth, clout etc… As a young artist, it’s very easy to get caught up in the mix of it. Money was incredibly fun to make; it’s pretty much a diss track to the people who think they’re better than you due to their social status.

Andi's young start with music and performance is the foundation of her connection with her rapidly growing fanbase. Not only did she go the more typical route of theater camp, but rather than cover her favorite songs, she wrote parodies of them. With his long-awaited Language LP finally set to drop in October, Vocab Slick ramps up the hype for the project with the stylish new video for “What It Is.”

The track finds the Bay Area emcee teaming up with frequent collaborators Surebert, who provides the grimy, bass-driven production, as well as Starski, who’s on directorial duties in the visuals. The clip centers mostly on Vocab as he talks his sh*t to the camera in a number of different, dimly lit settings, with visual effects provided by BREEDSWORLD.

It’s a fitting setup for “What It Is,” primarily because the track itself does lean into the slightly darker side of the rapper’s mindset. With good reason, of course, because he’s clearly tired of all the BS, like other people trying to weigh him down with their unfounded opinions and criticisms. It’s just too bad for them that he’s too focused and well-equipped with lines like, “Truth is, I’m ruthless/ And known for overdoing anything I ever thought was worth pursuing/ Y’all foolish and clueless/ Prone to being stupid to ever think I’m nothing but superhuman, a mutant.”
