Ari Abdul – Taste

“The quickly rising artist "Ari Abdul" has dropped her luring single and seems impossible to resist. Ghostly vocals which pull like strong magnet and sound rich in Electro, Gothic influences. Thumbs up for that distorted guitar solo too!”

-Nagamag.com

At only 20 years old, Ari Abdul is building a dedicated fanbase thanks to supplementing her killer tunes with an honest and personal relationship with her fans. Her debut single "BABYDOLL (Speed)" has amassed 10 M global streams and is on the brink of global virality with nearly 100K video creations to date.

Now she is working on new music and after sharing a snippet on TikTok, the fan demand for “Taste” was undeniable.

"Taste" resides on a foundation built by a chugging bass line and Ari's smoky vocals. Heavily reverbed guitars creates a wall of sound that adds a surreal quality to the chorus. "Taste" is a perfect example of modern pop-production and haunting shoegaze. This dreamy track hangs in the air like a humid night you don't really want to end.

"This is a vampire love story," says Ari, which is seen in the elements of the tomb-like press photo, the darkly shiny guitar distortions and Ari's echoing seductive vocals that draw you in with their sweetness before taking a bite. "Taste" would fit in perfectly on The Lost Boys soundtrack and I am here. for. it.

She combines the reverb-heavy swells of your favorite shoegaze artist with the likes of The Neighborhood and Lana Del Rey. Combining an array of visual and stylistic influences, Ari has cultivated a mysterious edge to her artistic endeavors.

With only 2 records out so far, Ari has already garnered over 15 million global streams to date. But with the momentum she's been building, it will be best to keep your ears open for Ari Abdul.

What do you think of "Taste?" This is out now! Let me know if you're interested in setting up a feature or interview!
