“Dedicated to the famous painter, “Van Gogh” mainly consists of melancholic piano melodies. On the other hand it creates a mysterious feeling of hope, coming from a peaceful, calm sound environment. Another relaxing Neoclassical flower.”

The piece is a tribute to the tormented personality of the great Dutch artist, as brilliant as he was misunderstood in life.

Myyora – Feel (Spotify)

Categories: Audio, Pop, The Latest|Tags: , , , , |

“Light and happy single with Indie R&B mood and etherial percussion elements. Feel the difference in music with "Myyora" and her silvery voice that pulls you like strong magnet in just less than three-minutes' time.”

-Nagamag.com

Myyora said about her inspiration for this song: "Feel is basically one of my post-it notes. It's what i need to hear non-stop. I wrote it to remind myself not to bottle up all the negative feelings, to leave them behind and to aim for complete freedom. It's a song about knowing that you have to let yourself feel and heal in order to glow.

For the sound i wanted to recreate something that i would feel deep down in my soul, a sound that would make me want to move with joy. A feeling of freedom. "

Zachary Greer, Pallmer – Final Breath (Spotify)

Categories: Audio, Neoclassical, The Latest|Tags: , , , , , |

“Simple and influensive Cinematic beauty, based on acoustic chords and some quite artistic singing. "Final Breath" has the power to stimulate the mind and affect our mood. The cooperative work which you cannot easily skip!”

-Nagamag.com

“Final Breath” hails from The Duel, a striking instrumental album memorializing the two hundredth anniversary of New Brunswick (Canada)’s last fatal duel.

“On the surface, ‘Final Breath’ is about George Wetmore and George Street’s emotional journey leading up to the events of the last fatal duel in New Brunswick,” said Zachary Greer (he/him) on the eve of the October 2 anniversary. “However, the themes of their characters are so current. The experience of carrying guilt and regret, and the potential to succumb to ‘darkness’ when under extreme emotional pressure are timeless tropes of the human condition. I also found that the immense significance put on reputation, which was the main reason Wetmore challenged Street, resonated so well with our current society and its relationship with social media.”

Recorded at Fredericton’s The Recordery with Brad Perry and Evan Hansen, the LP features contributions from Fredericton string duo Pallmer and violinist Ali Johnson.

“Pallmer has an intimate and raw sound, which is exactly what I wanted for this story,” said Greer. “I wanted raw and gritty textures, but there’s also beauty, representing the complicated lives of these characters. Some of the tracks were basically written in the studio, and then I structured them around the improvised takes we did. I envisioned this single in the story as a local group in 1821s New Maryland, playing this song in a little tavern just after the duel occured.”

Inspired by how Beethoven would write incidental music like the “Egmont Overture” or the “Coriolan Overture,” which were both based on plays, Greer’s album unfolds chronologically with the events of the duel, as outlined in a companion digital booklet.

“This story that took place just outside of Fredericton is so surreal, and people don’t realize what kind of history we have here in New Brunswick,” Greer said. “To make a film or television production of it would require a crazy budget and resources, so I felt this was a great opportunity to bring it to life with an instrumental album.”

“Lounge track with characteristic percussion and surprising flow of sound. The artist has added his own expression here, combining instrumental with synth samples in a mix which can quickly take away all the tension of a busy day.”

easing is Noti’s first instrumental solo-production. The recent lockdown afforded the highly sought-after songwriter and instrumentalist an opportunity to craft this production at his home studio. The 5-song EP showcases Noti’s wide-ranging abilities as a songwriter and musician, and draws on his rich experience as a fixture in the Swiss scene. Noti’s diverse influences, unified by his distinct, original style, shine through on lead single “85km/h”; an ode to poised motion, the track pulsates, subtly speeds up and slows down but remains ultimately unstoppable - much like the artist himself.

Zenon Marko – Descent 2 (Video)

Categories: Electronica, The Latest, Video|Tags: , , |

“The well-known “Zenon Marko” is here with the second part of his unique “Descent”. Rich electronic soundscapes, traveled us in another dimension. Pads and soothing melodies, which are able to heal every wounded soul. Discover the perfect sound harmony via this proffesional creation!”

-Nagamag.com

“Descent 2” is the penultimate composition on the symmetrical album “Symmetry”…The most melancholy music on the album, expressing the sense of loss, in the inevitable return from the heights and perfection of that elevation. This track was recently featured on the influential “Hearts of Space” radio show.

Symmetry is the musically symmetrical soundtrack of a journey, whether physical, intellectual, imaginative, emotional, philosophical, psychological, or spiritual. The music expresses progressive ascent towards a goal, arrival at an apex, descent, and return.

The structure of the composition reflects and embodies philosophy, mathematics, sacred geometry, harmony and dissonance, and psychoacoustics. This electronic arrangement of the composition is inspired by early, baroque, classical and neoclassical music, as well as electronic music and minimalism. The entire album is musically symmetrical, with the “Descents” as compositional reverses of the “Ascents”.

clear eyes – everything i’m missing (ft. Marian Hill) (Video)

Categories: Pop, The Latest, Video|Tags: , , |

“Full of creativity Chillstep creation, just out from “Clear eyes”. We really enjoyed the synth sound layering, in a low bpm mix with remarkable clarity. Also the soft voice of Marian raises the overall production level even higher.”

-Nagamag.com

clear eyes is the passion project of of producer Jeremy Lloyd, the non-vocal half of Marian Hill. Delving deeper into electronic layering and palettes, the clear eyes project is a way for Lloyd to tap into a different mood, making music with beauty as its first priority and conjuring feelings of serenity and peace.

Still in recovery from a traumatic injury to both his wrists that rendered him unable to make music for 4 months, Jeremy is positively overflowing with creativity and has executive produced 3 albums that will all release this year (Marian Hill, Reo Cragun, and Clear eyes). “everything i’m missing” features the always-crystalline vocal stylings of his Marian Hill partner, Samantha Gongol. The first adjective that comes to mind with this track is “breezy”. From the sampled acoustic guitar plucks to Samantha’s vocals, there’s an unassuming swagger that is only compounded by simple beats that know exactly what their duty is.

As Lloyd puts it, “As a producer, you always have so many ideas that never make it to a release.” clear eyes is his opportunity to finally bring those sounds to our ears.

With all these song ideas now taking fruition, clear eyes is releasing an album that is filled to the brim with features. Feeling for Two includes features from a diverse array of artists — Fifth Harmony’s Lauren Jauregui, T.H.E.Y.’s Drew Love, indie-pop duo Slenderbodies, Bay-area rapper Rexx Life Raj, pop crooner Ayelle, frequent Flume-collaborator Reo Cragun, Lorem-favorite Nolie, electronic producers Tennyson and Lophiile, up and coming songwriter Roísin Marie, and of course, longtime collaborator Samantha Gongol of Marian Hill.

“I love the idea that I can have a session with any artist, from any genre, and come away with a song that feels like them and also feels like me. It’s about the balance of creating a unique sonic world where there’s still room for everyone. ”

Libertad (Main Theme) | Far Cry 6 (Original Game Soundtrack) | Pedro Bromfman (Video)

Categories: Neoclassical, The Latest, Video|Tags: , , |

“Whether you’re a fan of Cinematic music or not, some productions can prove quite impressive. “Libertad” is surely one of them. Exceptionally built electronic track, with plenty of synth layers that form an addictive atmosphere from where we couldn’t escape!”

-Nagamag.com

For the new entry in the long-running Far Cry series, Brazilian composer Pedro Bromfman— known for his work on Narcos and Robocop — creates music that is drenched in lush soundscapes, driving percussion, processed organic instruments and a ton of synthesizers. The game takes place in the Caribbean island of Yara, and the music reflects its surroundings with roots in traditional Latin American and Caribbean music, while being completely free to experiment with contemporary sounds, elements and techniques.

Today “Libertad”, marked by a layered build of guitars and thick atmosphere, makes its way into the world as well. A theme Bromfman created for Yara’s revolution, it’s part of a greater body of work marked by expanding synths wrapped around dark-cloaked strings with a distinct pulse.

“We needed a powerful melody, full of beauty and longing like the island itself, that could also encompass the grit, darkness and pain of a bloody war,” he describes. “With heavy percussion and electric guitar, it quickly builds and explodes into an anthem for Yara’s, young and old, fighting for their freedom.”

Bromfman’s score for Far Cry 6 has a clear artistic vision, with distinctive, haunting melodies and character themes, fully immersing the listener. He calls it “a journey full of beauty, violence, adrenaline and passion,” and it’s hard to disagree with those descriptions once the entirety of the score is taken in.

The Far Cry 6 (Original Game Soundtrack) is out today, with the expanded Far Cry 6: Complete Music (Original Game Soundtrack) out 10/21 via Ubisoft Music.
