Categories: Pop, The Latest, Video|Tags: , , , |

“Have you ever felt trapped in a dead end? Do you need to escape from something bad and looking for a Sign from God? So here it is! Good sound, expressive lyrics and an artistic video clip too.”

-Nagamag.com

‘Sign From God’ by March & June and Andrada brings back the ‘80s soulful electro-pop with a hypnotic mood and tells the story of a wandering soul seeking for answers. Sometimes when the world feels too heavy and we feel trapped inside our own mind, we desperately look for a way out, a way to escape reality and all the chaos that comes with it. Most days, all we really need is a sign…a sign to know that everything will be alright and that there is light at the end of the tunnel. The lyrics were written by the Billboard charting artist, Andrada and the song was mastered by multi award winning engineer, Alex Psaroudakis and produced by March & June who performs as a producer and songwriter.

March & June is a new music project which combines different energies and vibes.

Behind March and June there is one artist who performs as a producer, songwriter and mix engineer. Born in June, his personality traits are deeply reflected in his music. Duality, moods, feelings, all these can be felt in his music. He’s not aiming to show off using his real name, yet only to assemble his emotions and life experiences. Music is the main character, not himself as an individual.

Throughout the years, he has produced a lot of tracks for many artists all over the world.

He has perfected his craft during the last 15 years, collecting under his belt no less than 3 No 1 tracks and numerous top 10 and top 45 records.

Many of his successful records are the result of collaborations with Grammy winning producers and engineers such as Tom Coyne, Chris Gehringer, Alex Psaroudakis and Luca Pretolesi. Working in Germany, Sweeden, Canada, UK and Eastern Europe got him record deals with Sony Music, Universal, and BMG and other big music labels. As of now, he is a prolific R’n’B, Trap, Neo Soul, Pop, Dance, Garage, Funk, Deep House and Disco music producer.

All the music he’s ever listened to has influenced him in one way or another, especially the 80s and 90s sound.

Taught by his father how to play the drums at the age of 7, he fell in love with this instrument. In a chaotic world, he is constantly looking for a warm sound which comes from the positive as well as peaceful places and people. He’s also looking for freedom and mood. The perfect mood.

The pop music influence can be felt when collaborating with other artists from this genre.

March and June project will be shared with the voices that he genuinely loves, not aiming for the spotlights.

Joshua Carlton – Swallowed by the Sea (Video)

Categories: Neoclassical, The Latest, Video|Tags: , , , , |

“Imagine the infinity of the sea and realize how small we are in front of the whole creation. Speechless feelings emerge from the unconcious when listening to this unique track.”

-Nagamag.com

This song was written to reflect the feeling of descending into madness and being swallowed entirely from the darkness. This is a feeling that has stuck with me since I had ICU delirium caused by an infection in my neck after surgery. It’s difficult to write and share this with everyone but it is also sort of cathartic. I really appreciate you watching and listening.

https://www.instagram.com/Joshuacarltonofficial

Oregon instrumentalist Joshua Carlton toured the world with post rock band This Patch of Sky for the last decade. This lead him to compose music for television and film such as ‘Brand, a Second Coming’ (a documentary film on actor Russell Brand and his battle with drug addiction), and the Vice channel. He has also been featured in the McDonald’s Ramadan commercial, as well as large brands such as Petco. Joshua’s excited to share his new solo project. “This is an album that I absolutely had to write” he says of 2021 debut ‘Moonlight Under the Black Flag’. Joshua was diagnosed with esophageal cancer in February of 2020 and found solace in purging his emotions through the music he was composing. “This music is truly my heart, and I hope you enjoy listening to it as much as I enjoyed creating it”.

Hypnotic Peafowl – The Mind Box (Spotify)

“One more special track from Hypnotic Peafowl & Bendja in slow bpm and Psydub style. Clear synthesis and prototype sounds, which prove the great experience of these artists.”

-Nagamag.com

Hypnotic Peafowl breathes new life into his experiments and explores different soundscapes with a quality sound design. Always in a work of advanced hybridization, he brilliantly mixes his multiple influences: orchestral music, jazz, funk, bass music. In this opus, some sweet piano bar melodies and retro inserts with stoner rock influences, dominated by hypnotic, repetitive rhythms, accompanied by a very heavy bass with a warm envelope.

This album is part of a long narrative, all my releases are built around a central character : the peacock and his spirit. The metaphor for imaging his spirit is the Pandora's box.

Quickly it is the story of a colorful peacock who is schizophrenic with all the other worries that arise from such a pathology.

Beautiful to look at, full of life and energy. A funk/Jazz fan, he exudes the joy of life. But not that, the black sides are there.

All of my past and future releases are in the form of chapters that tell a passage of the Peacock's life. Here: Pandora's box or Logorrhia tells the impression of feeling better after a first meeting before the awareness and the psychic fall.

Breeze Brewin’ & Juggaknots – King Oxymoron (Video)

Categories: Hip-Hop, The Latest, Video|Tags: , , , , |

“Breeze Brewin’ & Juggaknots shocase us their new song: King Oxymoron.
As Greek blog been familiar with the word Oxymoron, a figure of speech that has two contradictory or opposite words appearing side by side. … So, the origin of the word “oxymoron” is from the Greek for “oxy” and “moron”, which means sharp and dull. “Dull” is the opposite of “sharp”. Here the artists blend the qualities of old scholl rap we have miss a lot these days with up to date freshness. A Hip Hop tacks which stands out with his diversity!”

-Nagamag.com

Acclaimed NYC artist Breeze Brewin gives a crash course in lyrical linguistics on his brand-new banger, “King Oxymoron,” featuring neck-breaking production from Marco Polo.

With his much-anticipated solo debut album, Hindsight, out today, Breeze introduces the project with one of his most incredibly written tracks ever. And that’s saying a lot for someone with a long list of underground classics to his name as part of the Juggaknots and as a collaborator (see Prince Paul’s timeless A Prince Among Thieves).

But even as he’s stayed relatively quiet over the past few years, Breeze has dedicated himself to his pen game and also introducing others to the possibilities of wordplay as an English teacher. And on “King Oxymoron,” he flaunts his language mastery by celebrating the oxymoron itself.

“With some slight pronunciation adjustments, I felt as if I had something powerful, formidable and appropriate with consideration of the slickness that the term could represent, in my opinion,” he says. “With that I wanted to point out terms, not traditionally oxymoronic, but definitely oxymoronic, when considering societal dynamics.”

The end result is something you need to hear for yourself, especially with Marco Polo’s infectious production as the backdrop. “King Oxymoron” can be heard now, along with Breeze’s official debut album, Hindsight, through your preferred digital retailer or streaming platform. CD and vinyl copies of the LP will soon be available for pre-order through Breeze’s own Matic Records imprint via Fat Beats Records.

https://smarturl.it/HindsightLP

Breeze Brewin’s history in hip-hop runs as deep as his incredible skill set. There are levels upon levels to his talents, whether he’s penning mind-bending lyrics or crafting head-nodding instrumentals. And over the past 25 years, he’s proven his skills as a member of the Juggaknots and the Indelible MC’s, and as a collaborator on classics including Prince Paul’s A Prince Among Thieves. And with the release of Hindsight, the NYC artist steps out on his own with a thrilling solo album packed with highlights that show off just how gifted he truly is.

“The creation of these songs was often my therapy, and it starts with ‘Gotta Love It,’” Breeze says of writing and recording the album. “For a time, I either couldn’t or just didn’t love it. It was that moment, in a studio with producer Sebb Bash, that I thought: f*ck it, I’m gonna do this sh*t.”

Hindsight captures the magic of what happens when an artist sticks with what they love and shares it with the rest of the world. The 13 tracks epitomize why Breeze has been such an essential voice since he entered the scene. He delivers tack-sharp criticisms of former president Donald Trump (“Devil’s Advocate”) and the music industry (“The Application”), talks his sh*t like only he can do (“Translate It”), and gets deeply personal about friendships (“The Uninvited”) and being a teacher as a person of color (“Taking Notes”). And then there’s a track like “King Oxymoron” that is simply a whirlwind of wordplay.

With this record, Breeze is proving to himself that he can confidently, and ably, work on his own, which was a major sea change for someone who for years collaborated closely with others. “I was at times scared to proceed alone, especially considering the greatness of those I had worked with,” he says. “But it worked out. It’s OK to work with others, and it’s damn sure OK to shut the world out and work with and on yourself.”

It’s with those words—and the music itself—that Hindsight feels like a celebration, not just of a long-awaited solo debut, but of great hip-hop in general. The album is available now through all digital retailers and streaming platforms through Breeze’s own Matic Records imprint via Fat Beats Records with CD and vinyl copies of the LP due out for pre-order shortly.
