Pulse Review: “STRIVE” by Demetria | What Pop meant to be

Music Review:

Press Release – About Song:

“STRIVE” is an energetic indie pop track wrapped in a playful fantasy aesthetic, exploring the inner battle between adulthood and the parts of ourselves we try to silence as we grow up. Through bright, uplifting production and whimsical, fairytale-like textures, the song contrasts its happy sonic palette with a deeper existential theme: the struggle to protect childlike sensitivity, empathy and authenticity in a world that feels increasingly artificial. In the music video, this inner conflict is visualized as a cartoonish thief — a symbolic figure trying to “steal” the protagonist’s innocence and reshape her identity. Dynamic, imaginative and emotionally layered, “STRIVE” fits indie pop, alt pop, feel-good-with-depth and fantasy-inspired playlists.
