Based on Green & Granstrom’s true story, “Stranger With My Face” tells the story about two brothers meeting for the first time after their father passed away. Growing up with different mothers, one brother knew he had ahalf-brother on his father’s side. However, he never took the initiative to contact them and never got to meet his father before he died. The other brother grew up with their father and his mother, but never learned about the brother while their father was still alive.My own story also includes both a half-sister and a half-sister on my father’s side, but the story was simplified for the song. The music is written by Omri Lahav, whose writing credits include the soundtracks for the documentary “Quiet Explosions” and the short film “Over My Dead Body”, which were long-listed for Best Original Score for this year’s Oscars and nominated for an Emmy, respectively, as well as featured in the Cannes Festival last month.
