“На мгновение забудьте обо всём, что беспокоит, кто вы и где находитесь в эту минуту. Просто послушайте этот фантастический вокал, качественную аранжировку и целостность микса. Почувствуйте освобождение, свободу и энергию. В эту самую секунду есть только вы и музыка!”

Artist said few words about this song"

"“To me, New Life is an emotional, colourful and multifaceted song. I wanted to sing about a past relationship that left one too many scars, but also about the re-opening of the world after countless lockdowns in many ways feels like a 'New Life'. For both those sentiments, the chorus needed to feel hopeful and anthemic, something we could all dance to at live shows (now we're allowed to!)” "

“Prepare to get hypnotized for almost three minutes. This melody, lyrics and vocals can fully master you. It is almost impossible to move and your thought absorbed by the sound. These very strong feelings overtake you from all sides when you are influenced by this composition!”

“Почти три минуты ты находишься в оцепенение. Мелодия, вокал и текст полностью овладевают тобой. Двигаться практически невозможно, все движения скованны невидимой цепью. Это яркие и очень мощные чувства, которые обступают тебя со всех сторон, когда ты находишься во власти этой композиции!”

Sophia Bavishi shared few words with Nagamag about her new song and her project:

"Do you ever feel like time is pressing up against you? That you’re trying to grab onto it, to hold on tight, but it just keeps slipping through your fingers? That once it’s gone, everything will change? Then this song should hit just right. Inspired by my parents moving out of state right after I graduated high school, and basically my entire world changing, this is a melodically intriguing ballad for those needing to feel not so alone..."

The dream is to go back. The nightmare is that we never can.

During quarantine, I had to make a trip to the grocery store. I met an elderly man
who struck up a conversation with me. We almost seemed to be kindred spirits.
He began the conversation with “Life is hard when you outlive all the ones
you love.”

https://www.facebook.com/NathanielPaulHoff

It seemed like a bit of a quick start to a conversation, but I could tell he
just needed someone to talk to. After talking for a while, I felt this sense that he had
that the world at large had forgotten about him. But, he had created a plan to travel
the world on a train he had read about. He could work on the train and it would
take him across the world. He was amidst planning his way out.

“songbird” was a direct inspiration from that moment. This idea of life after all that you
love and care for is gone. His story resonated with me in the way that I feel from COVID
taking away so many small businesses – so many dreams from all of us.

But what do we do now? Where do we go from here?

“songbird” hopes to take you to a place of hope amidst a looming dark shadow cast over the world.

“One can endlessly talk about the phenomenality of the vocalist's voice over a cup of warm tea - this is a real diamond within its genre. Combined with a pleasant melody, it gives a stunning impact!”

“О феноменальности голоса вокалистки можно бесконечно рассуждать за чашечкой тёплого чая, – это настоящий бриллиант в рамках своего жанра. В совокупности с приятной мелодией даёт ошеломительный эффект воздействия!”

Artist shared few words behind her inspiration about this song:

I remember, I started writing this song at the age of 13. Although I was never really able to finish it until the start of last year (2020).

Writing this song, I basically had to imagine what it was like to be in love, the ups n downs you’ll go through, the butterflies you’d feel and the person you would never want to be away from. And that’s probably how I viewed love back then not really knowing what it was like. Throughout the years I started switching up the lyrics into what I really think love is like and how I truly feel about it. And that’s when I realized there isn’t much to change at all. That’s because it was exactly how I imagined it to be at the start.

It’s still unreal to me to say that “I” is officially out and I have to say that this first single, would never have happened if it wasn’t for the people that have always been beside me no matter how difficult situations get. Especially during this chaotic pandemic.

There were always times where I felt like it would never work out and kept doubting but I have to thank everyone who has believed in me throughout the process. This single would never have happened without this much love and support, I really do appreciate. - Kiera Selbe

James Blake – Life Is Not The Same (Official Lyric Video) (Video)

Categories: Pop, The Latest, Video|Tags: , , , , |

“-Life Is Not The Same- one of those compositions that you just need to feel with all your gut. The amazing process of expressing the feelings and emotions of the author with the help of instruments and vocals. Unique rhythm and almost extraterrestrial melody. When the music speaks more than words.”

“-Life Is Not The Same- из тех композиций, которую нужно просто почувствовать всем своим нутром. Удивительный процесс излияния чувств и эмоций автора с помощью инструментов и голоса. Необычный ритм и практически внеземная мелодия. -Life Is Not The Same- тот самый случай, когда музыка всё скажет сама за себя.”

Today, Mercury Music Prize and GRAMMY® Award winning UK singer, songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, and producer James Blake has released new single “Life Is Not The Same”.

A collaboration with hit producer duo Take A Daytrip , (who notably co-produced the Lil Nas X & Jack Harlow track, “Industry Baby,” with Kanye West), “Life Is Not The Same” is the second track to be lifted from James’ forthcoming fifth studio album, Friends That Break Your Heart (out 10th September 2021).

Showing the scope that his body of work will span, “Life Is Not The Same” gives a larger view of what’s to come on the album. Featuring introspective lyrics and a dreamlike melody, the track proves Blake’s masterful range and bold vulnerability. It follows the album’s critically acclaimed first single, “Say What You Will” – which saw The Fader laud Blake for “locking into fragile melodies and bold compositional swings with ease”. The accompanying official music video was directed by Bear Damen and features a guest appearance from Finneas.

Friends That Break Your Heart follows the Covers EP – a collection of Blake’s favourite covers, including his cover of Frank Ocean’s “Godspeed” (which generated over 5 million views on TikTok) – and his 2019 released, GRAMMY® nominated album Assume Form which was his highest charting album in both the UK and US to date.

More recently James worked with Dave on his no. 1 second studio album We’re All Alone In This Together and featured on Slowthai’s chart topping album TYRON.

James Blake’s first new full-length album in two years, Friends That Break Your Heart, will feature collaborations from JID & SwaVay, Monica Martin and SZA. James worked closely with British artist Miles Johnston to design a cover reflective of the album. The result is a visual encapsulation of the emotions brought forth throughout the body of work.

JAMES BLAKE’S “LIFE IS NOT THE SAME”, RELEASED VIA POLYDOR RECORDS IN THE UK, IS AVAILABLE ACROSS ALL PLATFORMS NOW:
