Sara Diamond – Lovin’ From You

Categories: Audio, Pop, The Latest|Tags: , , , |

“A smooth, well concocted recipe of R&B and pop for the perfect cocktail of silky vibes with deeply sensual vocals and hooks reminiscent of Janet Jackson’s 90’s airy purrs. Though clocking not much over 3 minutes, the song manages to switch gears and even throw in a pleasantly surprising trap / hip-hop flavored second part.”

Lovin' From You' is about empowerment, love, and letting go of inhibitions. The lyrics to Lovin from You definitely evoke, at least for me, a feeling of sensuality and being totally honest and loud about love.

Quiet Arrows – Love Your Ghost

“A wonderfully deep hitting contemplative piece of contemporary poetic minimalism. Stripped to the essentials, the arrangement blends the hushing, languorous voice of Samuel Robertson (backed superbly by female vocals) with intimate string counterparts for a musical experience meant to be savoured obsessively.”

Quiet Arrows is the project of Samuel Robertson, a wordsmith who sings with a hushed voice on the softly undulating fingerpicking of an acoustic guitar. Teaching himself guitar for the first time at the age of 25, Samuel first began writing songs with his wife Hannah in the singer-songwriter duo The Woodlands, and Quiet Arrows evolved simultaneously. He introduced the project with Continents Were Made to Sink in 2012. Three years later, Year of The Cartographer yielded the fan favorite “Find A Way.” It amassed north of 28.1 million Spotify streams as he moved up popular playlists such as Your Favorite Coffeehouse, Dinner Music, Evening Acoustic, Folk Feast, and more. He maintained this momentum with Deconstructionism Parts 1 & 2, which presented acoustic and alternate takes of tunes throughout the Quiet Arrows catalog. In between working on music for the Woodlands and relocating to McCall, ID, he carefully crafted new Quiet Arrows music. The songs have a signature emotive quality -- poetic lyrics, introspective pondering, lush harmonies, interesting arrangements.

“This one just sounds like an instant classic, wearing its retro badge with pride and honour. A sweet, organic, deep house groover, with the mandatory rowdy bass and cocktail enabling vocal hooks that waste no time luring you on the dancefloor unashamedly. ”

Eline Høyer – Worth to Keep

Categories: Audio, Pop, The Latest|Tags: , , , |

“A new gem is out from "Eline Høyer" and sounds quite unique too. This single reveals the artist's mesmerizing voice and the lyrics are its main part. Calm, expressive and authentic work, balancing between Pop and Folk.”

-Nagamag.com

“Worth To Keep” stands out from the other tracks on this Ep with its minimalistic approach. In a sense it's almost bare like Eline Høyer`s raw and dynamic vocals also refers to, being up most vulnerable by sharing your fears and insecurities while coming to terms with the fact that you are worthy of anything. This track is the most vocal-driven one, almost to the point where it crosses borders from pop to soul music. Further on she's accompanied by drums and bass to give it even more depth and atmosphere for Eline Høyer ́s vocals to shine through with hints of the pop and indie genre throughout the song.

Eline Høyer is a singer songwriter originally from Troms in northern Norway. Høyer moved to the south of Norway at the age of 7 but remains a northerner at heart. Embracing her misplacement, her music is emotional, honest, raw, soft and heart-rending depending on the theme with a voice that captivates and mesmerises. As a singer-songwriter Høyer is inspired by a wide range of different styles embodying the Acoustic pop, soul, indie and folk genres in a single powerful package.

“Here’s a tune that’s a solid nod to old school hip-hop while at the same time managing to stay fresh and forward looking. Bubble bursting, heavy hitting lyrics delivered in an unrelenting, “borderline sociopath” tone over the chillest and illest of beats - so you won’t know if to lay back or frown forward. ”

Joost Laméris – One More Time

Categories: Audio, Pop, The Latest|Tags: , , , |

“‘One More Time’ is a sweet-sounding heartbreak song that leaves any desperation behind and rather puts you in a hot tub with a glass of rosé i next to you. Clean, mellow vocals, a well supporting discreet beat and a melancholical, yet bright tone, come together just nicely to put you in the mood.”

-Nagamag.com

‘One More Time' introduces a series of regular releases by Joost Laméris in 2022. An acoustic version of ‘One More Time’, accompanied by a video, will drop on all streaming platforms in late April. Two more singles are to drop afterwards. By then, listeners have a clear idea of the sound of his debut EP, which will be released afterwards.

‘One More Time’ is a song that draws attention to romanticising the past and future, rather than living in the present-day. “I think nowadays almost everyone struggles to live in the moment. We’re all so consumed with achieving future goals and romanticising the past. With ‘One More Time’, I try to describe that it’s easy to stay in this loop of avoiding the present. It’s a pattern that I personally try to break, and the first step to that is becoming aware of it,” Joost Laméris explains about ‘One More Time’. “I hope that ‘One More Time’ can help listeners feel less alone in difficult times and reassure them knowing that there are many people struggling to let go of past situations.” ‘One More Time’ is written by Joost Laméris alongside Sarah Donkers and Tim de Boer (Twee dB Music).
