Silver is a fresh single from the production of Bratři (yes, the Brothers). The first single after the debut album Two Minds is released on April the 1st and presents the more melodic techno twins Jirka and Ondřej Veselý. Bratři are starting an intense spring, which, in addition to other singles, will offer a number of concerts and will culminate in May concerts in England and Lithuania

The melodic dance track Silver has already proved itself to Bratři during concerts. This was also the impulse to present this track first, as Ondřej Veselý admits: “When we included it in the concert playlist some time ago, it had an immediate response. That's why we've been trying to combine our electronics and energy from playing live now so that it's not boring.” "We put an emphasis on the groove so as to make it work and so that we enjoy it. It is the first spring track from the series of singles that we are going to release now," says Jirka.

Bratři are planning to do a lot of concerts this year. Even on Friday, April 1, when Silver is released, Bratři will visit the Dock club in Ostrava. Then on April 6, a big concert awaits them at Brno's Fléda. Everywhere, listeners can hear a new liveset enriched with a new single and other unreleased tracks. As part of the spring concerts, Bratři will also head to Brighton, England, where they will perform two concerts at the legendary festival The Great Escape. The following weekend is another destination abroad, the EuropaVox festival in Vilnius, Lithuania.

Bratři - TWO MINDS

Techno performed by the Czech duo Bratři finally released on their debut album Two Minds. It’s got the beat, it’s tight and intense. The dance ride of hypnotic beats together with the melodic line creates a harmonious whole. Electronic drums, analog and modular synthesizers are the cornerstones of the music of the twins Jirka and Ondra Veselý.

The techno duo Bratři are a new face on the Czech electronic music scene. Twins Jiří and Ondřej conceived the music project, which oscillates around a combination of catchy electronic dance and techno. The central driving forces are Jiří’s live percussion/drum beats and the melodic motives and sequences created by Ondřej on analogue and modular synthesizers. From September 2019 Bratři took part in various showcases (Nouvelle Prague, BUSH, MENT, ESNS) and after that they appeared among the 16 nominees of prestigious Music Moves Europe Talent Award 2021. They cooperated with renowned producer Hannes Bieger on their debut album Two Minds (9/2021).

‘In Your Eyes’ channels several key elements of some of the most renowned club records of the last decade. Swedish Producer, DJ and Subtractive Recordings label boss Johan S (Johan Strandkvist) started in the late 1990s as part of the legendary DJ collective Swemix that also included the likes of StoneBridge and Dennis PoP, working with numerous house classics from Robin S and Todd Terry, to name a few. Some of his more recent releases have come on a wealth of largely credible House imprints, including Toolroom, Defected, Simma Black, Roger Sanchez’s Undr The Radr and Demuir’s Purveyor Underground.

While feel good house music is the best way to describe the sound of Johan S, he’s no stranger to pop music either. Johan is the producer behind the multimillion-selling singles ‘Crying At The Discoteque’ and ‘Sexual Guarantee’ by Alcazar, and he also takes writing and production credits on Alcazar´s first two albums.

From his humble beginnings as a DJ to co-founding and acting as Editor-In-Chief of the cutting-edge electronic music magazine NocturnalMagazine.net, Toronto native Andy Reid has been at the forefront of house music internationally for more than two decades. Reid’s label Phoenix Music landed an exclusive deal with the US House icon Todd Terry to release carefully curated updates to his iconic catalogue, and now later has amassed millions of streams and a wave of commendable chart successes across Beatport and Traxsource. As a producer, a milestone moment came for Reid when his debut EP ‘That Sound’ was licensed to revered NYC imprint Nervous Records for remix by Mr. V. Since then, Reid has gone on to remix such top tier artists as Todd Terry, The Shapeshifters, David Penn, and Adam K, and collaborate with renowned artists like Hatiras, KPD, HP Vince, and now Johan S.

Born in Argentina, Ana Rossi began her musical training there, playing the piano in municipal and provincial schools. In the study of singing as an instrument, she has been especially interested in the Voice Craft technique, in which she has embedded her own trajectory combined with other visions. She is currently a member of Coetus, UNA, Marcelo Mercadante and his Quinteto Porteño, BREU and Gafieira Miúda, among others.

Ramiro Pinheiro is a subtle and creative acoustic guitarist from Brazil who is also a talented songwriter. He was mostly self-taught at the beginning, learning the guitar by ear before attending the Conservatório Souza Lima in São Paulo. Pinheiro moved to Barcelona (Spain) years ago and he has been an important part of the local music scene ever since, working with a wide variety of jazz and Brazilian musicians.

The story of Ethammili begins on June 10, 2020, with a call between Andrew E.Khalil - the lyricist - and me (Wael). Andrew is a great music lover, he lives in Russia. We talked about relationships: difficulties, ups and downs, and stages. Not only between two or more persons but also between the mind and the soul. Between one and the various "I".

After the call, Andrew wrote to me and sent me the refrain:

Take a step in any direction

All restrictions are there to break

Who has survived in life with fear?

Who amongst us can bear captivation?

It was a clear message for me to break and reconstruct: borders, beliefs, ideas, norms and conventions.

The words echoing in my head absorbed me for weeks. I wrote different melodies and sang them with the oud and the piano to find a satisfying form. For me, two aspects were apparent: the song is in bossa nova style and the precise phrasing of the tune.

In March 2021, I met with Maya in Athens and on the second day I told her: «I have a song that I want to share with you, remind me later, please». We talked about humans and relationships and our various "I", and about music and our favorite artists and musicians until we came to the bass player Björn Meyer. I admire Björn a lot as a musician and as a human being. We listened to his piece “Three Thirteen” and became very inspired.

Maya took the guitar and we started to jam. The words of Ethammili resonated in my mind. We followed the bossa nova irregularly, the chords coming from Maya with a first bassline. I began to sing and soon we started to flow.

We sent Björn a voice message thanking him for his spiritual presence and impulse. We didn't know that he would be part of our journey later on and would collaborate in our project as the mixing and mastering producer.

Maya started the music production on the same day and we almost finished Ethammili. With Maya's music, we reached the essence of the melodies and the rhythms. We kept the bossa nova, but in 7/4, which perfectly reflects this self-talk's sweetness and, at the same time, the insecurity and the doubt. The first part of the song is a soft, irregular, demanding dance. The second part is the march of the rebellion with the screams and calls for freedom and breaking the boundaries; the pasodoble, where flutes and synths support the eternal demonstration: we don't quit!

Ethammili is a song about everyone and for everyone. It's about our struggle, frustration, decisions and liberation. It's our message for our soul and our various “I” - various souls that are ours, and other people’s souls outside, for whom we care about, care for and love.

Ethammili is also about humbleness and acceptance. The song is a dancing battle that has no end and a message to never let the chains of life be in control of your path. The instrument that represents the humbleness is the bass serenading the main melody in a shy and smooth way. The infinite beat and chorus enter like a mantra: never give up on your dreams, no matter your surroundings and live for today. Fight fear, the only thin wall between you and freedom.

Ethamilli is a lullaby and a protest.

It's the resignation and the objection.

It's the eternal quarrel to exist, be, and move on.
