Slow Down is the latest single from Seattle based Chris Sloan, featuring Ben Smith and Andy Stoller of rock and roll hall of fame band Heart, and recorded at the legendary Bear Creek Studios in Woodinville, WA.

The singer-songwriter's music features attention-grabbing, raspy vocals, and his latest single is no exception. On the track, Chris explains the ‘song is a sexy, "easy like Sunday morning" track. I wrote the song because I wanted a sexy, yet playful track on the record’.

Speaking about the single, Chris explains ‘This song is about wanting to slow life down for a day and just enjoy your partner. "Take off all your clothes and climb right back into my bed". Let's forget the responsibilities and the mundane tasks that we fulfill day in and day out. Let's instead ignore those distractions and just enjoy the feel of each other. The song encompasses the need to "slow down" and forget about everything we have been trained to view as "important" or necessary, and just revel in the sensation and palpation of each other's bodies instead. Because THAT is just as important as the day-to-day minuscule tasks, yet we don't allow ourselves to enjoy that enough’.

In his career, Chris has been the lead singer of several bands, including Mercy Parker, Mudsill Widows, and SideDown, performing on stages since he was 18. Chris’s unique voice and polished songwriting capabilities set him as an exciting breakthrough artist whose solo career has the music industry buzzing. His songs stretch across genres from acoustic, indie, pop, and alternative mixed with a bit of rock.

Paul & Pets – Onemanshow (Video)

“When artistry meets talent, great things may happen. Here’s an example of cool, chilling guitar melody decorated with effects and calm vocals. The result is an elegant Lo-fi Pop song, which reveals the creativity of Paul Pfleger.”

-Nagamag.com

Wild days are gone? The Rock’n’Roll circus remains on standby mode?

It may be a sign of the times, as well as a conscious decision; Paul Pfleger had switched from touring with bands like ‘Polkov’ or ‘Stereoface’ to determined studio-solitude just in time before the pandemic started. A fruitful choice for someone who had discovered soliloquy in music as an only child, long before ‘Paul & Pets’ became an outlet to a microcosm that fortunately doesn’t sound lonesome at all. Inspired by ‘Buddy Holly’ and ‘Kraftwerk’, Onemanshow introduces another facet of Paul’s approach towards musical limitation and will be released on February 4 as a second single from an upcoming debut album.

A song and a self-portrait:

As the mist in the music video is starting to clear away, a life size painting suddenly offers an inviting hand; But things don’t seem to be lucid at all when looking through a tropical lens… Is ‘peeping‘ Paul having a fruitful vision? A kiwi-interfaced glimpse into another world?

The song doesn’t really seem to solve any mystery. Instead, it uniquely pays tribute to the art of self-entertainment in times of OnlyFans and Instagram and values intimacy as a private treasure:

“You want everyone to see your beauty and your smile, forget it and just let it be me.“

Rose Ranger – Confession (Spotify)

Hailing from Vancouver's North Shore, Rose Ranger's creative process is inextricably linked with the ocean and mountains that are stone's throw away from her front door. Combined with her love of all musical genres and her utmost appreciation for all the creative arts - the blend creates a dynamic vibrancy in her songwriting process. And that sentiment is a testament to her new music. The lush songs are an ode to self-discovery, and to the subtle-yet-profound moments of life - with the results being unpredictable, vulnerable, strident and sincere. “I was always musical, I didn’t really follow any one type, I absorbed it all. I grew up dancing as a kid: ballet, tap and jazz. And with dancing there is a different style of music for each dance form. With ballet it was classical, tap was mostly Broadway show tunes and jazz dancing had pop and rock. So, I’ve been influenced by a lot of different styles of music and creative art forms.”

“Good friends can be like brothers. They're always there to give their support without asking them. "Daniel Schamroth" is here to remind us this truth. Sings with his guitar, bringing hope and positive thoughts in a quite acceptable way.”

British, Devon born singer-songwriter Daniel Schamroth, releases his new EP ‘Friends & Brothers’.

The stripped back, five-track acoustic project was released Friday (February 4), via So, Let’s Talk. The recording of four tracks took place at Propagation House in Cornwall, with producer James Bragg, whose credits include Sports Team and Jack Steadman, and another track was recorded with Danny Hembrow, in his living room.

Described as "simply incredible" by BBC Introducing South West, Schamroth cites influences such as Ryan Adams and The Beatles, behind his folk infused lo-if indie style.

Schamroth, who is also lead singer of Indie band The Loft Club, has previously supported Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds, and shared the stage with the likes of The Charlatans, and Ben Ottewell from Gomez. His catalogue with The Loft Club, has been streamed over one million times on Spotify alone, and includes co-writes and collaborations with Grammy Award-winning folk singer Lisa Loeb, and two-time Grammy Award winner Pras Michel of the Fugees. The bands single “Flicker,” last year reached Billboard’s Adult Alternative Airplay chart in the US.

The artwork for ‘Friends & Brothers’ was both shot and designed by Alice Schamroth, and taken at Frankfurt's new hotel, Lindley Lindenberg.

Gio Bermejo – NOTE 117 (Video)

Categories: Pop, The Latest, Video|Tags: , , |

“With “Note 117” the artist aims to approach his audience in a simple and direct way. Discover some nostalgic melodies following the soulful spanish vocals in this short journey of love. Elegant Adult Contemporary performance with personal creativity.”

-Nagamag.com

Artist said about this song:

“The song is called NOTE 117, because it is what it is, an audio note that came about after an argument with someone with whom I was starting something.

Although at first I thought that the song was dedicated to that person, over time I understood that the message and meaning of the song speaks of the feeling that we begin to experience when we begin to fall in love, that dopamine, certainly addictive.

My goal was to create a simple theme with a nostalgic air and reminiscent of the love songs of the 50s, simple, simple and direct.”

https://giobermejo.com/

Anto Dust – A Larkin (Spotify)

Categories: Audio, Pop, The Latest|Tags: , , , |

“"Anto Dust" call us in a dreamy and etherial sound experience, which can leave its sign in your mind. Harmonic Dream Pop with perfect arangement and mesmerizing vocals that keep echoing inside the head.”

-Nagamag.com

Anto Dust is the musical venture of Anto Cossu, musician and composer from the Italian island of Sardinia.

After playing solo initially, Anto was joined by Antonio Perry on lead guitar duties and David Roberts on drums.

Based in London, her music received international acclaim from radio and press.

After two years break, due to the pandemic, Anto is back with a new single and a ten-track album in the making.

A Larkin is an ode to her favorite poet but also her favorite man, to whom she sings “you can call me home”. A new brand of pop, less fuzzy and chaotic, cleaner and clearer, to mark an important change in her artistic development with a song to remind us that she is ready to compete for the top spots in the indie-charts.

Beautifully crafted lyrics and ethereal vocals stand tall at the forefront of her compositions and the music, stronger than ever, stands out in the midst of the middle of the road and shallow pop music offer of today.
