Joy Frost – Do What You Love (Video)
“Balance as a source of life, being in a forgotten and immersed in an incredibly malleable and penetrating musical world of -Do What You Love-. It makes a strong impression. Not so much for its charming lyrics as for the overall sound approach.”
“Баланс, как источник жизни, оказавшись в котором забываешься и погружаешься в невероятно тягучий и пронизывающий музыкальный мир композиции -Do What You Love-. Производит очень сильное впечатление. Не столько своей очаровательной лирикой, сколько подходом к звуку в целом.”

Artist said about this song: “This is a song about what it’s really like doing what you love, the good and the bad. It was inspired by carrying my heavy gear everywhere as a busker in Dublin”

Lydia Briggs – Daylight (Video)
“The song -Daylight- is constantly evolving with every minute, revealing to its listeners Lydia’s artistic voice and colour of emotion. All this magic happens in the background and brings incredible atmospheric sound harmony. Amazing feeling of momentary processuality. Hold your breath. Do you listen? Beauty…”
“Песня -Daylight- постоянно развивается, с каждой минутой приоткрывает своему слушателю новые тембры и эмоциональный окрас. Всё это чудо происходит на фоне невероятной и атмосферной гармонии звука. Удивительное ощущение сиюминутной процессуальности. Затаите дыхание. Вы слышите? Красота…”

Artist shared few words behind the inspiration:
” The song is about my personal experiences with a lack of empathy in dangerous situations. When violence happens in broad “Daylight”, where are the helpers? This melodic pop anthem is my way to speak out for those of us who suffer alone.”

Andrei Poliakov – Mermaids in the Moonlight (Video)
“Thoughts and memories deeply hidden in the mind, rise up with this warm Classical piano piece. Nostalgic moments from our past, which come into life from the hands of Andrei Poliakov. A real diamond for our ears and soul, with the moonlight glory of a tranquil night and the company of a special poem is ready out there!”

Artist shared his inspiration behind this track:
“The mermaids are rare and endangered species, they need our care and attention. They love telling old stories from our childhood, and this is what keeps them alive and happy.
Every time someone listens to this mellow piano piece on Spotify, one mermaid tells a story and manages to survive one more night. I am striving to save all the mermaids in the world, and I warmly welcome you to join me in this endeavor.”

Sargeant X Comrade – Beautiful (Video)
“Essentially, a combination of art, music & poetry in a YouTube video format, Sargeant X Comrade, ‘Beautiful’ delivers a soulful & melodic lead vocal over a simple guitar scat chordal pattern, soft percussion that in parts is reminiscent of Jimi Hendrix ‘Little Wing’ There are some interesting vocal harmonies and drop-in’s that really enhance the track.”
-Nagamag.com
Another art video from the Lo fi soul group Sargeant X Comrade. Beautiful is an attempt at conveying the feeling of falling in love through a visual narrative. Taking the “falling” part literal the video blurs the line between reality and fantasy. Reminiscent of a painting done in a contemporary fashion using video techniques instead of the traditional oils and canvas, Beautiful by Sargeant X Comrade combines art, music and poetry into one.

Jesse Royal – Rich Forever featuring Vybz Kartel (Video)
“Melodious work with transitions that can warm the soul. The pleasant voice of -Jesse Royal- awakens some very vivid emotions. Song suitable for romance of a different nature; whether it’s sun-drenched beaches or incandescent ambient street light lamps in front of your favourite window.”
“Мелодичные и согревающие душу музыкальные переходы, приятный голосом -Jesse Royal- дарит в совокупности очень яркие эмоции. Песня подходящая для романтики самого разного характера; будь то залитые солнцем раскалённые пляжи или рассеянный свет уличных фонарей напротив любимого окна.”

Jesse Royal releases the music video for “Rich Forever” featuring dancehall’s self-proclaimed “World Boss” Vybz Kartel. The latest single from his anticipated second album Royal, out June 11, 2021 via Easy Star Records, carries the message that riches do not only reside in physical objects, but in hard work and faith.
https://orcd.co/richforever
Directed by Xtreme Arts, the video portrays Jesse Royal as King Midas, where he turns rags to riches through his touch. Xtreme explains, “We both collectively with Romeich came up with the concept of the Midas touch. Midas touch is simply uplifting someone’s life with a single touch. Everyone deserves to look and feel like they are the best at their job or who they are as a person. We all are rich in some way, not just money but mostly, in love.”
Jesse explains “the song is a conversation about the restoration of our royalty, reclaiming dignity. We must always be our brothers’ keeper and you don’t leave your brother in the mud. You remind your brother of who he is, not who they tell him to be, not who he sometimes might want to be. But who he is! We are all carefully crafted creatures of the universe and there’s nothing that can hold us back. We’re rich forever.”
The video was shot in the hills of Kingston, Jamaica and features cameos from dancehall star Popcaan and reggae contemporary Protoje, who is also featured on “LionOrder” from Jesse’s upcoming album.

Jimkata – Hard Headed (Video)
“High-end and high quality vocal arrangement, undoubtedly go into a plus track such as -Hard Headed-. It creates a special effect of nostalgia, important for each of us, where the last echoes predict that the best days are still ahead.”
“Лидирующий вокал и качественная аранжировка несомненно идут в плюс треку -Hard Headed-. Создаётся особый эффект ностальгии по важным для каждого из нас временам, где отголоски эха прошлого предвещают, что самые лучшие дни ещё впереди.”
-Nagamag.com
New electro-rock trio Jimkata’s latest single “Hard Headed”. The song, which explores themes such as perseverance in the face of adversity, strength, and how sometimes being too stubborn to give up is a good thing, was inspired when the band’s lead singer Even Friedell learned more about soldiers who were drafted away from their loved ones to fight in the Vietnam War. This deeply resonated with him, and after such a challenging year for everyone, Evan states “we’ve all had to make tough choices, have faith and find inner strength to make it through this.”
The song features deep soulful vocals that effortlessly flow over courageous melody backed by their signature analog synths to create a flawless groove.
The visuals were created by lighting designer and visual artist, Greg Ellis and feature the band performing in an analog video giving off a psychedelic 70s retro vibe. The single and accompanying visuals are off of their album Bonfires, set for release this summer.
Jimkata are a three-piece anthemic, synth-washed, electro-rock band based out of Ithaca. With a triumph of swirling analog synths, infectious pop hooks and candid lyrics, Jimkata have built a distinct sound which has been resonating with listeners across the country.
Friends since middle school, Evan Friedell, Aaron Gorsch and Packy Lunn infuse Jimkata, (named after the so-bad-it’s-good 1985 gym-fu caper Gymkata) with both an adventurous musical streak and relatable lyrical themes. Mixed in with the modern synth sensibilities and hard driven indie rock are influences drawn from the likes of Motown, singer-songwriters like James Taylor and even old country songs, where storytelling and a quick turn of phrase share priorities with melody and the beat. Jimkata have concocted an unusually rich and rewarding mix and one that’s evolved naturally.
After taking a two and a half year hiatus following the release of six studio albums and the successful building of a vibrant, grassroots fanbase, Jimkata are preparing to release their next album, Bonfires. The 10 track album is set for release as a series of singles every month with an accompanying visuals and merch line. Thematically, Bonfires touches on poignant themes of uncertainty, being in limbo, and looking for an anchor of hope in these trying times.
Bonfires is set for release summer 2021 worldwide.

Chrystal Für – I’m Losing You (Video)
“When music meets nature, unique artistic results may occur. “Chrystal Fur” delivers an indiscribable Classical beauty… a real candy for piano lovers. This piece has a mysterious touch of melancholy with a bittersweet taste, which cannot leave us unaffected.”
-Nagamag.com
“if you listen closely, you can hear the many influences of the Icelandic present classical music scene, including that of the late Jóhann Jóhannsson, who, through his music, we will never truly lose” – Headphone Commute
Chrystal Für’s upcoming album Elusion (out this Friday 5/28) is an elegy to the cycle of loss, acceptance, and the promise of restored life. Christopher Vibberts’ reflective piano interweaves with droning waves of sound and intermittent shards of static that is equal parts nostalgia and hope. Slow-moving pulses, orchestral flourishes, and ambient ebbs and flows, including an unforgettable 11-minute collaboration with Belgium’s Echo Collective.
The track “I’m Losing You” kicks off release week with a new video, highlighted by evolving piano accompaniment that leads the listener into a subtle, reflective orchestral backdrop.

Elias Kovanko & Julia Andersson – Things That Might Have Been (Video)
“Dominating piano melodies and lyrics of deep meaning are carefully organized in this music masterpiece. Slow tempo, expressive singing voice and profoundly impactful words of emotion. Big respect to the creators of sound and image clip too.”
-Nagamag.com
Things That Might Have Been tells both through its lyrics and arrangement about a relationship that has ended. The main character of the story looks back and reflects about everything that might have been, had the relationship played out in a different way. Things That Might Have Been grabs the attention of the listener with its unique atmosphere and holds you there until it leaves you alone with the emptiness of silence.

“Cute and dreamy Pop song inspired by the pure feeling of love. The sound that brings some fresh air in your mood and can take away all the negative energy. That wonderful feeling, difficult to describe but surely easier to express through sound!”

Will Wallace & Laurel Smith – GIRLS MONEY CARS (Video)
“Will Wallace & Laurel Smith appear with this Electro super track. Ecstatic and dynamic sound. Wicked bass and lead loops mixed with a breathless voice that immediately stimulates your ears.”
-Nagamag.com
LONDON – DJ and producer Will Wallace and singer- songwriter Laurel Smith unleash a dark-pop club anthem and music video for ‘Girls, Money, Cars’.
A phenomenal new release from Preston’s rising new name in music production, Will Wallace emerges with slick sound and visuals, and Laurel Smith brings the kind of bad-B energy you’d look for in North London’s emerging music scene. The pair have been quietly working on a smash dark-pop meets future bass single.
This collaboration is nothing short of perfect, a cocktail of the work of two seemingly disparate artists, surprising their respective fanbases after the successful release of Will’s upbeat electronic hit ‘Greenlight’ and Laurel’s far moodier ‘Out the Cage’ hit the air waves.
Will’s evolving sound proves he can’t be pinned to one genre – ‘Girls, Money, Cars’ is complex, both pop and trap-heavy yet impressively spacey, hypnotic and rounded. Dripping with unapologetic badass attitude, Laurel commands her breathy controlled vocals over sharp, incisive lyrics that she wrote for this track, pointing to the music industry’s subjugation of women that keeps them trapped in a male-gaze public image.
Dark and delicious,‘Girls, Money, Cars’ illuminates the warped, disorienting reality of entertainment, through an ecstatic, highly-produced mix that seriously ups-the-anti on new wave revenge-anthems.
The creative approach in the video is stellar, immediately hooking us with the nostalgic visuals of Y2K house parties, ironically placed over Laurel’s intimidating vocals, only to take an immaculate left-turn into a climaxing bassline from Will. We anticipate Will’s return to the stage with this creative ensemble, after his roster list of shows played pre-lockdown, including the notorious Don’t Let Daddy Know at the O2 Victoria Warehouse. Be ready to hear Will Wallace’s exhilarating drops on this banger across the clubs this summer, and watch Laurel’s dead-pan, covergirl—bound face on your screen in awe.
