An anthem to feel comfortable in your own skin, regardless of your sexuality, your desires, your weight or your body shape.

I think there’s a lot of pressure on people to present themselves in a proper, gentle and socially acceptable way and because of this people often feel the need to hide their sexual diversity and desires. Sometimes only feeling safe to truly express themselves in closeted or underground environments, even when there’s a risk of being “discovered” and shamed.

For me, being assertive when you’re a woman is often misconstrued as being bossy or bitchy and talking about sex or showing off your body opens the door to having your morals criticized.

I wrote Vixen as a way to shed my own fears around my body and my sexuality. People sexualize me all the time, it’s my body so why can’t I do the same?

I’ve come to a place where I no longer want to refine myself into less than I am just to make other people feel more comfortable. As long as you aren’t hurting anyone there’s no reason to be ashamed of who you want to be.

I think it’s important to feel empowered and confident in your skin, manifest good things for yourself, communicate what you need and want, to always maintain personal boundaries, have safe sex, it’s your body and your happiness.

Life is too short not to take what you want from it.

LYRICS:

Come on come on come on

Come on come on come on

Catch me by the lips

Like smoke I’ll slip

Through your finger tips

Cheated once again

You’ll say it ain’t fair

Leave you in decay

When I’m not around

To keep ‘those’ thoughts at bay

You’ll question where I am

And who I’m with

Baby I’m a vixen

Drink you dry until I get my fix in

I don’t need a reason

To get what I want

I get it get it

Come on

I get it get it

Come on

Lilac in my cup

Make it overflow

Until I’ve had enough

I make the rules

Don’t you break ‘em

(don’t yah don’t yah don’t yah baby)

Beauty’s in the eye

Of the beholder

But I have many a shoulder

To bite on

If I don’t have you

Baby I’m a vixen

Drink you dry until I get my fix in

I don’t need a reason

To get what I want

Come on

I get it get it

Come on

I get it get it

Come on

I get it get it

Come on

Na na nah na nana na na nah

Na na nah na nana na nana

Unchained, Unashamed

It’s crazy how good confidence tastes

Get a little rowdy

Or get out of my way

Get out of my way

Get out of my way

Baby I’m a vixen

Drink you dry until I get my fix in

I don’t need a reason

Woa I don’t I don’t I don’t I don’t

I’m a vixen baby

Drink you dry until I get my fix in baby

Yea

I get it get it

Come on

I get it get it

Come on

I get it get it

Come on

I get what I want

I get what I want

“"Shot a friend" is the ultimate dancing anthem from a passionate artist. We really enjoyed that silvery voice and catchy Electro Pop loops. Fat beat, spacious effects and elusive pads also build the ideal background sound. Highly recommended work.”

-Nagamag.com

“Shot A Friend” came out completely out of nowhere on a rainy day in the studio. Because it was so sudden, I don’t think any of us thought of a storyline, we simply let the inspiration guide us through all sorts of deep feelings such as betrayal, guilt, love, pain, forgiveness, obsession and everything in between. As per usual, I got some inspiration from all my personal experiences, you guys know I do that a lot in my songs.

It’s about how you can fall in love so deeply and unexpectedly that you’re not able to realize that the one you fell in love with is your best friend’s lover.

I’m glad to be able to express my feelings in a different way and this is what “Shot A Friend” gave me: the opportunity to have a different mood on my music, to unleash Maria out of Holy Molly and to let her talk on this song. So here it is, enjoy!

She had her first video at the age 13, becoming a pop sensation in her country. Her strong collaborations with LIZOT, Alex Parker, Cosmo & Skoro and Shanguy, made her music included in significant Spotify playlists, Main Stage, SLAP !, Dance Bandeau, Bangers, Power Hour. “Twinkle Twinkle”, had amazing performances in Poland, airplaying in both major radios and musical TV channels. Moreover, the track peaked at #27 in Top 200 Romania, entered EDM DANCE TOP 100 on Deezer and TikTok Dance 2021 on Apple Music. While doing her own songwriting, she compliments her sensual and feminin voice. Keep close as there are more surprises coming your way from Holy Molly!

The album was recorded with a line up primarily of piano, strings, synthesizers and bass along with select guest appearances including Gene Back on Violin and the Hi-Lo Singers on vocals on the beautifully stripped back choral track ‘Outpour’.

It was the door to me starting the album and that humming became album opener and first single ‘Come With Me’. It was an invitation for me to start writing, and an invitation to others to come with me on the journey of the rest of the album.

“MIBIAL is a love letter to home. The fondness, pining, sadness and hope that came with all the emotions stirred up by the pandemic. In recent years, at times it feels like we’re living in a movie and there is definitely a cinematic feel to the soundscape of MIBIAL.”

“There are compositions that act as a clock bomb. It worths listening to them. Your pulse becomes faster, any clouds over your head are vanishing, the legs ask for a dance and then a stunning explosion happens! Bright and very positive jazz improvisation, which instantly trembles not only the spirit, but also the body.”

“Есть композиции, которые выступают в роли часовой бомбы. Стоит только начать их слушать, пульс учащается, тучи над головой расступаются, ноги сами просятся в пляс и потом раздаётся оглушающий взрыв! Яркая и очень позитивная джазовая импровизация, которая моментально взбодрит не только дух, но и тело! ”

From Paul Metcalfe of the Heavyweights Brass Band:

Sweet Pauly has become my nickname. Tom, our tuba player, always says “Sweet Pauly Metcalfe” when we see each other again. So, I thought I’d write a song about it. It’s upbeat as I tend to talk too fast.
We recorded this on the 2nd recording day and this was the first song we recorded with Joel on the organ in the studio. The addition of Joel really added energy to the room as well. It’s also the song that I feel reminds me of the ‘before times’ the most. I think it’s because this song especially shows the performance energy of playing together that was obviously missing during the lockdown. I remember listening to it a few months into the stay-at-home order and thinking, oh yeah, that’s what it felt like.
