What are the genres that describe better your music style?

Cosmyte:
Always Galactic, either Ambiant/Chillout and/or Electronica/Techno/Psychedelic

Nagamag:
Few words about your musical background and career?

Cosmyte:
Since 2014 Profesor Galacticus and Captain Frictus are colaborating as a galactic team in other project, Neenboo, a 7 musicians world music project.
In 2017, they decided to create Cosmyte.

This atypical crew is constantly evolving by creating its own galaxy, led by Pr. Galacticus (machines) and Captn Frictus (handpan), it includes talented companions met during music tours around Europe, Russia, India, China and Latin America, bringing a unique experience to each appearance. A journey between organic human vibrations, cosmic instruments and mechanical machines oscillations, Cosmyte is a real musical android.

In 2019 the Cosmyte Spaceship joined the Hadra label Team (Hadra Alter Vision Record).

In 2020 the Cosmyte crew droped out two EP's: Pyramyte Awake Side and Pyramyte Dream Side

Do you remember your first connection of love to music that was the right impact to be a music artist now?

Cosmyte:
There are a lot of moments, concerts, people, places, that gave us the right impact.
One of them is traveling as "pre-profesional" musicians with Super Cumbia band, some Argentinian friends, touring in Europe. We were spending so much good time as a band, as a family, as travelers, by traveling and playing all together.
Other is a concert of Djamanawak, a french band, when they played a 3h30 improvised concert. We were like "wooow, so nice, we want to do that" !

Do you have some project that you want to talk about for 2021

Cosmyte:
We are working on a Lullaby project.
It's about musical ceremony, a 7 hours night playing, with people sleeping, or dreaming, or just flying inside.
We try explore music as a channel to connect with bigger space in this crazy times, in this crazy world.
We want to explore more about this project.

Nagamag:
You recently talked in social networks about an "inversion of the polarity of human consciousness". What about it?

Cosmyte:
We don't really know more about it, but we can say you that Jbiboulak community announced us by a sercret chanel, that hapenned on the 17 december 2020 this "inversion of the polarity of human consciousness". A kind of global mental change that can happen on earth by the dreams.

“Better Off” depicts the mental & emotional hardship that a toxic relationship can cause someone. Many are often unsure of what they want regarding companionship. At one point you may think you’re better off with someone, until you realize that you’re better off without them. Jean~Baptiste takes a personal approach and depicts a time in which he fell for someone who he thought was the one, when reality she’s far from it. He’s aware that the relationship isn’t going well, but blindly denies its deterioration due to denial and familiarity. Throughout the track you can hear his inner conscious continuously warning him to leave, but to no avail. Jean proceeds to ignore his intuition and is rather misled by his irrational fear of being without this person. All signs point to ending it, but he’s become so attached & mentally detached that he is unable to let go despite all the damage that has been done.

In short this is an experience that many inexperienced lovers go through. You fall hard for someone, invest so much of yourself, ignore the warning signs, and then ultimately face the repercussions. But no matter what you are always better off.

The success with “Dancing In The Moonlight”, took NEIMY and Swedish artist Jübel all the way to the top of UK singles charts, peaking at #11. Their cover of King Harvest's classic song has racked up over 160M streams to date. Now she’s ready to release her next original single “LIMBO”, a song with dark and playful lyrics and a glimpse of humor and sarcasm.

“I’ve always had a passion for storytelling lyrics and catchy melodies. This song came about at a speed writing session with me and my co-writer and producer Eric Wictor. Within an hour we had the whole topline, and the lyrics simply poured out of me”, NEIMY explains.

What are the genres that describe better your music style?

Συνθέτω σε ένα πεδίο Rock-Jazz-Latin με προτίμηση στον ελληνικό στίχο όπου θεωρώ ότι συντονίζομαι συναισθηματικά και νοητικά.

(I compose in a Rock-Jazz-Latin field with a preference for Greek lyrics where I find myself emotionally and mentally attuned.)

Είμαι ένας συνθέτης και καθηγητής μουσικής, συγκεκριμένα φωνητικής και σύγχρονου πιανου και έχω ασχοληθεί με πολλά είδη μουσικής. Ύστερα απο τις κλασσικές μου σπουδές, δίπλωμα κλασσικού πιάνου, κλασσικού τραγουδιού και ανωτέρων θεωρητικών ασχολήθηκα με την Jazz, Jazz ενορχήστρωση πνευστών και εγχόρδων όπως και με την ηχοληψία και την μουσική Τεχνολογία. Διδάσκω 20 χρόνια σύγχρονο τραγούδι και σύγχρονο πιάνο με σκοπό οι μαθητές μου να βίωνουν την ελευθερία έκφρασης της ψυχής τους με γέφυρα την μουσική και τον ήχο. Κάνω παραγωγές σε τραγουδιστές και συνθέτες και συνθέτω, ηχογραφώ και είμαι παραγωγός της δικής μου μουσικής δισκογραφίας. Έχω παίξει σε πάρα πολλές σκήνες στην Αθήνα και σε όλη την Ελλάδα όπως στον Σταυρό του Νότου , Faust, Zoo κτλ Έχω δημιουργήσει με επιτυχία δύο μεγάλες ορχήστρες οι οποίες είναι η Πλαστελίνη και οι Μαντρας.

(I am a composer and music teacher, specifically into vocal and modern piano and I have been involved in many types of music. After my classical studies, diploma in classical piano, classical singing, and advanced theories, I dealt with Jazz, Jazz orchestration of winds and strings as well as sound recording and music technology. I have been teaching contemporary songs and contemporary piano for 20 years in order for my students to experience the freedom of expression of their soul with music and sound as a bridge. I do productions for singers and composers and I do recordings and I am a producer of my own music discography. I have played on many stages in Athens and all over Greece such as Stavros to Notou, Faust, Zoo, etc. I have successfully created two great orchestras which are Plastelini and Mantras.)

Θυμάμαι όταν πήγα να μάθω πίανο στο ωδείο στην ηλικία των 5 ετών. Από τότε η σχέση μου με τον ήχο και τα μουσικά οργάνα ξεκίνησε. Ερωτεύομαι τον πειραματισμό με νέα μουσικά οργάνα και το επιδιώκω να μελετάω καινούργια όργανα μουσικής.

(I remember when I went to learn piano at the conservatory at the age of five. Since then my relationship with sound and musical instruments began. I fall in love with experimenting with new musical instruments and I seek to study them deeper.)
