Tobtok x Wankelmut – Greenlight (feat. Louis III) (Spotify)

Categories: Audio, House, The Latest|Tags: , , , , |

“Attractive melody, catchy effects and fat bass are the main elements of this banger. When Deep House meets EDM and three minds work together, the result cannot fail! Raise your skeakers volume, turn off the lights and daaance...”

-Nagamag.com

Standout Swedish producer, Tobtok, makes his first outing of 2022 with new deep house single ‘Greenlight’, marking a debut collaboration with a fellow multi-platinum-awarded producer, Wankelmut. This hookfest of a composition features South London singer-songwriter, Louis III whose been making serious waves with his candid, beat driven pop-R&B sounds. Infectious with an irresistible chorus, compelling melody, and catchy choice of instrumentation, ‘Greenlight’ is out now on London’s chart-topping crossover dance label, Perfect Havoc. Stream it now https://PerfectHavoc.lnk.to/greenlight.

Tobtok aka Tobias Karlsson signed to Perfect Havoc during the early stages of his budding career. He’s grown into one of the most talented artists leading the new wave of Swedish electronic music DJ / producers. He has generated over 500 million streams globally across his original work, remixes and productions for Joel Corry, Robin Schulz, and Karen Harding to name few on such illustrious labels as Ministry of Sound, Kitsuné and of course, his home at Perfect Havoc.

Tobtok’s highlight outings include the Australian double platinum record, ‘Fast Car’; flexing his DJ skills on Toolroom Records’ ‘Miami Poolside’ compilation; and ‘New Levels’ which achieved over 20 million streams globally and was championed as a ‘Tune of the Week’ on BBC Radio 1. And that’s not to mention to the key DJ support he’s had along the from Sam Feldt, Sigala, Tiësto amongst many others.

Collaborating with Tobtok is high flying Berlin talent, Jacob Dilssner aka Wankelmut, who ranks amongst the most popular and renowned house and techno talents of the past 10 years. While he first appeared on Perfect Havoc in 2021 alongside Xoro on ‘Good In Goodbye’, it was back in 2012 when he made his breakthrough with a mix of Asaf Avidan’s ‘One Day / Reckoning Song’. It placed him firmly on the map after soaring to #1 in eight European countries, selling over three million units and bestowing him with a multitude of Gold and Platinum Awards. It’s fair to say Wankelmut has been a roll ever since.

Wankelmut’s other production highlights include ‘My Head Is A Jungle’ featuring Australian singer Emma Louise (a top 20 entry across Europe), which peaked at #5 in the UK charts courtesy of a MK remix. His popular remixes for Dennis Lloyd, Gossip and Lenny Kravitz, releases on Defected, Spinnin’ Deep and Toolroom, and output on his own WKLMT label – notably the club smashes ‘Ayahuasca’ and ‘Roll It’ - have earnt Wankelmut an impressive 2million monthly listeners on Spotify. Whether hosting his long-running radio show on Germany’s biggest station WDR 1Live or compiling his Get Physical mix compilation series ‘Wankelmoods’, this artist has earned fans all over the world and they’ve never stopped growing.

Completing the bill on ‘Greenlight’ is Croydon breaking talent, Louis III. His reputation is fast growing with support from heavy hitters like BBC’s 1Xtra and Radio 1 where his tracks have featured as ‘Best New Pop’. His skills were recognised by drum n bass duo Sigma where together they dropped the hit track ‘Anywhere’, racking up over 60 million streams on Spotify to date and gaining a silver certification in the UK.

It was on TikTok last year where Louis exploded (551.9k followers and 8.4M likes). His re-interpretations of great songs “songs written from the other perspective” have made such an impact that his version of Bruno Mars’ hit song ‘Talking to the Moon’ attracted 16.5M views alone. It saw Louis featured as TikTok’s nationwide billboard campaign “top 20 unsigned artists” on top of releasing three exciting dance collaborations with Kush Kush (Killer), SLVR & Offrami (Do Anything) and Nick Peters (All the Songs).

There’s an extra level of creativity in the output of Perfect Havoc seen so far this year from its trademark crossover dance sounds to tech house and afrobeat house. Having given rise to six UK Top 20 singles including the No.1 single ‘Head & Heart’ by four-time Brit Award nominated producer Joel Corry and MNEK, the question begs: where will the label head next?

With a talent-packed schedule for 2022 that also features releases from Just Kiddin, PS1, Freejak, James Hurr and many more, Perfect Havoc is guaranteed to serve up a ton of new accessible and underground house sounds from both breaking and established talent.

Forenzics x Washington – Unlikely Friend (feat. Washington) (Video)

Categories: Audio, Jazz, The Latest|Tags: , , , , |

“"Unlikely Friend" is one of those works that don't require adaptation, as it's pure music without unnecessary embellishments. The energy of Jazz flows like a warm stream, penetrating into the most secret corners of the human soul and leaving a bright mark there.”

“Это одно из тех произведений, которые не требуют адаптации, это — чистая, без лишних на то прикрас музыка. Энергетика джаза льётся тёплым потоком, проникая в самые потайные уголки человеческой души, оставляя там своей яркий след.”

-Nagamag.com

"New Zealand’s Split Enz disbanded in 1984, but numerous reunions, classical collaborations and re-imaginings have always pulled former members – Neil Finn and Tim Finn among them – back into its orbit. Nothing, however, has been as musically ambitious as Forenzics, Tim and Enz keyboard player Eddie Rayner’s deep delve into the bands earliest days. Taking what the pair refer to as “shades” from tracks such as Walking Down the Road and Matinee Idyll (129) from their 1976, Phil Manzanera – produced LP Second Thoughts, and the later, should have been a hit Give It A Whirl, Finn and Rayner rebuild entirely new songs, alongside seven actual entirely new songs....

Nate Ouellette – Fifth St. (Spotify)

Categories: Audio, Pop, The Latest|Tags: , , , |

“Waves of guitar-driven magic echoing inside your head in a love story scenario. Fresh work from a young and promising artist. Very affecting for all who had their heart broken or simply for listeners with emotional sensitivity.”

-Nagamag.com

A love story. Young heartbreak. At only 19 years old, Nate Ouellette is a young artist with an amazing way of painting a picture. This single is about young love and the memories had before it was all gone. Beautifully written and portrayed with an emotional guitar rift guiding the way, "Fifth St." will melt your heart. Relatable for all of those that have had their heart broken

https://www.instagram.com/nateouellettex

Born in NY and raised in Westwood, NJ, Nate Ouellette made his mind up from an early age that he was going to be a star. His father was a composer so music was always in his household. He began writing in middle school but always kept it to himself. It wasn’t until his sophomore year in high school that he began taking his talent more seriously. He began connecting with local artists and producers and sharing song ideas, eventually recording some of them but only to show friends and family. When they took to his skills and sound, he realized that his dream of being a big artist might actually become more of reality than he ever imagined.

Recently, he began working on a new, original sound. This unique blend of feel good pop and soul has opened the door to many opportunities coming his way. With a few records under his belt and his following slowly beginning to climb, the soon to be high school graduate has begun the process to stardom. He is focused on not only becoming a staple in the music industry but also bringing it home to his family as they are the most important thing to him. Nate's unwillingness to give up and his desire to succeed is undeniably apparent. Partner that with his creativity, songwriting and distinct voice and sound, the sky is the limit for the young artist. Stay tuned.

Isabelle Fries – Scrapbook (Spotify)

Categories: Audio, Pop, The Latest|Tags: , , , , , |

“Life is a journey, full of memories and experiences... something authentic and unique for each of us. In "Scrapbook", the artist shares her thoughts and reveals how her past can affect present. All these through soft Lo-fi Pop sound with an epic finale that leaves its sign in most listeners.”

-Nagamag.com

“SCRAPBOOK”, the new single from Isabelle Fries, invites us to not only take a look back at our life adventures, but to also look forward, letting us truly “feel along the way.

“This song for me is about longing for the past and the all encompassing feeling of nostalgia, emotions we almost all surely experience”, says Fries. “Yet at the same time, it’s also about wanting more for your life and knowing that you are capable, even if it means having to fight off the demons in your head, feeling rather than going numb, and that internal battle to get to where you long and belong to be.”

“I wanted to forget, I fell asleep and it’s so cold alone

I want to be someone, I want to reach out and touch love and burn all up

But they say it ain’t easy… “

~ SCRAPBOOK

At the tender age of 23 Isabelle Fries is not only a successful emerging artist, but she is also a teacher. Isabelle is the real life “Hannah Montana,” balancing a career of music along with educator to children in Colorado and Uganda.

Fries is a recent graduate of The University of Southern California whose senior year was impacted by the pandemic. Alas, her altruistic spirit and devotion for music has been going strong. Since her last release, she has been working on projects that merge service and music - not your typical pop star, but refreshing to say the least.

Isabelle has been described by the likes of Perez Hilton and others as a young Kelly Clarkson with a mix of Miley Cyrus and Maggie Rogers. There’s also a distinct Nora Jones “Jazz” influence that echoes through her raspy voice, which is no surprise since she began singing old Jazz songs with her acting coach at the age of 9. Her music is also morphing into a beautiful “Lumineers” sound that grabs your soul.

Along side her LA based music team lead by Grammy-winning, multi-platinum producer/mixer Rob Chiarelli, her latest single “Scrapbook” is a song that invites you to welcome all of life, even the painful memories that have caused so much heartache. Her “Coldplay” type melody on this track shows that she is indeed growing up, and her folksy-pop sound is maturing like a good vintage red wine.

Penned by writer Seth Baer, who’s developed a close musical relationship with Fries, had this to say about the new tune: “Scrapbook is a story of losing someone close to you, and the feeling of falling away from your true self. It’s the feeling of letting go of your past, nostalgia, simpler times, to finally move on with life, quieting the noise around you and battling what’s inside”.

Isabelle’s dream is to combine her love of music and international service work to bring people together and make a difference in the world. She continues to believe that music is a basic human need that allows a connection to self.

Simon Field x Adam Griffin x James Hurr – You On Red (Feat. Aya Anne) (Spotify)

Categories: Audio, House, The Latest|Tags: , , , , |

“The beat shakes your body and those sensual vocals can set you on fire. When four artistic minds work together, the result cannot be indifferent at all. Maximize the volume and let this EDM banger do its job in the most effective way!”

-Nagamag.com

Producer extraordinaries, Simon Field, Adam Griffin and James Hurr have dropped the immense sounding ‘You In Red (feat. Aya Anne)’ on London’s hit-machine, Perfect Havoc. A disco-tinged deep house tune with rolling bassline, it brings together each producer’s unique touch: the analogue sound from Field’s studio, the contagious rhythms of Griffin, and Hurr as a master at work. Stream it now https://PerfectHavoc.lnk.to/youonred.

Simon Field is an awarded producer and songwriter based in Oslo, Norway with a distinct sound produced entirely through analogue gear. His releases on Perfect Havoc include ‘Is It Real?’ with Tobtok & Oliver Nelson feat. Salena Mastronnani (8 million streams), ‘Shake The Tree’ (18 million streams), and ‘Wildfire’ feat. Andreya Triana (3.6 million streams).

Champions of Field’s sound span DJ A-listers Tiësto, Hardwell, David Guetta, and Benny Benassi, while over on the Big Screen and TV, his music has been featured in the Academy Award nominated film, Passengers, and in the Netflix series Elite. With 80 million global streams to his name and the curator behind the Ibiza Deep House playlist on Spotify with over 500,000 fans, Field is a constant force in creating original and modern sounds.

Producing alongside Field is Perfect Havoc co-founder and producer, Adam Griffin. Alongside Robert Davies, Griffin has steered Perfect Havoc into one of the most in-demand independent labels around, underlined by platinum certified releases and generating over three billion global streams. His contagious house cuts include ‘The Sting’ and ‘The Stand Off’ (BBC Radio 1 Future Anthem) and ‘Don’t Over Think It’ produced with house icon Todd Terry.

Also on the lineup here is rising superstar James Hurr. His credits as a production and mixing engineer are an impressive ‘who’s who’ of the UK’s best-known dance talents. Hurr is behind Mark Knight’s ‘Yebisah’ and Prok & Fitch’s ‘Wow’, plus dozens of tracks, collabs and remixes with Michael Gray and Frederick & Kusse to name just two. Toolroom Record’s Mark Knight said that Hurr “was on fire” and the man wasn’t wrong. Hurr’s Perfect Havoc debut ‘Jump In’ with legendary DJ Michael Gray was so well received that it was played for 8 straight weeks on BBC Radio 1’s Party Anthems.

The sumptuous vocals on ‘You On Red’ come courtesy of Aya Anne. Signed to Perfect Havoc Management, the 22-year-old from West Sussex first appeared on the label as a feature with Pink Panda on ‘Only Love’. Her song writing skills take ‘You In Red’ down the narrative of leaving your lover on the dancefloor both literally and figuratively. Together with production of Field, Griffin and Hurr, Aya Anne gives the track an emotive and refined quality to get truly lost in.

With a talent-packed schedule for 2022 that also features releases from Just Kiddin, PS1, Wankelmut, Tobtok and Freejak, Perfect Havoc is guaranteed to serve up a ton of new accessible and underground house sounds from both breaking and established talent.

Estella Dawn – Salt (Spotify)

Categories: Audio, Pop, The Latest|Tags: , , , |

“Many of us have to fight in life to cope with difficult situations, or even find the way to escape. "Estella Dawn" reveals this truth and also her inner thoughts via her new Electro Pop single. "Salt" can truly touch our souls and reveal a lot through its lyrics.”

-Nagamag.com

Denver, CO — When you feel like you’ve hit your own personal rock bottom, when you’re frustrated with the world, with yourself, with everybody around you, when it’s hard to feel positive because it feels like life is throwing punch after punch at you and you don’t feel like you have the strength to take it. In the words of artist Estella Dawn, “sometimes you just need to let tears flow and cleanse the things that you can’t control.”

https://twitter.com/estella_dawn

Dawn has strong views about the world and isn’t afraid to share them through her engaging, candid music. “I’ve always seen my internal darkness as wolves, I’m either part of the pack, or on the run from the parts of myself that scare me. But no matter which side I’m on, they’re always there. When the pack is descending and my mind starts spiraling it feels like all I can do is keep my head down and set one foot in front of the other, just getting through the day in hope of a better tomorrow.”

https://www.facebook.com/estelladawnmusic/

She adds, “we all have our own ways to cope, whether it’s having a cry sitting on the floor of your shower or screaming along to aggressive rock music in the car, buying too many house plants or finding comfort in somebody else's company, drinking, smoking, eating, the list goes on. We’re all just doing our best.”
