Continuing her successful synergy with world renowned producer Manon Dave, who’s worked with the likes of will.i.am and Che Lingo, Lois and East London rapper Tike deliver this summer ready hit. ‘SWIM’ is layered with dreamy synths and bouncy percussions that are topped off with some sensual sounding brass instruments. The underlying message of the track is about rising above bad energy and making the best out of every situation you may encounter; Lois gives us insight to this with lyrics like “Floating over all of this negativity and I just wanna know when we can enjoy life and live it carefree.”

After the release of her last single ‘Mind’, the momentum surrounding Lois has been phenomenal. “I think as a women, we tend to do this more than men - we are conditioned to believe we have to shrink, re-adjust and mold ourselves to satiate the male gaze. ”There are so many products telling us how we should look, feel and smell, and countless more movies and shows telling us how we should act and behave. Raised in the Tyendinaga Mohawk Territory in Ontario, in a family and community that surrounded her with music, noelle’s upbringing exposed her to a vast range of musical genres, from Nat King Cole and Sarah Vaughan, to the pow wow drum and native wind flute from her Indigenous roots. Expressing her thoughts and emotions at her piano, coupled with a reality she sought to transcend, noelle began writing her own music as a therapeutic form of self-expression.

Vulnerable new single, “Stupid,” was inspired by long distance relationships. Falling in love is such an amazing feeling, but it can fall apart when distance is involved. The artwork accompanies the song’s vibe – simple, raw, beautiful.
