Categories: Audio, Rock, The Latest|Tags: , , , |

“We strive to make wealth, get everything that we need -and many more- for a better life, but what's left in the end? Jackson Emmer states the truth in his new Folk song and communicates his wise message in a direct and effective way. Just lay back and concentrate in this acoustic sound.”

Artist said about this song:

"I wrote this song with folk legend, Tom Paxton via Zoom. Tom really liked our initial approach to the song, which was based around a Travis-Picking groove. I liked that too, but wanted to try something different for the studio version. Honky Tronica sounded about right."

Estella dawn – Buzzcut

“Estella dawn delivers a strong vocal range on this track acompanied by a tight guitar and sharp drums. A great choir backs it all up and the latin grooves and tempo, make u wanna dance all night ”

“Chameleon daters” are people who change their appearance, style, musical taste, and even eating habits to mirror each new romantic partner. Estella Dawn, a constant observer, puts this theorem to good use in her most recent single “Buzzcut”.

“I think as a women, we tend to do this more than men - we are conditioned to believe we have to shrink, re-adjust and mold ourselves to satiate the male gaze. ”There are so many products telling us how we should look, feel and smell, and countless more movies and shows telling us how we should act and behave. In our quest to find this perfect partner I think we can often end up compromising a lot of what makes us unique and special.

I wanted to flip that narrative on its head with “Buzzcut”. This song is about holding your shape when embarking on a new relationship, an encouragement to “stay true to your own authentic flare.” To have someone be so enthralled with you that they would adjust themselves to better suit what they thought you wanted.

“Buzzcut” is also the first single release from her highly anticipated full length album due out later this year. Having already released 17 singles since 2020 this album is the next step up, blending a cohesive mix of live musical arrangements, pop sensibilities and Estella’s relatable, mature lyrics and Impressive vocal skills. Imagine SIA and Taylor Swift on a writing and recording retreat. There will be a steady release of singles from the album to wet your pallet and keep you anticipating what’s next.

Just Leila x BYRN – Approche toi

Categories: Audio, Pop, The Latest|Tags: , , , , |

“Get close to Leila and her charming sound. A love song in French Pop mood, decorated with rich percussion elements. This flawlessly sophisticated production is ready to fill your cold place with warm air.”

-Nagamag.com

"Approche Toi" "Close to Me" is a love song that celebrates the merging of two souls and everything that is beautiful about falling in love. Written in French (one of Just Leila's native tongues) the song has a feel good drawl to it reminiscent of French café music combined with a more modern electronic vibe.

The song is also a debut for Byrn producing music for another artist: being a song created entirely by women.

"It was my first time producing someone else's song and I was honored to be a part of it! It's a different kind of pressure working on another artist's baby, but I am thankful for the wonderful experience" - Byrn

"It is night and day producing with a woman instead of a man. I may be biased but I think women are the whole package. You get fire music, professionalism, and a lot more transparency – all with less of the ego and drama." - Just Leila

Maury111 – Solov

Categories: Audio, Pop, The Latest|Tags: , , , , |

“-Maury111- Tied all possible interesting elements from LO-Fi, Indietronica and Dream POP and competently composed them into this magic track. A pulsating bit, walking along the panorama of melody and emotional vocal samples. This mix is impossible to transfer to the fullest only to feel it is possible ”

“-Maury111- связал все возможные интересные элементы из lo-fi, indietronica и dream pop и грамотно их скомпоновал в этот магический трек. Пульсирующий бит, гуляющая по панораме мелодия и эмоциональные вокальные семплы. Этот микс невозможно передать в полной мере с помощью слов. Его возможно лишь только прочувствовать.”

eliá – Apart

Categories: Audio, Pop, The Latest|Tags: , , , |

“Slightly irregular rhythm, hypnotic vocals and a melody that seems to wander in the night. It's a rare and very valuable approach into music production, especially in the scene of Indie electronic. A track that instantly sticks in memory and plays repeatedly.”

“Рваный, немного грязный ритм, гипнотический вокал и словно блуждающая в ночи мелодия. Это редкий и очень ценный подход к созданию музыки, особенно в жанре инди-электроники. Трек, который моментально врезается в память и звучит на повторе.”

"Apart" started with me jamming piano chords with a Bond-vibe. As the lyrics took form the song became both melancholic and powerful. "Apart" is about losing and grieving someone who is still present. There is something that died between you, but it's hard to grief someone that has not disappeared physically. With creative music production and mixing "Apart" became a sad electro ballad.

Lyrah – Hold Me (Spotify)

Categories: Audio, Pop, The Latest|Tags: , , , , , |

“When you experience dark moments and it seems that there's no way out, you need a hand of help. This beautiful Indie Pop single can express that special need of support. With its smooth flow, etherial vocals and slow beat it can minimize our negative feelings and let us breathe again.”

-Nagamag.com

Artist said about this song"

"I wrote this when I was living with my parents a year into the pandemic. I was making music out of their garage (so literally my own garage band lol). I made this one night when I wanted to create something comforting. The song is about wanting someone to hold you if you lost your mind and accepting that a dark place is okay when you know it’s temporary."

Boo Seeka – Finish What You Started (Spotify)

Categories: Audio, Pop, The Latest|Tags: , , , , |

“"Boo Seeka" dropped another hit in the Dream Pop scene and it may have addictive (side)effects! The track starts shaking the ground right after you press play. Uplifting lyrics, effect driven vocals and wide electronic background patterns for your full listening pleasure.”

-Nagamag.com

‘There’s a miracle out there for the finding” – it’s the kind of lyric that sends goosebumps down the spine, particularly after the last two years of hardship and trauma. Finish What You Started is actually quite a motivational track, and not in a forceful way – gentle, persuasive and inspirational, Boo encourages the listener to continue the work, to continue chasing dreams despite how hard it can get. Evocative of early 2010s indies Two Door Cinema Club and The Strokes, smooth electronic beats mesh flawlessly with guitar and Boo’s stunning falsetto. It’s easy to imagine Finish What You Started playing on the stereo in the car on the way down to the beach during an Aussie summer.

Rising singer-songwriter and global citizen Eli Lev is making the world a smaller place, one song at a time. Eli pens lyrics and melodies for everyday enlightenment—songs that resonate because they’re heartfelt, earthy, and offer the wisdom he’s gained through lifelong travel and self-discovery.

The Silver-Spring, Maryland-based artist just released Deep South, the third album in a four-part directional series that was inspired by indigenous traditions he learned while teaching on the Navajo Nation in Northern Arizona. Just as each cardinal direction holds unique characteristics in the Navajo tradition, so do each of the albums in Eli’s ‘Four Directions Project.’ Together, the series imaginatively and intrepidly connects spheres and generations within a body of work that is irresistibly uplifting, emotionally resonant, and down-to-earth authentic.

Eli explains, “We are surrounded by four directions, and each has distinctive attributes, powers, and teachings according to Navajo traditions. For example, because the sun rises in the east, it is the first direction and source of new ideas and inspiration. With that in mind, I started my EP series in 2017 with All Roads East, echoing the sounds of my youth and upbringing (altcountry/Americana). A year later I released Way Out West, where I experimented with the frontiers of folk tropes and melodies (indie folk). For my latest album Deep South, I’ve gone back to my southern roots with a truly modern and powerful sound (folk rock and pop). I’ll round out the project in 2020 by releasing a more introspective True North (acoustic singer songwriter).”

Eli’s releases have earned critical praise from Paste Magazine, Buzzfeed, CBS Radio, AXS, and The Bluegrass Situation, and have received national folk radio support and placement on prominent Spotify playlists. In 2019, Eli Lev won multiple industry awards for his work: his second album Way Out West won a Washington Area Music Award (WAMMIE) for best Country/Americana album, while his single “Chasing Daylight” won a grand prize in the SAW Mid-Atlantic Songwriting Competition.
