DaeDreamr – All Good

Categories: Audio, Blogwave, The Latest|Tags: , , , |

“Like sunshine filtering down through a modern cityscape onto the inhabitants. A carefree feel good vibe with clever wordplay and those classic horn section riffs. We enjoy these build ups and that bright guitar solo that brings it altogether. ”

Enter the daydream that is “All Good”, a worry free track that exudes positivity from the Nashville pop producer Jay Putty, otherwise known as DaeDreamr. Written by Jay Putty and Danny Guarino, shortly after the passing of Jay’s father, the artists capture that serene feeling of letting go and being carefree once again. With its fresh pop and R&B elements, “All Good'' transports the listener to a sunny day, walking down the sidewalk with ice cream in hand, and not a care in the world.

“Delicate and thoughtful all set to a chill fuzzed out beat. We dig the natural basslines in the background and the light snaps that pull us closer in. Presenting a reality we can all relate to. ”

The Kolour Kult – The Biggest Thing

Categories: Audio, Blogwave, The Latest|Tags: , , , , , |

“We ease into the darkness of subliminal electronica. The classic drumkits highlight an era that seems to go on and on. A divine breakdown of synths and guitar layered with a uptempo beat. The voice fits the structure in a divine way that just seems to make perfect sense. ”

A sad song about how not communicating can make a relationship last longer.

O’o – Spin

Categories: Audio, Pop, The Latest|Tags: , , |

“A spin on the reality of the psychedelic reels of continuity. Embedded with a warm fuzzy vocal sound that pulls us in. The colors seem to continue their dance to this elaborate tripped out midtempo gem. ”

-Nagamag.com

O’o returns with Spin, the hypnotic, shuffling, second single from their debut album Touche. ‘Spin’ is set amongst the decadent mise-en-scene of the unfair funfair, with vocalist Victoria Suter dispensing some sisterly advice about how to look after oneself in the big bad world. A sequenced, robotic Rhodes piano carries these prophetic lyrics across a steady beat to the break, as dubbed out tape delays engulf the sole lyric “Spin”. As if to suggest that this universal groove could continue until the end of the universe, Spin slowly fades out, urging the listener to get closer to their speakers and savor every last moment.

I, Amethyst – Your Queen

Categories: Audio, Pop, The Latest|Tags: , , , |

“So delicious and devious in its own splendid way. We really love the build up and climax of this superb piece. The moogy bassline captured our attention right at the start, setting the deep tones that allow the vocals to guide us into submission. ”

An empowering feminist anthem with dark and dramatic effects. Written, performed, and produced by women.

Marina Matiss – Cyberpunk

Categories: Audio, Blogwave, The Latest|Tags: , , , |

“With electric glow and anxious spirit, Marina Matiss introduces her "Cyberpunk". A mind-blowing Synthpop production made from vintage lead melodies and errupting vocals. The lyrics express concerns about the substitution of human relationships from machines. Listen and think!”

Artist said about this song:

"I was inspired to write this song when I saw a documentary about people in Japan who marry .. robots or sometimes VR characters in VR churches.

Though the track is light-ish it makes pretty serious questions: how come real people share their real warm humane love with a piece of metal? Does it only extend to robots who resemble humans? And what if one day a robot develop a capacity to love back?.. "

John Bird Jr. – ’til my money runs dry

Categories: Audio, Rock, The Latest|Tags: , , |

“Like the wide open spaces of the South West accentuated with a bit of a gospel chorus.

This well composed piece has very poetic lyrics that pull us closer in. The strings and drawn out guitars are magnificent and showcase the richness of the audio production.

Artist said about this song:

"’til my money runs dry was born in the snow-covered hills of Woodstock, NY where I visited in early Jan ’22. I spent several days in a cabin in the woods, filled with many musical instruments. I became inspired by nature and living completely in the moment, enjoying my time until my money completely ran dry. Based around a simple piano idea til my money runs dry was given life with beautiful instrumentation and harmony from a chorus of instruments."
