R3HAB teams up with UK sensations Sigala and JP Cooper for their collaboration “Runaway,” a stunning coming-of-age saga that fuses the best of dance and pop. The song reflects each artist’s signature sound, from R3HAB’s dynamic and high-energy style and Sigala’s radio-friendly beats to JP Cooper’s soulful vocals. Opening with undulating, upbeat melodies, “Runaway” rides on a combination of muted basslines and heartfelt vocals; its powerful lyrics about taking a risk to realize a dream or happiness is something many listeners will be able to relate to. Sigala is the musical nom de plume of Bruce Fielder, a London-based house DJ, producer, and remixer. Launching his career with “Easy Love,” a sampling track that topped the charts in the UK in 2015, he continued releasing bright, sunny dance-pop tunes featuring a variety of guest vocalists and producers. His 2018 full-length album “Brighter Days” included collaborations with Kylie Minogue, Craig David, Sean Paul, and Nile Rodgers, among many others. Subsequent tracks featuring Becky Hill (“Wish You Well”) and James Arthur (“Lasting Lover”) continued his run of UK Top Ten hits. In 2019 Sigala released the single “We Got Love” featuring Ella Henderson. Another song with Becky Hill – “Heaven on My Mind,” appeared in 2020, and “Lasting Lover” with James Arthur became Sigala’s 8th single to chart in the UK Top Ten. His latest single “You For Me” with Rita Ora, proved to be yet another Summer smash of 2021.

JP Cooper has done the legwork. Ten years in bands in and around his Manchester hometown. Multiple songs written on his own and with a variety of collaborators, a couple of which became global hits-that-will-not-die: “Perfect Strangers” with Jonas Blue and his own “September Song,” which is now sitting at some 600M streams. An international solo career built on pure songcraft. And he’s done the business. The singer/songwriter’s 2017 debut album “Raised Under Grey Skies” has sold in old-fashioned numbers: 1M copies at time of writing. His 11M monthly Spotify listeners have contributed to a grand total of 4B total streams. And, over the past 18 months, Cooper has done the hardest thing: built on all that to create a second album, a collection of 13 songs that work as together and work apart, that out-paces, out-sings and, by his exacting standards, out-classes his debut.

5ON5 is a collaborative music project based in Berlin, Germany, and consisting of four distinctly unique artists who’ve come together to make music that, in their own words, is “a little new, a little naughty, and a bit different.” The quartet itself is a bit different, its members spanning two generations and coming from very different music backgrounds. The brainchild of Max Koffler, a singer-songwriter, musician and producer with over 20 years of experience in the music industry, and who’s previously released two albums Taboo and GAMES as a solo artist, the project is based on his cooperatin with young singer-songwriter, rapper and producer $INAN (aka Sinan Pakar) with rapper and visual artist Maxx B and singer and texter Yumin joining in. Their unusual name 5ON5 was born out of Max’s music label sonsounds, and reflects their eclectic mix of music genres and styles, including EDM, synthpop, hip hop and alternative rock.

“Descent 3” from Symmetry continues the downward return to the beginning of this musically symmetrical cycle. This work refers to elemental fire and its associated ancient geometrical form, the tetrahedron.

“Symmetry” is the musically symmetrical soundtrack of a journey, whether physical, intellectual, imaginative, emotional, philosophical, psychological, or spiritual. The music expresses progressive ascent towards a goal, arrival at an apex, descent, and return. The structure of the music reflects and embodies philosophy, mathematics, sacred geometry, harmony and dissonance, and psychoacoustics. This electronic arrangement of the composition is inspired by early, baroque, classical and neoclassical music, as well as electronic music and minimalism.

“Boots” is Montana-based roots-rock singer-songwriter Madeline Hawthorne’s upbeat and honest debut solo single

“‘Boots’ is my introduction to the world as a solo artist,” Hawthorne shares in a press release. “The way the intro is stripped down to a guitar and my vocals, as well as the message of the song discussing women in the world and in the music industry, felt like a good representation of where I am as an artist today.”

The breakout single is accompanied by the release of Hawthorne’s first official music video. Shot in the midst of the pandemic, the video follows Hawthorne as she makes the best of a snowy evening quarantined at home with her husband is inspired by non other than her trusty boots and a well-poured Old Fashioned.

The Merry Dancers on TV is the first single from Constant Follower’s debut album ‘Neither Is, Nor Ever Was’ on the legendary Shimmy Disc label (Low, Galaxie 500, Daniel Johnston, Bonnie Prince Billy).

In ‘Scots’ (a traditional language spoken in Scotland), natural phenomena are often given beautiful phrasing – the ‘Merry Dancers’ of the song being the Scots term for the Aurora Borealis. The song speaks to the things in life we miss in the bustle and stresses of modern living. In writing the song, McAll was thinking of a particular episode where friends missed the real Merry Dancers above their cottage whilst they were indoors watching a documentary about them.

Co-produced by Scottish singer-songwriter Stephen McAll and renowned producer and Shimmy-Disc founder Kramer (Low, Galaxie 500, Will Oldham), the recording for Neither Is, Nor Ever Was began in early 2020 at La Chunky studios in Glasgow with engineer Johnny Smillie. This was interrupted by the birth of McAll’s daughter (if you listen closely, her cries are just audible during some of Kessi’s backing vocals on ‘Little Marble’), and shortly afterwards by Covid 19 restrictions. McAll began recording the rest at his own CFFC studio in Stirling. The resulting recordings were then mixed and mastered by Kramer at his Noise Miami Studio, to breathtaking effect.

Each album track is accompanied by its own short film. McAll sought-out the most exciting new talents in Scottish film and animation and invited them to be part of the album project. Each video, the artist’s personal response to the song, with no direction or interference from the band, resulting in incredibly moving and enchanting short ‘films’ in their own right (with multiple film festival considerations including Edinburgh International Film Festival and Manchester Film Festival in process).

“Making art together is something that transcends any distance and that was definitely confirmed over the period of making this film. Being able to work with a local band while being trusted with such a stunning song made any physical distance feel obsolete. Constant Follower’s choice to work with new and emerging artists for their videos meant that I, as an artist, was able to create something unlike anything I’ve had the ability to before. This is my second foray into stop motion and I have learned so much from this project alone- skills that would have taken me years to learn in any other setting. The film, at its core; is about connection and how easy it is to lose it if we start taking things for granted in life. I liked the idea that even the moon herself could tire of being taken for granted and head off on a holiday only for one child to notice it missing and go on a voyage to let it know how much it is loved and respected.” – Fiona (Video Director)

A collaboration with hit producer duo Take A Daytrip , (who notably co-produced the Lil Nas X & Jack Harlow track, “Industry Baby,” with Kanye West), “Life Is Not The Same” is the second track to be lifted from James’ forthcoming fifth studio album, Friends That Break Your Heart (out 10th September 2021).

Showing the scope that his body of work will span, “Life Is Not The Same” gives a larger view of what’s to come on the album. Label boss David Lindmer returns to Running Clouds for a very special release. A very personal piece written during the lockdown, Omen is a collaboration with Berlin based vocalist Johanson and lands alongside a stunning music video created by director DRUST.

David Lindmer is a UK born artist based out of New York. It was in 2018 David really found his signature sound characterized by driving, powerful techno that is rich in melody and cinematic drama. Having worked within the VFX industry for many years, David’s passion for sound design and cinematic scores also led him to explore the relationship between audio and the visual arts.

David is also the co-owner of Melodic Techno label Running Clouds founded in 2018 and the Chromia Sound collective. With recent high profile support from the likes of Tale of Us, Mind Against, and many more, David continues to develop as an artist and push the boundaries of immersive audio.

With Omen, David delivers his signature driving melodic techno, rich with emotion and charged with a melancholic atmosphere while maintaining enough low-end punch to absolutely work on the dancefloor. Luscious pads grace the breakdown and create a comforting blanket, wrapping around Johanson’s evocative vocals before resolving into a highly distinctive, synth-heavy, 80’s influenced finale.

Omen is accompanied by a stunning music video created by DRUST, a director raised between Paris & London with a European sensibility to filmmaking. The starting point for the Omen video was to explore the theme of doomed relationships and witness the nuanced moments where things take a wrong turn.
