New York City, NY – Sep. 10, 2019 – The opening lines of BONES are the first words, “Nathaniel Paul” of “The Bergamot” shared with us: “I told my brother after he had checked out of rehab for the 2nd time. My family had to intervene in a suicide attempt on Christmas Day 2016. 3 months later, we sat together on the banks of Lake Michigan as he first listened to BONES. With tears streaming down his face he said, “I want to send this song to all my friends at rehab” My brother is alive to this day. BONES” speaks the truth with love; we can’t just run from our burdens. –

Runaway – Original Song by Svea Lyon (Video)
Runaway – Original Song by Svea Lyon (Video)
Runaway is a song which total produced and performed from Svea Lyon speaking about of running away with your soul mate with her warm soft vocals that will tickle your ears.
Few words about Svea Lyon:
Had it not been for a man with an American flag eye patch and an acoustic guitar Svea Lyon (Suh-vay-uh) (Lee-own) may have never started singing. Mr. Woody was her first-grade music teacher, and the first person to recognize her innate talent for performing. One day in class he asked for a student to sing Twinkle Twinkle Little Star. Since no one else raised their hand Svea broke the silence and started to sing. Mr. Woody told her she had a beautiful voice and to keep on singing.
Fast forward ten years and Svea heads Mr. Woody’s advice by singing every chance she gets. Although it has been some time since she last sang Twinkle Twinkle Little Star she continues to write about everything from the sky to clementines. She plays piano and guitar and aims to write a new song every week. Artists like Fiona Apple, Alicia Keys, Stevie Nicks, and Stevie Wonder inspire her. She lives in Los Angeles, with her little sister and mom. Aside from music Svea likes to read, watch the Office, and drink tea with cats.
Altamullan Road – Underwater (Video)
Altamullan Road – Underwater (Video)
Gearing up for the release of their mesmerizing debut album due in
the fall of 2020, Altamullan Road, fronted by the sublime voices of
Johanna Kurkela and Johanna Iivanainen already gave us a peek
into their world of wonders with their 1st single “When It’s Time”.
There may be no return after the 2nd, saturnine “Underwater”.
With “Underwater” the supernatural sisters paint a gloomy picture
of a deathwish bittersweetly mixing with hope. A musical canvas
resounding with echoes, the song is sparsely colored with firm,
broad strokes and eerie harmonies. The song weaves an intricate
network of gossamer melodies and submerges the listener in
gothic, melancholic bliss. As light and airy as the singing appears at
the outset, the lyrical message lies clandestine, anticipating just
below the monochrome surface for you to dive in.
“Underwater” is a pensive tide, lying in wait to wash over you.
Altamullan Road is the silent wail of angels becoming the darkness,
the grief of waning memories and the faint flickering of candles in
the dark.
Siv Disa – Fear (Video)
Siv Disa – Fear (Video)
‘Fear’ is a fascinating look inside Siv Disa’s mind. Produced with friend and collaborator Sam and the Sea, dreamy drum patterns and analog synths phase into a warm, enveloping atmosphere that orbits around introspective lyrics. If you’re not careful the song can lure you into a false sense of security – it’s easy to find yourself comfortably lost in the production, but closer dissection of the lyrics reveal the song’s true, poignant nature. Disa’s writing is deeply personal and therapeutic, with this track inspired by the dissociative and self-critical mindsets that empty connections can push you into, whilst also questioning what causes us to be more authentic: the truth or the fear of it.
On the track, Disa said: “A lot of the questions in ‘Fear’ come up when we’re dealing with a lot of stress and difficult situations, and right now everyone is connected by having to deal with something enormous – I think everyone’s dealing with their own fears in that way.”
‘Fear’ is released alongside a haunting music video, with Disa figured as an ominous presence in a cold, dreary landscape; unclear to the viewer whether she is a threat or is being threatened. Inspired by 70s exploitation movies and found-footage horror films such as The Blair Witch Project, it perfectly encapsulates the uncertainty and eeriness of the track.
