“-Martèn LeGrand- with his new solo piano -Fields Of Fallen Leaves- on PM Recordings invites us into a romantic confession with a hidden melancholic touch giving a wonderful sense of freedom like when you walk on through the falen leaves. ”

-Nagamag.com

Martèn LeGrand is the stage name of Dutch musician and pianist Maarten de Groot, born January 4, 1963.

After Martèn completed his degree at the Rotterdam Conservatory as a Hammond organist and music performance major in 1983, he began his career as a record producer for well-known international artists and bands such as Samantha Fox and Susan Snyder. Best known for her role in the soap opera As The World Turns, Martèn produced Snyder’s solo singles, also used in the popular serial drama as background music. By the same token, Martèn produced the Socaboy's hit song Follow The Leader, which became a number-one single in the Netherlands, topped the charts in the United States, South America and other European countries, and continues to be well played around the world today. Around this same period, Martèn also worked as a demonstrator and pioneer in the field of synthesizers at Roland Japan, based in Belgium.

In the decade to follow Martèn LeGrand composed and produced music for television and the film industry. He worked, among others, for the Dutch Broadcast Foundation (NOS) and the Dutch Evangelical Broadcasting association (EO), for whom he produced and composed a large range of music, including intros and performances for live television events. Martèn also played piano in a variety of bands, including East Coast, Time and Beethoven, and collaborated on various theatrical productions with singers Liesbeth List and Sandra van Megen – the last of which went on to accompany him at the Alliance Concours Française where they were awarded first place.

Around the turn of the century Martèn founded his own music studio, where he continues to work to this day. Free to determine his own schedule, Martèn’s newfound self-employment allowed him to finally integrate his other life passion: world travel. Filled with new insights and inspiration from his journeys abroad, Martèn reinvented himself as “the traveling pianist” and has since gone on to compose a wide variety of new work.

Saskatchewan, his recent solo debut album, is the first in a range of several released and upcoming piano albums. Inspired by his surroundings, Martèn named his debut album after the Canadian region of Saskatchewan, where he found himself enchanted by, among others, a small-town cathedral and the incredible natural world. A number of the tracks on his new album, songs such as Nipawin, Pinehouse and Beauval, are named after places where Martèn played while traveling. Martèn LeGrand strives to take his listeners on a journey, transporting them to beautiful and serene locations by way of his melodic compositions. Martèn LeGrand’s second piano album is released last year and is called Those Moments In Life. Currently, he’s releasing new piano pieces of his upcoming EP ‘The Fields’. With his piece Whitehaven, he’s made his music video debut recently.

What was once one of dance music’s best kept secrets, but now with a rapidly growing global profile, Dimension is fast becoming one of the UK’s most notable – and intriguing – artists.

Lisette – Technicolor Dreams (Acoustic) (Spotify)

Categories: Audio, Neoclassical, The Latest|Tags: , , , |

“Sometimes it is hard to find music with a wide array of values and Technilour dreams is this specific occasion where a unique combination of dark alternative pop with orchestral instrumentation and balanced electronic production creates colourful cinematic soundscapes embraced by powerful poetical vocals ”

-Nagamag.com

Technicolor Dreams' is essentially a metaphor. In my own consciousness I conjure up these dreams and aspirations I want to achieve in my life, but I often get stuck inside my own head. These dreams are larger than life, they’re illusions in a sense. I have to remind myself to get out of my own head and bring these ideas to life or else they’re never going to happen. I can’t wait around daydreaming about what I want to achieve, I have to reach for it.

Blending elements of dark alternative pop with orchestral instrumentation and electronic production, Lisette creates colorful, cinematic soundscapes that are enhanced by her powerful vocals. She is a singer-songwriter born from early influences of rock, alternative, indie pop, and her love for classical music and film scores. Her music is comparable to the likes of Evanescence and BANKS.

She began writing songs at 15 and performed at music venues and open mics around her home state of North Carolina. While studying music business and popular music in college, she stumbled upon her love for producing. In 2018, she released her debut single Run This Far.

Lisette captivates audiences with her haunting voice and lyrical poetry that flows within her songs. Her debut EP Beneath the Surface released November 1st 2019. An acoustic version of the EP released October 16, 2020.

RUNAE – Let the Werewolf Out (Spotify)

Categories: Audio, Electronica, The Latest|Tags: , , , |

“With a deep dark electronic sound and a distinct delicate voice this synthpop single from a new entrant artist is a highly related song given the fact it correlates with the need of people to let their mind go while they freely dance during this restrictant period”

-Nagamag.com

Let The Werewolf Out is a song about letting loose, being crazy and letting go of all frustrations. We sometimes find it easier to act like this when we are in a disguise- like at Halloween. This is why I see the the upcoming occasion of Halloween as a perfect time to let the Werewolf out dancing in the streets! For a long time I have imagined this picture inside my head of a large group of people dancing closely together in the streets to celebrate that we have won the battle against corona! Hopefully this will happen one day, and until then I hope you will dance to my song at home, inside your head, or whereever else it's possible, and just let go of whatever you need to let go of.

I write songs about duality and the hidden, and I am inspired by the cycles of nature, and how they affect the ever-changing minds of people. My artist name RUNAE also bares this double meaning. It stems from the Nordic name, Runa, which means "to flow" and secret love", and I like to see this as a symbol of the flow of nature and all the hidden stories and secrets we all carry within- two elements that affect human beings from the outside and the inside.

John Dennis – Board Game Money (Spotify)

Categories: Audio, Pop, The Latest|Tags: , , , , |

“For people in search of classic american rock music hearings Board game money is an exquisite example coming from a young artist that having been deeply inspired by folk's greatest like Dylan and Springsteen delivers smartly a memorable example with his own distinct character”

-Nagamag.com

John Dennis, a 27 year old Freeburg, IL native, moved to Nashville, TN in 2010 to pursue his unique place among the music there. Though his songs resonate with the influence of many of folk's greats--namely Dylan, Simon and Springsteen--his unique vocals, clever Midwestern-driven imagery, and 21st century socially commentative lyrics earn him his own distinct voice. In 2013 he was discovered by Dr. Bryan Clark of Rainfeather Records--a successful musician and producer in his own right. The pair worked together to complete John's first record with Rainfeather, "Eternity's Tree," which was released in 2014. The album features a colorful collection of Dennis' original work and displays strongly John's ability to deliver an enjoyable listening experience while not shying away from his characteristic weightiness and lyrical substance. In 2016, John, along with Clark and Rainfeather, recorded a follow up record entitled "Second Wind," which only built upon and deepened what was presented in his debut; and which marked a substantial and triumphant step forward for Dennis both artistically and personally. "Second Wind," was recorded at Plethoratone Studios in Brentwood, TN. Following its official release in 2017, Dennis began work on his third full length record: a concept album that will prove to be his most creatively ambitious project yet. “Mortal Flames,” recorded at Blackbird and Plethoratone studios, is slated for release in the early Spring of 2019.

The new single follows DVBBS' latest album "Nothing To See Here" from August and Quinn XCII's 3rd studio LP "A Letter To My Younger Self," released this summer on Columbia Records. Check out what the artists had to say about their collaboration below.

"Sprinkle some DVBBS sauce on a Quinn XCII vocal, and this is what you get. Whether you're from the West Coast or East Coast, we'll be turning up together soon." - DVBBS

"'West Coast' is about finding that easiness in life that we all need from time to time. The song came about in the studio one day after playing this raw piano melody that inspired this carefree feeling. DVBBS did an amazing job giving the song a fresh approach to a dance record that I'm excited to be a part of." - Quinn XCII

Few producers have risen to the top in the electronic music scene as quickly as DVBBS, who captured the industry's attention with hits like "Tsunami" and "Not Going Home" and never let it go. The Canadian brothers Alex and Christopher have been continuously cultivating their sound since their debut in 2012, and have racked up an impressive display of collaborations with renowned names from diverse musical backgrounds. From hip hop superstar Juicy J to the NERVO twins, DVBBS continues to prove there's nothing they can't accomplish. The brothers have played everywhere from Lollapalooza to Tomorrowland, though they've been busy in the studio during the global pandemic. Quinn XCII's unique fusion of pop, hip-hop, alternative, and soul has garnered him a loyal following and over 1.5 billion streams worldwide. He is well known for tracks such as "Love Me Less" with MAX (which was performed on Jimmy Kimmel, The Today Show, and more), "Flare Guns" with Chelsea Cutler, and multiple Global Viral Charts singles on Spotify. Keep an eye out for more new music from DVBBS and Quinn XCII coming to airwaves near you!

Tendra – Draumaland (Radio Edit) (Spotify)

Categories: Audio, Neoclassical, The Latest|Tags: , , , |

“In a hasty world it is often to overlook artists with a stark locality on their work. In this case Draumaland an Icelandic word of Dreamland we experience an infusion of icelandic folk music with electronic elements and heartwarming vocals receiving an enchanting result from a dynamic young duet ”

-Nagamag.com

The song "Draumaland" (transl. Dreamland) is a composition of Tendra's guitarist Mikael Máni Ásmundsson with lyrics by vocalist Marína Ósk. The two have worked together since 2014 in various projects but have now created the concept of Tendra around their composed music. Tendra is an Icelandic word which means "to light a spark".

The song Draumaland, with lyrics in Icelandic, is about the moment when the night slowly enters the country and the Icelandic nation, almost simultaneously lays down and drifts off to sleep. Iceland is a small country and with the whole country sharing the same time, they are all connected in a way. The heart of the song also speaks to the core of the Icelandic nation but as a whole, they support each other and when in need, they put their backs together and create a strong front. Even living abroad, they find each other.

Draumaland is the third single released from Tendra's upcoming debut which is to be released on CD, vinyl and online platforms in November 6th 2020.
