“This melody reveals the inner world -yasmeen- in the form of beautiful, melodic sounds and deep, like the Mariana hollow of rhythms. You have no chance to free yourself from the shackles of her voice, this is something incredible that you need to hear at least once in your life!” (Automatically Translated with Google Translate)

“Эта мелодия раскрывает внутренний мир -Yasmeen- в форме красивых, мелодичных звуков и глубоких, как Марианская впадина ритмов. У вас нет никаких шансов освободиться от оков её голоса, это нечто невероятное, что нужно услышать хотя бы раз в жизни!”

Thursday, July 14, 2022 (New York, NY)- Moody-pop artist Yasmeen, is releasing her new single “Stranger” in anticipation of her upcoming debut album, Marina Del Rey. The single, a piano-backed tune with soul-filled vocals, is centered around Yasmeen evolving into a version of herself that she doesn’t yet recognize.

The name “Stranger” stems from Yasmeen feeling lost and alone during this season of change. She had only recently moved to Marina Del Rey, leaving her hometown and everything she knew behind for the first time. Finding comfort in an uncomfortable place, Yasmeen became a stranger to her past and her old mindset.

“I felt like a stranger. I couldn’t recognize the person I was. At first, I didn’t like it and it scared me. I didn’t understand the change nor did I want to. ” - Yasmeen on new single, “Stranger”

About Yasmeen:

Finding solace with a notebook and guitar, Yasmeen's honesty in her music is the only thing that allows her to express freely what her reserved personality does not. Knowing her parents escaped the war in Iraq and made it to the states to live the American Dream is a constant source of inspiration and a reminder of the sacrifices they made. This lesson has stayed with her from the beginning of her music career and allowed her to stay independent while chasing her own vision.

Never one to follow trends, Yasmeen, a singer-songwriter based out of Phoenix, Arizona, has been able to build her brand of moody pop with detailed stories of her personal experiences and life's challenges. This transparency and willingness to be vulnerable have translated to success with her single, “Half of Me (Acoustic)” garnering over 6M streams on Spotify. Prime placement on multiple Spotify Editorial Playlists has also boosted her entire catalog to new heights (Life Sucks, ArabX, Fresh Finds, New Music Friday North Africa & Egypt, & Gary Vee's Monday to Monday). In addition, Yasmeen has gained sync placements with 3 different singles including Love is Blind (Netflix), Being Mary Jane (Netflix), Ex on the Beach (MTV), Love Island (Australia & UK), and so on. She has also been recognized by music influencers like Ebro (Apple Music), Brooke Reese (Apple Music), and media outlets like Earmilk and Miss Info. Yasmeen is currently gearing up for her album debut titled, Marina Del Rey with a release in the Fall of 2022.
