Atlanta-based Health and Fitness Pop trio 3D The Boss have announced their debut full-length album “Push It”, out on all platforms April 15, 2021. Stylistically, these seasoned musicians effortlessly combine their 70’s and 80’s funk and r&b inspirations with modern pop and electro elements for a potent signature sound.

Most pop, funk & r&b projects intend for their audiences to get moving, but with 3D The Boss it’s practically mandatory. Described by visionary Saint Day Adeogba as ‘music to raise your frequency to a higher level’, the music on “Push It” is not only energetic, but it’s infused with meaning and spirit as it encourages the listener to live a healthy lifestyle. Whether you’re working out with the band during one of their live performances or just listening to the album, the songs stand on their own, each with it’s own distinct groove. I.M.P’s recommendations are “BBGG”, “Push It”, “Go”, and the left field self-confidence anthem “Do My Dance”.

The Shadowboxers | FLOAT ON BY | Official Lyric Video (Video)

Categories: Blogwave, The Latest, Video|Tags: , , |

“Classified as Synthwave ‘Float On Bye’ is actually a catchy, foot tapping, head nodding, hip shaking, blend of a multitude of genres. The lyrics are deep & cover the absurdity of inevitable results regardless of the desire to effect ones karma. A great tune that will get you hooked by verse two.”

“Float On By” Quote: “Float On By is a rumination on the unavoidable paradoxes of life and the anxiety of worrying about these things we can’t control. It’s the idea that ambition is ego. The moment you stop trying, you finally get what you need. So you might as well float in the river of life” – Adam Hoffman of The Shadowboxers

https://twitter.com/theshadowboxers

ALBUM QUOTE: “We’ve spent a decade in search of our identity, meandering our way through different styles and genres in hopes of landing on something that all three of us can see ourselves in. This is the album where we found it. We locked ourselves in the studio and didn’t come out until all three of us felt like we’d communicated our visions and seen them through. Just us. No one else. No one to hide behind or pass the ball to. We fought, we compromised, we faced issues that had been building up for a decade. And we came out on the other side with The Slow March of Time Flies By, our most honest work to date.” – Scott Tyler of The Shadowboxers

“Legitimate Hustler from Eon MC Etc. in his new album Westside, Bitch!, released under United Statements, is a melodious, balanced and varied song with thought-provoking lyrics and an expressive vocal perfomance. Chorus is very memorable. ”

‘Eon MC Etc.’ was born and raised in Lawton, OK and began singing in the church choir at the tender age of 8. Shortly thereafter, Eon began to appreciate secular music in the form of hip-hop and became a student of the craft, writing and reciting his own lyrics. All throughout his life, he firmly believed he would pave a way for himself in the entertainment industry. Like his partner on the track ‘Lady Liberty,’ the young emcee fell in love with acting and pursued his stage career in NYC, where he eventually met his long time friend and partner in lyricism, Adduci...

Jesse Royal, Stonebwoy – Dirty Money (Spotify)

Categories: Audio, The Latest, World Music|Tags: , , , |

“The new song of -Jesse Royal and Stonebwoy-, creates a unique atmosphere with its melted carefree rhythm of reggae. Such a release proves once again that good music is a special kind of art for the ears and soul too.”

“Уникальная песня от -Jesse Royal и Stonebwoy-, с не менее уникальной атмосферой, в которой плавится размеренный ритм беззаботного регги. Подобный релиз в очередной раз доказывает, что делать музыку для души тоже, что и создавать искусство.”

-Nagamag.com

Jesse Royal teams up with Ghanaian Afrobeat/Dancehall star Stonebwoy for “Dirty Money,” where a lilting African-influenced rhythm track propels the lyrics’ unrelenting condemnation of political greed: “If education is key, why you can’t make it free for we? Or is it because you profit from poverty? When you look at me do you see a man or do you see another vote for your party? Not even holy water can clean your dirty money.”

The track is the latest single and fourth release from Royal’s upcoming sophomore album, Royal, due to come out June 11 via Easy Star Records. The single follows "Rich Forever" which had an accompanying video premiered by The FADER this week. The new song “Dirty Money” features a cross-cultural beat, co-produced by Grammy-award winning producer Sean Alaric (responsible for Koffee’s “Throne” and Teyana Taylor’s “Bad”) and Jesse himself and captures the sounds of Jamaica and Africa.

The album title Royal describes the quality of music he’s making but also offers a succinct definition of Jamaica’s signature beat. “Reggae is a different tone, a different feeling, a different mood. It speaks to you in different ways, it is definitely royal music,” says Jesse. Jesse adopted a new approach for creating the songs on Royal, collaborating with like-minded colleagues and just letting the creativity flow. The result is 11 tracks that incorporate live instrumentation and programmed riffs, experimental and traditional sounds, all of which contribute to Jesse’s most impressive body of work to date. The messages delivered throughout Royal are militant yet divinely inspired, profoundly moving and politically provocative, while the album’s multi-textured sonics are rooted in reggae but also incorporate a 21st century burnished palette of influences.

BabyJake – Funny Thing About Love feat. Bipolar Sunshine (Official Lyric Video) (Video)

Categories: Pop, The Latest, Video|Tags: , , , |

“Intelligently arranged sound. clear mix and floating vocals that beautifully decorate the already vibrant and dynamic tune. Surrealistic creation and valuable find for any music collection.”

“Звук грамотно распределён, отчётливо слышен каждый инструмент, а плавающий вокал красиво разукрашивает и без того яркую и динамичную мелодию. Ирреальное звучание и ценная находка для любой коллекции.”

Today, alternative singer, songwriter and producer BabyJake recruits British singer/songwriter Bipolar Sunshine for his new summer-ready single “Funny Thing About Love” out now—listen HERE.

On “Funny Thing About Love,” bass thumps through handclaps as the funky track trails into a head-nodding groove with BabyJake’s and Bipolar Sunshine’s hypnotic vocals bouncing off one another.

BabyJake says, “The inspiration behind creating this record was definitely motivated by Anderson .Paak and Mac Miller (RIP). Both of those guys really understand modern mid-tempo dance music and that funky middle ground that lays in between. I always wanted to make a track that had that type of bounce to it, and there was no one better to do it with than Bipolar Sunshine. With both of us going back and forth with each other throughout the entirety of the track, it never gets boring. It feels like a constant party and no better way to kick summer off. As for the meaning of the track, it’s really about falling in and out of love, how quickly those transitions can be and how closely they are related to each other.”

Bipolar Sunshine chimes in saying, “Easily one the smoothest records I’ve been a part of, this just has summer good time feels written all over it.”

“Funny Thing About Love” follows BabyJake’s latest single “Do I Fit In Your Shoes?,” which was written and co-produced by the singer/songwriter and accompanied by a cinematic visual directed by duo Reggie. (Dillon Francis, Meghan Trainor, Yung Gravy)—watch HERE https://babyjake.lnk.to/ShoesVideo . Billboard described the song as “genre-defying,” while V Magazine proclaimed, “The slick guitar work and his earnest vocals do their job…selling you on the song hard.” TMRW Magazine ultimately said it best: “Returning with a smooth alt-pop creation is BabyJake, the 6’6” boundary-breaking artist you need on your radar.”

Last year, BabyJake released his debut EP Don’t give me problems, give me wine to praise from critics and fans alike. The seven-song genre-blurring EP features his single “Head In The Clouds” and was praised by Notion, The Line Of Best Fit, Ones To Watch, This Song Is Sick, Lyrical Lemonade and more. Wonderland stated, “Few artists are able to bounce so seamlessly from genre to genre than BabyJake,” while Flaunt proclaimed, “BabyJake is on his way to superstardom.” Earlier this year, BabyJake teamed up with Louis The Child on “Somewhere Else.”

ABOUT BABYJAKE

Jake Herring, aka BabyJake, first picked up the guitar when he was eight years old. Growing up in Fort Myers FL, he constantly juggled his deep love of classic rock and guitars with an enthusiasm for sports and partying with his friends. For solace, Herring often turned to his dad’s folk records, favoring the low-key contemplative sounds that resonated with the sense of alienation that he was feeling. Though he maybe wasn’t conscious of it at the time, Herring was priming himself to be a sort of musical chameleon. Well versed in the building blocks of rock music, the intimacy of folk, and with an innate understanding of the rap and pop music he grew up around, he was constructing a well of disparate influences to draw from when he eventually made a serious go at a music career. After his freshman year of college, Herring dropped out and started writing songs as often as he could. Debuting as BabyJake in 2019, his single “Cigarettes on Patios,” topped global viral charts and has accumulated over 100 million streams to date. Despite the global pandemic changing original plans for 2020, BabyJake kept the momentum going with a seven-song debut EP, Don’t give me problems, give me wine, which Lyrical Lemonade acclaimed “an exceptional project.” On the heels of its success, BabyJake follows it up with his new singles “Do I Fit In Your Shoes?” and “Funny Thing About Love,” as he sets the stage for much more to come.
