Pirate's Blind Date is a journey to the old worlds. My inspiration for this song comes from my own passion for old tales, mystery, and adventure movies. I made up the story when I was in France this summer, and I got inspired by the old villages, ruins, and wild nature. It made me think of a place with villains and heroes. A place where the forbidden can be law, and only the imagination sets limits. I hope this song will help you get a closer look into my head and see where my passion, thoughts, and ideas can take me. I really hope you will like it and join me on this journey to Pirate land! I have written and composed the song myself in my home studio.

Prolific New Jersey singer-songwriter Jeff Hartman has been writing guitar-driven, soulful soft-rock ballads for over forty years. His songs feature refreshingly candid vocals and compelling stories about life and love, often incorporating Spanish lyrics. Raised by a musical family in New Jersey (his father was a jazz trumpet and clarinet player and his grandmother was a child violin prodigy), Hartman was working as an English and Spanish teacher and tennis coach when he met his mentor, Philadelphia rhythm and blues legend Joe Jefferson, by chance on the tennis court. The two songwriters later collaborated on the track "Young Love" (co-written with Randy Cantor), which charted at 60 on Billboard's "Hot Black" charts for five weeks in 1988, and the track “Guilty” performed by Starleana in 1990 for Virgin Records.

Now with over 70 releases under his belt, Hartman has become an internationally recognized songwriter and celebrated recording artist in the soft-rock space, known for his collections of distinct, compelling covers as well as moving full-length albums of original ballads. He’s worked with Grammy-nominated artists and producers, and his singles, including recent releases “Cielito Lindo” and “Sweet Johnny,” have hit number one on Spotify’s Release Radar. His 2012 narrative pop-rock EP Curtain Call and the acoustic-leaning 2017 EP Mansfield led to the release of his highly-acclaimed full-length album Legacy in 2017, which featured all original songs written by Hartman. In 2020, Hartman released two albums, 7 and Under Cover, as well as ten singles. He’s currently writing with Kit Worton at Right Touch Studios and Bob Fowler at SSR Recording, and has released two more full-length albums in 2021: Jeff Hartman, Acoustic Favorites featuring new, original tunes, and a deluxe edition reissue of Legacy featuring additional tracks as well as new mixes of several hit singles. Hartman lives with his wife Paula on the Jersey Shore.

“I went to Wales to work with the producer Jon Maguire, and I remember having the opening lyric in my head,” says Thompson. “We spent two days working together, and managed to make something we were both super proud of. A few months after the session, totally out of the blue, Jon messaged me with an updated version including Calum! It was so magical hearing his voice on it, and I felt so honoured that he wanted to be a part of the song – it immediately felt like the missing link. We had such a laugh, I couldn’t keep a straight face while recording, Jon had to stick us in separate rooms but that voice… magical. The song was inspired by slow dancing around my kitchen during lockdown, and it felt like I was hearing these love songs from my childhood with fresh ears and I really wanted to capture how they made me feel.”

“My producer and I were about to sit down and finish a song that we had written for my album when he mentioned a demo he wanted to play me that he had written with Jasmine,” says Scott. “As a big fan of her work already, we sat and listened and as soon as the demo ended, I told him I wanted to help them finish it and be part of it somehow! I love the simplicity of the lyrics but using iconic love songs to imagine how they would be without the key ingredient of love was what really pulled me in. I’m a huge fan of Jasmine’s voice, her songwriting and her energy so to not only to work but to duet with her has been truly amazing.”

Being exposed to MTV as a kid made late 90s pop a lifelong inspiration for FVLCRVM. His new single „Do It All Again” features direct references to two hits from this era and cements the 90s homage as FVLCRVM’s latest trademark. „Do It All Again” is a song about failing as an inevitable part of life which makes it even more a true anthem for millennials. Adding the feature vocals by Czech R&B singer Annet X turned out as zeitgeisty as delicate: “The first demo of Annet’s part was recorded on her headphone’s mic while she was a little sick. It was so unique it took us a lot of time to replicate the sound and vibe from the hi-fi studio recording,” explains FVLCRVM.

The music video by Saymon was shot in Slovakia in a real sand desert in Zahorie’s pine forest with the 90s Citroen XM designed by Bertone and starring FVLCRVM, Annet X and Miška Duchová. Obstacles like broken headlights in the pitch black field after the film crew was gone and an accidentally wrecked borrowed designer jacket were overcome by the artists.

"I wrote this about my girlfriend at the time, when we first met. I liked her a lot really early on, but I knew it wasn't a situation to jump into a relationship. There was a lot of jealousy and shady actions from the both of us. This song displays the toxicity but love we shared. I wanted the instrumental to be up beat and have a dancehall style to it. When the producer sent my the finished product I knew it was going to be a hit."
